Believe it or not I like an ice cold American Miller Genuine Draft. I also like heated Grand Marnier.

I'll admit that I have never had Grand Marnier before. Is it strong or smooth?

It is an orange liquer. Can be both strong and smooth, at the same time. Knock back a swack of it and ya can get pretty plastered. Best if the shotglass is thrown into a microwave for about 20 seconds.

It's a cold Guinness, Bushmills Black Bush and a frozen Sambuca can get me through anything. All are an acquired taste and have amazing qualities when mixed with certain foods. Chocolate and Guinness for example.

A Ceasar. Superior to the Bloody Mary. Vodka, clamato juice, tobasco, worcestershire, a dab of horseradish (optional), and rimmed with celery salt. Serve with a stick of celery or, preferably a pickled bean or skewer of pickled garlic.

Ballantine's 17 year old.. many afficianados consider it the best blended Scot's Whisky in the world.

(from their website) -
A super premium brand with a deep complex flavour. It offers the true connoisseur a classic and exceptional taste from its medium, creamy body that has a complex, vibrant and honeyed palate with hints of wood and smoke.

I've actually never had so much as sip of the stuff, but i've seen it in a LCBC Signature Store for about $100 a bottle. It's something to which i'd like to become accustomed.

In the interim regular Ballantine's will have to do. I think its about 6 years old... Bushmill's if i want something less 'smoky'. All straight with one ice cube in the tumbler.

Beer is the old standby. Since i moved to BC i can't find a good strong beer i like. In Toronto i favoured Max Ice, in 500 ml cans.. but there's nothing like it out here. :-( Kokanee, a good 5% beer, made with REAL glacier water out here (thats not what they use in its Eastern namesake), is okay, but i've just become used to something with more of a kick to it.
