I was in the union for three months. At least the bastards deducted the dues for three months.
Then I got out, got myself on a company training program. If you think that working 12 hours a day, show up anytime you are told, do your best to prove that you deserve consideration for promotion, if you think that walking through shouting idiotic picket lines, risking your tires slashed by union thugs, you have no idea what tough is.
I got out and became a successful self-taught computer programmer. Non-union, because I never needed them.
Three months? I lasted 37 and a half years.
