What would you do with $4.5 Billion?

I'm a little curious as to what you out there would do with the $4.5 Billion cut from our revenue via the GST reduction. Harper also says he plans to cut it back to 5% within the next 5 years. Would you give priority to our military? Or maybe Health care, to reduce the waiting times for all procedures in all age groups besides the 5 targetted by recent measures. Or maybe even use to fund post-secondary education. Or maybe you like this cut to GST.

Lots of possibilities.

The GST cut is a joke... I would have prefered a reduction in my income tax rate. With that said, maybe that's why Harper scrapped the Income Trusts... to pay for the GST cut?

Use it to pay down the debt. As a matter of fact, I would use the GST only to pay down the debt. If we didn't have the debt, we wouldn't need the GST.

Funny you should say that, that's what prompted my question!

I'd use the money to re-organize the public service, to make it resonsible to public need....All public need. The first thing we need is a vehicle to create two way communication in even a casual sense, between government and the public.....To move forward, everyone that wants to be in the dialogue should be...At this point I'm talking from an economic perspective as it pertains to Community Economic development and Sustainability...As we move towards the development of a perpetual economy.....That's where I'd stick the money...As much as it will not be popular, we have to spend dollars on an upgrade to our government.
