proverbs4:18 states:but the path of the just is as the shining light,that shines more and more unto the perfect day. in the bible "light" is represented as truth. refer to isaiah8:20. Jesus said that the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.john4:23,24 he also said that he is the way the truth and the life.john14:6 in acts17:11 it says that the noble thessalonicans received the the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so. man shall live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. matthew4:4 this is the life of a christian as outlined from the bible.

Yes, but being a millionaire isn't a philosophical stance, whereas religion is, supposedly. If I tell you I believe in the big bang, what proof do you need other than the fact I am telling you so? Sure, I could be lying, but even skeptics use the door to leave their house.
if i say i am a millionaire and do not have 2 dimes to rub together does that make me a millionaire? or does it have to be backed up by some criteria, some proof that i am one?
Totally inappropriate comparison, istherehelp. There are definite criteria as to what makes a millionaire. Somebody who has a million dollars is a millionaire. But we don’t know what constitutes a Christian, there is no fixed definition.
So unless it is something trivial (e.g. if somebody says that he thinks Jesus was only a man, that Mohammed was the only true Prophet and yet he claims to be a Christian, that is obvious nonsense), if somebody says he is a Christian, that makes him a Christian.
Indeed, there is no other way of deciding if somebody is a Christian or not, Christians come in all shapes and sizes. When Mother Teresa is considered a Christian, so is Savonarola or Torquemada, that tells me that there really is no fixed criteria as to who is a Christian.
