What do youth really need to tell the government?

Flaming little troll, eh? Meh. Wasnt my intention, niether was posting that many times, sorry to everyone for that, my replies werent showing up right away. And not that I'm trying to keep this going, but what exactly was it about my post that got you kinda bein' a dick?

Another thing, my question wasn't answered in my second to last post, the one about how you think the issues should be solved. Just wondering why you didn't answer that one. Probable just didn't feel like it, or didn't feel you had to answer to a younger person.

Try less inflammatory language, more honest debate and a smidgin less arrogance, and perhaps folks here might take you a little more seriously.

Calling someone a "dick" or an "asshole" is hardly reasoned debate, young feller. Remember, the point of a debate is to win others to your side, using strong logic and well thought out arguments, and not to look like a hotheaded bully.

Why is that I am always reading the same thing over and over again? People bitching about the way the government treats them, as if bitching that much is acctually going to do something. When a democratically elected government mistreats its citizens, you overthrow it.

That would be because the wound is covered with bandaids and topical cream, and the skilled surgery most of the country needs to correct the system is just not happening. Over time the complaints about government ussually rise and fall, often we the public have been appeased for short spells with a mass of spending and new programs. But the honeymoon ussually wears off quick as most of them are filled with just more beaurocracy and red tape, being just as ineffective as ever.

In terms of government overthrow, history shows how effective such a maneuver is, ussually those who take the place of the deposed are quick to fall into the same patterns. Reforms are needed and with them a strong system of checks and balances that limit government power while protecting civil liberties and freedoms. The reforms should also clear the air in terms of the red tape we are all to familiar with, and give government the ability to be responsive and progressive. There have been many discussions concerning reforms in different areas on here, and alot of good ideas have been presented. Electoral reform is one i have been promoting because i think it is integral to the future of the country, and would benefit us all. Perhaps a general topic of what are your ideas for the country on any subject could be started to address multiple areas, who know there are lots of minds on here to pick, you could even use the ideas to promote a private members bill to government.
