Highly entertaining and informative for anyone interested in the early days of our country. And if anyone thinks that politicians today are unruly they might think differently after viewing how the early parliament conducted itself.

over the past two days i've been watching (on pbs) 'prohibition', a 3 part series, going back to the beginning
of the fight toward successfully having prohibition brought in, then how it affected the country, and
tomorrow, (i think), part 3 will be shown.

There was so much I did not know concerning this time in history, and its very interesting, and quite an
eye opener.

obviously something that 'never' should have happened, as it put all the 'millions' in the hands of the
underground, the criminal element, the mafia, and turned many into bootleggers, 'just a law that would never
work', didn't work, and created more harm than good.

The number of policemen and city officials who were being paid off was astounding.

Yes - a great series and very well researched. Prohibition was much more than just Al Capone and Elliot Ness, but popular culture seems to have forgotten that.

watched part 3 tonight, enjoyed it very much. it seems it was the women who got the ball rolling in the
beginning, which eventually created prohitition, then again it was the women who did the same later on
to put a stop to it, and the depression also made it clear that it was doing nothing but harm, and they
needed the jobs put back in place.

I missed about one hour of part one, so I will have to watch for a replay in the future.
