I'm listening to Cat Power's most recent album Jukebox. I really hope she plays 'Song to Bobby' at Rogers Picnic. They got a pretty good lineup this year. Some band called Roulette was supposed to be playing, I'm not too sure who they are though.

Viva la Vida - Coldplay

I ****ing love this song

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world
(Ohhh)

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People could not believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries Wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
(Ohhhhh Ohhh Ohhh)

What I've been listening to

Today I had a lot of things to do. It was a day for background, good stuff I have been in the mood for. Some Merle Haggard good ole country. and a guy named Fred Eaglesmith who has a lot of good material, not only that he rights his own stuff
Then there is a new group I came across, doing something they call Indi rock. the Group is called Scenery in Stereo. If you want a sample of something you have not heard before I have a website. myspace.com/sceneryinstereo
They are pretty good actually I like new stuff I haven't heard before, and they do their own material, so its not all that commercial stuff. As for right now, I am heading off to bed so music is shut down for the night

Pink. Sitting in the office, listening to Pink in my earphones, and trying hard not to dance to So What? I got hooked on Pink recently, it seems. I'm considering changing my forum signature to "Cuz I can!". It still seems that Timothy Leary is somewhat weightier than Pink, but maybe I will overcome it

Silence can sometimes be very oppressive, I can understand that.
Hope you'll find a way to turn it off, Scratch!

I appreciate the sentiment Vereya, but it has been taken care of by the guy across the street, chainsaw in hand, cutting up firewood for the winter.
