Since 1955, Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) has taken forth the precious from the vile, and so is as the mouth of God (Jer. 15:19). In 1991, WBC took her ministry to the streets, conducting 41,226 peaceful demonstrations (to date) opposing the fag lifestyle of soul-damning, nation-destroying filth. In response, America Bombed WBC ; & burned WBC on 8-2-2008. God is america's enemy: 5,200 dead soldiers; $11 trillion+ in national debt.
America crossed the line on June 26, 2003, when the Supreme Court (the conscience of the nation) ruled in Lawrence v. Texas that we must respect sodomy. WBC believes her gospel message to be this world's last hope. read more about WBC

Re: Destructive Westboro Baptist Church

The hatred spewed by the Westboro Baptist Church makes my stomach turn (and that isn’t an exaggeration).

I had heard of the Church before, but my premier video exposure to the Westboro Baptist Church was through an interview with Ms. Shirley Phelps Roper (courtesy of YouTube). The sort of fanatical garbage that is presented by these followers is clear enough evidence to me, and it should be clear enough evidence to the Christian communities of Canada and the United States of America, that any religion can be destructive when taken too far.

That Church and it's followers are nucking futs! They ought to be thankful for their secularist afforded rights, even though I'm sure they don't see the inconsistency with their hateful rhetoric and their justification of it.

''the fact that you use religion to spread your hate''

The same words were used against the Moral Majority and its campaign over the years.

Surprisingly, nobody is blaming Obama for any of this. But who knows - some may do so real soon. ;)

What defines a cult? What defines Chrisianity?

To me petros, a cult is defined largely by attempts to isolate. WBC does that with its members by teaching them to hate, and spew vitriol toward their fellow countrymen, right down to the grieving widows of soldiers. It is not attempting to change social policy, it is attempting to set itself apart from 'the rest' of society. It is not attempting to educate its community on its views, it is attempting to slap its communities upside the head with it, while running screaming into a bunker.

"We hate you, we're better than you, and we're going to tell you repeatedly, and as vilely as we can."

While many churches, belief systems, or points of view, may seem foreign or even illogical to me, few make such blatant attempts to make their members feel it's them against the world, as WBC does.
