Rangers D was puny tonight and the fans booed them for their pathetic efforts. The goals were certainly not G Lundqvist's fault as the Sharks got unimpeded shots because the D just wouldn't hit the forwards at all. No checking, no winning - it's as simple as that.

Yeah, it isn't the goals that you make, it's the goals that you stop that win a game

As with every team sport, you win on defense. NYR are just too puny for anyone to expect them to win the Cup with such weaknesses.

Tonight, it was NYI > Yotes 5-3

John Tavares with the hat trick!

Good game. Very intense with balanced scoring on both sides.

In the Don Cherry segment, the old coach talked about the proliferation of hand injuries due to the players wearing thin gloves, unlike those of the past. In the old days hand injuries were virtually unknown and it's time to use the old gloves again.

I said Talbot was over-rated last year. You're not gonna win much with a 0.904 save percentage.

Edmonton can't score right now but that will change. They won't be able to score enough though.

What cup would that be?

I hope they change. At this rate we will be fighting for a wildcard spot. The ducks are going to spank us and the Kings are doing quite well compared to the Oilers.

Winning is alot easier when you're not expected to. Once the "cup contender" tag is hung on you, the pressure is on.

Strome deal is looking bad. Lucic signing looks worse by the day. Jussi should retire. Perhaps they were just a tad overrated. If Talbot gets his head out of his ass, they should still make the playoffs but cup contender? Not yet.

looked like the Knights were going to win but their defense tired in the third period leading to a big Blue Shirt rally

King Henrik made 30 saves on 34 shots and won his career victory # 408

Zibanejad = game MVP with 3 points

NYR > TBL 2-1 OT

GREAT game with much intensity and the type of chippyness that we don't see so often anymore.

Both goalies excelled with splendid stops by King Henrik & Andre Vasilevskiy. JT Miller scores the winner in OT.

With none of the NYC teams playing at the 6 PM Central hour, I decided to watch old videos of NHL fights. I thought a few stood out but, come to think of it, the all out brawls started by the Broad Street Bullies were the best.
