I can't get into MLB games nowadays as they are too long and my attention drifts with all the time outs and commercials. Good to see, though, that the Blue Jays are doing well again. They had an awesome team a few years ago and were fun to watch.

yes they did, I remember well. They were expected to come out this year with a powerhouse, but had
a horrendous start, and stayed that way for some time, but now they are very exciting and now above
500, so things are looking good again.

We have the game on when I am making supper, I don't sit thru the whole game, and we can watch in
the kitchen family room, while we are eating, and when hockey games are on, I change back and forth during
commercials.

Trailing late in the 3rd, good old Bickell ties the game then 17 seconds later.......Bolland with the winner. What a great game. Actually thought it was going to OT........but the Hawks had something else in mind. 3 - 2 final.

It was obvious that all the players were incredibly tired - utterly exhausted. But they had such great professionalism that they endured till the end. Kudos to all.

that was sweet. got late enough in the game to give boston that excited feeling that they were
about to take the series to game 7, oh no, just hang on, sorry boys, its over, you don't have to trouble
yourselves with game 7.

I love it, the right team won, cup stays in the west, at least for now, as next season chicago
won't be the west any more, but it is now, whatever happens next year isn't now.

CONGRATULATIONS CHICAGO

they can spend the summer enjoying the experience, even boston can do that, and they can heal the
wounds, only two 1/2 months and training camps start.

I love the sportsmanship, its awsome, once its over, its over, and they all come together, a good
handshake, lots of pats on the back, some hugs, from players you've battled with for 6 games, but
when its over, lots of respect for each other, thats a great part of hockey.

Duncan Keith rocks big time.........only player to be on the ice for a couple more minutes than Dunc was Zedeno.......now that's play-off hockey. Great shots of Bryan Bickell's Mum and Dad during the game and down on the ice after the win.

Just read on CBC - Hockey Night in Canada page that the team will 'introduce' ( as if he needs one) Torts on Tuesday. This is going to be sooooooo much fun. LOL!

Gratz Blackhawks.

Bergeron had a broken rib, torn cartilage, and a separated shoulder, the last of which happened tonight.QUOTE]

yes, I heard that too, and there are others with injuries, toews would not dislose what his injury
is, when asked.

that seems to be common for finals, players will not sit out, no matter what, (maybe a broken leg) lol.
it was a great finals, I enjoyed it very much.

Bergeron is a Monster too.............I winced every time he got hit last night...........couldn't help but wonder what kind of medication these guys take to keep them playing through such nasty injuries.

Right up until Bolland scored the winner, I was sure we were looking at OT..........didn't see those two quick goals coming at all. Seems this play-off scored some of the highest numbers ever for viewers attendance. It was a great series and Boston has nothing to be ashamed of they gave as well as they got.

Welcome to Canada, John. Glad to hear you always hoped to coach in the Canadian market - best place in the world to make your mark.

Impressed by your honesty in admitting past errors and in understanding the necessity of playing nice with the media - especially Canuck media. Great press conference. Not to worry that you don't speak French - not a prerequisite of coaching in Vancouver. Wish you the best of luck.

yes, i've definitely turned the corner with this hiring, I like everything he said, I like that he takes
responsibility for his reputation, BUT, I hope the media isn't just accepting that from him, and not
taking a look at themselves as well.

I see on sportsnet right after the press conference, 'don tayler' asked a stupid provocative question,
thinking he was beingfunny and cute, nah, torterella wasn't biting at that nonsense, and told him so,
good for him.
Taylor asked what he had told vineault about' 'how' to get along with brooksie,' who of course is the
main media guy who torterella argues and fought with, and brooksie was just as bad, and they ended
up looking like a couple of children.
taylor didn't have to go there, and was told as much.

It was interesting to hear torterella say that he and vineault have had many
conversations concerning 'each' others teams, I like that, they obviously are
willing to help the other one off to a good start.
