congrats to l.a. kings, a great run, very convincing, I watched the whole celebration, all the interviews,
saw the kids the wives the moms and dads, it was great.
darryl sutter was the key to the kings winning the cup, he put a new identity on the team, took drew
doughty out behind the barn and gave him a shake, and they never looked back, and by the time the canucks
met them they were in a full gallop and canucks were just starting to warm up, so there was no time
for vancouver to get it together, l.a. ran right over them and never looked back.
I wouldn't mind driving up to port McNeil to see willie mitchell and the stanley cup during the summer,
might just do that.
Both goalies played great, although brodeur had a few goal posts that helped him
out, and tonight he wasn't outstanding, just good.
I agree with jonathan quick being the con smythe winner, he is the glue that held
the l.a. kings together, and the team supported him well too, that is what makes
a winner, their game was deep from goaltending out, and so was new jersey, two
deserving teams battling it out for the cup.
OK, now we can let this go and move on, and the entry draft is less than 2 weeks away, I will be sitting
there for the duration of the day, recording all of the first picks by everyone, its fun.
and there will probably be some wheeling and dealing during the draft as well.
thanks for sharing the hockey season with me, and please come back and do it again next season.
