I've seen Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and it's a rubbish film and Costner is a crap Robin Hood. He's got a mullet for a start. And so has the Sheriff of Nottingham. Not only that but all the characters speak with American accents, even though it's set in SHERWOOD FOREST and a time when the residents of Sherwood Forest didn't even know that North America even existed. I think that one of his Merry Men was black, too, if I remember rightly. Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is one of the worst Robin Hood films ever made.

Best portrayal of the myth EVER! And it was done by an American with an American accent!

And Christian Slater too!

That's why it's crap. Of course, Hollywood has a habit of changing history and historical facts.

Having a Robin Hood and his Merry Men speaking with Yank accents is as ridiculous as a film being made about the American Civil War and eveyone in it speaking with Geordie accents.

In that recent Doctor Who episode the Doctor thought that Robin Hood is a fictional character, and that therefore the Robin Hood he met, and his Merry Men, were probably holograms or robots. It then turned out that Robin and his Merry Men were, in fact, real.

And that killer robots in human disguises with the help of the Sheriff of Nottingham were taking everyone's gold to repair their spaceship. The entire planet was saved from destruction when a single golden arrow pierced the hull of the ship, fired with the joint efforts of Clara, Robin Hood and the Doctor. They always leave that out of the history books. ****ing liberal historians.

True story! Just ask Blackie.

They did so much better than the limeys ever could do.

In fact... Warner Bros had a better portrayal of Robin Hood than the limeys did.

Come off it. Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham had mullets and they spoke with AMERICAN accents. How in any way possible was that film a good film? It was a load of typical Yank trash.

Best portrayal of the completely fictional character Robin Hood was by Kevin Costner. No Brit ever came close in the character than Costner.

The second best was Daffy Duck.
