A federal offender wanted on a Canada-wide warrant is mocking law enforcement on social media.

Michael Stamatakos, 31, has what any human with sight would call “distinguishable features” but for the second time this year, he breached his statutory release.

The provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad issued a statement on Oct. 18 that the suspect with a face full of tattoos is “known to frequent areas in Toronto.”

Wherever Stamatakos is, he’s having fun while on the loose.

In front of a news report of his warrant on TikTok, a man who appears to be Stamatakos wearing sunglasses and a bucket hat shows off his face – and taunts authorities with his presumably short-lived freedom.

The audio is originally from a TikTok post from user sartheartist who says in a video from his first breach of statutory release, “You’re telling me this man right here with every single tattoo on his face is escaping the authorities. You’re telling me they can’t find this white mother****** with a skeleton mouth tattoo and stars on his eyes, and what looks like to be a pit to hell opening up on his forehead?”

Stamatakos and another man were arrested in November 2020 after threatening the owner of a trailer they were living in on a property owned by the victim in Marmora, about 60 kilometres east of Peterborough.

The two men set fire to the trailer and took off in a vehicle, but the two men were taken into custody.

Stamatakos was later convicted of an assortment of offences.

He is currently serving a two-year sentence for arson-damage to property, dangerous operation of a conveyance, flight from a peace officer, uttering a threat to cause death/harm, and possession of a Schedule I Substance, according to the ROPE Squad.

In February, Stamatakos was also wanted by the ROPE Squad for breaching his statutory release.

He was “unlawfully at large” for three weeks before he was apprehended by Hamilton Police.

Stamatakos is described as white, 5-foot-5, 110 pounds with a shaved head and brown eyes.

Then there’s his face, mostly covered by tattoos including a heart, teardrop and stitch trails on both cheeks.

Stamatakos also has a slew of other ink on his body including “SD KEYZ” on his right calf, “THE WORLD IS MINE” on his left hand, “SPARTON” on the right side of his neck.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this offender is asked to call the Provincial ROPE Squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE), or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or 911.

The reported arrest of a heavily tattooed man for allegedly breaching his statutory release for the second time this year is apparently premature.

That’s according to police in Durham Region and the man himself, Michael Stamatakos.

The 31-year-old Stamatakos, wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant, shared a video to social media — republished by AreaCode416ix — calling his arrest “fake news.”

The social media account, 6ixBuzzTV, shared video of a tattooed man being arrested Monday in Oshawa following a standoff with police officers. It was Stamatakos being taken into custody.

Stamatakos went viral earlier this year after his mugshot was published, revealing numerous tattoos on his face and neck.

“I’m definitely not in jail,” Stamatakos said in the video, while wearing oversized sunglasses, headphones and a Gun ‘N Roses T-shirt.

“I don’t know what they’re talking about. That’s some fake news at its finest. Really, really funny.”

Durham Regional Police insisted he was not the man officers arrested.

“Please be advised this information is incorrect,” poilice said in response to the video. “We have not arrested this male. This situation is unrelated to him.”

A 31-year-old federal offender with a distinctive look and an apparent penchant for breaching his statutory release has been nabbed once again by Hamilton Police.

Michael Stamatakos is serving a two-year sentence for arson, uttering death threats, possession of a Schedule 1 substance, dangerous operation of a vehicle and fleeing from police.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad said in a news release on Tuesday the man has been “unlawfully at large” since Oct. 16.

Stamatakos was arrested in March after a nurse recognized him by his distinctive look: A face full of tattoos. In that instance, he was also apprehended by Hamilton Police.

However, a second nationwide arrest warrant was issued in October for the former North York resident.

Stamatakos and another man were arrested in November 2020 after threatening the owner of a trailer they were living in on a property owned by the victim in Marmora – about 60 km east of Peterborough.

The two men set fire to the trailer and took off in a vehicle, but OPP and Peterborough police officers later stopped the vehicle using a spike belt on Hwy. 7 near Norwood – midway between Marmora and Peterborough.

The two men were taken into custody and cops found cannabis, methamphetamine and a replica firearm after a search of the vehicle.

Stamatakos was also connected to a series of social-media posts that were later deleted. Social-media posts featuring someone with the same distinguishable tattoos included taunts directed at police. The TikTok account was later deleted.

Maybe hes just a character created by the shallow end of the deep state to justify a biometric ID network?

Toronto Police confirmed that Michael Stamatakos was arrested on July 9

A man with distinctive facial tattoos who twice was wanted on warrants for breaching statutory release has been arrested again.

Toronto Police confirmed to the Sun that Michael Stamatakos was arrested on July 9 in Etobicoke and charged with unlawfully in dwelling house.

“This means that he was in the act of unauthorized presence in someone else’s residence,” a media relations spokesperson said.

A video posted Friday by social media account 6ixbuzztv claimed to show Stamatakos being arrested in a garage by SWAT members while he was filming a TikTok live video.

The police spokesperson would not confirm the veracity of the video.

“We only confirm things that we release (video-wise) because that’s what we have control of,” the spokesperson said Monday.

Stamatakos became infamous locally for his tattooed mugshot amid the Canada-wide warrants last year.

He was serving a two-year sentence for several offences, including arson, flight from police and uttering death threats, when he first breached his statutory release in February 2023.

He was arrested a month later in Hamilton after he checked himself into hospital and was recognized by staff, who called police.

But in October he went on the run again, sparking a second manhunt before Hamilton Police caught up with him in December.

The black and white video posted by 6ixbuzztv shows a man purported to be Stamatakos inside a garage when the door starts to raise and officers wearing SWAT gear appear.

“Let me see,” says one of the officers while the man holds both of his arms out wide.

“What the f*** are you doing bro?” the man replies.

“Relax, relax,” responds one of the officers before handcuffing him and taking him into custody.

“Put your hands on top of your head. Turn around. Do not move,” an officer says.

The cops then enter the garage and turn the camera off.

Reaction to the clip ranged from jokes to disbelief.

“Never seen a more polite police ‘raid’ lmaooo,” one person commented.

“This feels like some s*** from a Trailer Park Boys episode. All the way down to the dialogue,” said another.

Perhaps if they didn't release him in the first place, they wouldn't have to keep re-arresting him.
Don't blame the cops for Groper's soft on crime policies. Just don't protest against Groper and his bullshit. That is the WORST crime you can commit in Canada today. Look at the gun smugglers who stole all that gold from Pearson airport last year. Every single one of them is living free right now after being released because they couldn't get a timely trial date. Yet if the Groper govt wants to persecute and prosecute you because you hurt his little feelings, you go straight to the front of the trial line.
