If nutritional needs were met by food alone why are so many foods fortified?

that's right, many foods are fortified for a good reason, but many 'I think', are fortified to suck people
in to buying them for that reason alone.

if you like the food, it is a healthy food, and it is fortified, thats OK, won't hurt to eat it, 'good' that
is fortified, and probably doesn't matter if it wasn't.

depends who is eating the fortified food, maybe they need the extra help for reasons we don't know
about. Maybe they live at the north pole, can't get vitamins, but can get some foods that are
fortified with certain vitamins, then it is beneficial to them.

iron is something to be watchful about, too much iron is not good, too little is not good, and if
certain people need extra iron, then it can be prescribed in a liquid or pill form to take over and
above ones everyday food, but iron levels must be monitored in that case to keep the iron intake safe.

To help protect children whose parents aren't vigilant about the menu. That's why vitamins A and D are added to milk. But that has nothing to do with sane people who make sure they eat a balanced diet.

Right on Talloola, that is one reason why I hesitate to omit any food from my diet, although I do have to admit I haven't got courage to try yoghurt yet and avoid tofu. Deliberately avoiding entire food categories is just plain silly, not to mention dangerous. If you really hate something at least hold your nose and eat it once a week. Oh yeah, Limburger cheese is another exception, but I just watch other people who avoid Limburger cheese and when they drop over dead I'll probably taste some.

Parents are starving their kids of sunshine?

Perhaps if they are in the house all day playing video games.

They don't go to school? They have no windows in their homes or schools?
