I don't believe that my long term disability coverage at my employer goes beyond 2 years.
And, if it does, you can rest assured that they won't let me double dip into my long term disability and my company pension plan. So, to put it bluntly, the only reason why I support this ruling, is because it makes the government practice what they have already been enforcing in divorce courts.

The long term disability period of 2 years is "elastic". The insurance company wants the individual to be "awarrded" the CPP D, just so they can take every dollar away from you. If you have been on ltd for 24 months, you already owe the insurance company 24 x the monthly CPP Award amount. Going forward you and you family will gt $1100 less a month to live on then you have now. The military vets and the RCMP Vets fought this and won, e-petition e-535 is attempting to get the government to change ghe PSSAct, so ordinary Canadians are protected. Nay sayr say that it's an entitldment dick people are asking for, but you don't se the hand of healghy retirees shake, when ghey collect their stacked CPP.

Why is it that Govt treats military veterans so poorly?

Is it just the mindset of the kind of low life bureaucrat scum who work in those places or something more odious?

Canada is NATO's military deabeat. Must more be said?

While we enjoy free healthcare, other NATO members have to compensate.

yes, or the government, AND if it took 2years to fight for CPP D, you will owe the difference in your income to the insurance company. I had to reimburse the ins/gov't over $100,000. It's not the guys in uniform that get screwed. E-Petition Canada e-535

so your income doesn't go backwards, it just doesn't go as forward as much as you would like.

If you are still working and are paying into a pension plan, please have a stroke etc, get disabled and you will find the money, maybe have to sell you house. Get a disease, and find out for yourselves.
