ITN: interesting site. Thanks.

interesting title too: "Iraq-America"

.........as in Iraq, USA?? (not really a stretch is it??----and enter Zip code here kind of thing)

If this is the US(G) objective......so be it. But for gosh, sakes , don't insult the world's intelligence with lying about this. Just be honest.

There is nothing wrong with finger pointing.

It holds more weight when you have the capability to point fingers and practice what you preach.

Thank you mrmom2, not that the Americans deserve it, but the Iraqis sure do, and that's the whole point of turning this thread around from some march of the web links proving the nobility of Bush hatred all the while missing what's central.

That's the new crime going on here.

When you're able to name a country the US invaded and has stayed, I'll start supporting the Red Sox. :p

agree, but unfortunately , the way this was handled from the onset ,it does not invite this kind of compassion .....at the moment. Then again.......no one knows how the US(G) will interpret it. If the US (G) sees outside assistance as helping the Iraqis, it might assume it is helping the insurgents.....and the problem will escalate even more. This is the dilemna that the US (G) has created.(IMHO)

Ocean Breeze, you have to come to terms with another sin that is not in the current fad of anger.

It is not the elites of other nations that don't want to help Iraq, but it is their citizens.

The citizens of the world are working through their Bush hatred and see little else. This is a huge blind spot.

Little do they reach out to the heroes in this mess (whoever you want to blame) and little do they want to lose their benefits of comfort to worry about a mess they feel created by the United States.

Everytime it happens.

One sin begets another.

One over-reaction begets another over-reaction.

History will give little credit to those who stood on the sidelines for all the noble reasons.

jim.......by condemning the US(G) one is supporting the Iraqis themselves. It is the Iraqis that matter in all this. It is the bushites that immediately claim :that if one supports the Iraqis , they support the insurgency.....or rebels. or freedom fighters or whatever the latest jargon is. If one does not blindly support the US(G) one is outcasted./and bashed .

Well, supporting the Iraqis. Interpret it how one wishes.

the world could do more. No question......as long as it makes it clear , that it is for the Iraqis ......and not for the US (G) ......or the Iraqi gov't which although supposedly "elected ," is still being controlled by the US(G).

We citizens of the world have got to realize that the fault lies not in our leaders, the stars, but rather in ourselves, rather in our predictable, habitual responses to every political debate, every major issue.

The elites know this. They are well versed in who we are.

spare us the platitudes.

Platitudes will always serve a purpose when there are people who believe, apparently, that the cause of world peace *will* be advanced if they put on their cars a bumpersticker that reads "World Peace" with a smiley face in the middle. That'll show those wicked warmongers! Or have misdirected superior morality.
