Here's my point. It is unlikely you will find a single major organization, private, government, or international, that does not have some members/employees involved in nefarious activities. I guess the easy solution would be to stop funding any of them, but they also do important work.

This is what audits are for. Thus far on this site all I've heard is "Fund UNRWA because they do necessary work" and "Nuke UNRWA."
Auditing them would be much worse than nuking them.

Army engineers took reporters for foreign news outlets through the passages at a time of crisis for UNRWA, which has launched an internal probe and seen a string of donor countries freeze funding over allegations last month by Israel that some of its staff doubled as Hamas operatives.

UNRWA Headquarters is in Gaza City, among northern areas that Israeli troops and tanks overran early in the four-month-old war against the governing Islamist faction Hamas, sending hundreds of thousands of civilians fleeing southward.

Reporters on the closely escorted trip entered a shaft next to a school on the periphery of the U.N. compound, descending to the concrete-lined tunnel. Twenty minutes of walking through the stifling hot, narrow and occasionally winding passage brought them underneath UNRWA Headquarters, an army lieutenant-colonel leading the tour said.

The tunnel, which the military said was 700 metres long and 18 metres deep, bifurcated at times, revealing side-rooms. There was an office space, with steel safes that had been opened and emptied. There was a tiled toilet. One large chamber was packed with computer servers, another with industrial battery stacks.

“Everything is conducted from here. All the energy for the tunnels, which you walked through them are powered from here," said the lieutenant-colonel, who gave only his first name, Ido.

"This is one of the central commands of the intelligence. This place is one of the Hamas intelligence units, where they commanded most of the combat."

But Ido said Hamas appeared to have evacuated in the face of the Israeli advance, preemptively cutting off communications cables that, in an above-ground part of the tour, he showed running through the floor of the UNRWA Headquarters' basement.

The Palestinians (Not all Palestinians are Hamas, but all Hamas are Terrorists, or something like that) have accused Israel of falsifying information to tarnish UNRWA, which employs 13,000 people in the Gaza Strip and has been a lifeline for the aid-dependent population for years. The agency runs schools, primary healthcare clinics and other social services, and distributes aid, describing its activities as purely humanitarian.

Israeli attacks on Gaza since the October 7 surprise Hamas attacks on Israel left about 1,200 dead and saw more than 250 others taken hostage from Israel, have killed at least 28,576 Palestinians and injured another 68,291, the Hamas Ministry of Health in Hamas-controlled Gaza said on Wednesday. CNN cannot independently verify the figures due to the difficulty of reporting from the war zone.

Last month, Israel presented the United Nations, the United States, and other allies with a dossier that included allegations about these 12 UNRWA employees – out of 13,000 in Gaza – leading more than a dozen countries to suspend funding to the agency, which plays a central role in feeding and sheltering hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the strip.

UNRWA quickly fired 10 of the 12 staff members accused by Israel of involvement in the October 7 attacks and launched an investigation into the allegations, in hopes of keeping international funding to the agency flowing at a critical time. The UN said two of the 12 had died.

The Israeli government said the social worker was a Hamas operative involved in kidnapping an Israeli soldier from Be’eri and coordinating the transfer of weapons and trucks. It accused the math teacher of holding a “logistical position” in Hamas’s Deir el-Balah battalion and said he was involved in “receiving and holding hostages” and was “seen photographing a female hostage.”

Israel’s allegations against the other UNRWA employees ranged from being identified in Israel on October 7 to assisting in kidnapping Israelis.

“ UNRWA has lost legitimacy and can no longer function as a UN body. I have instructed the defense establishment to begin transferring responsibilities related to the delivery of aid, to additional organizations,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told reporters during a briefing on Friday. “UNRWA is deeply embedded in terror activity. The world must see the pictures that I have shown here.”

An UNRWA spokesman said the United Nation’s highest investigative authority is investigating the matter, but declined to comment on the additional details provided by Israel on Friday. So they’re investigating themselves? Cool beans!

“As long as the investigation is ongoing, UNRWA is not in a position to provide further information on the allegations in question,” the UNRWA spokesman said.

Gallant also alleged that 1,468 UNRWA workers – or about 12% of its Gaza staff – “are known to be active” members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad, of which he said 185 are “active in the military branches of Hamas.” He did not provide any evidence to back up his claim.

Hamas wanted wrath, they got wrath. I don't see the Israelis slowing down and I don't think another dime should go to UNRWA, they are compromised by Hamas.

What a joke.
No no no no. It's a conspiracy.

The UN knows the truth. They even flaunt the Flat Earth as their logo.

Galileo Figaro Magnifico's excommuniation was not about disproving the globe as reality but disguising the flat earth as a globe as fact which would prove a third dimension (Trinity).

Books like the bible are 2 dimensional so Catholics did everything they could eventually release the beast through the "Cathode ray" aka TV as your 2 dimensional reality. 3D is the Matrix.

Bye bye Miss American Pi...

Go into the light motherfuckers!

The government abruptly cancelled a press conference announcing new humanitarian funding for Gaza hours before it was set to begin on Wednesday, after reports leaked out that Canada would soon restore funding to United Nations Relief and Works Agency, leaving confusion about the status of the aid money.

A little over a month after Canada hit the pause button on funding UNRWA, reports suggest the federal government is prepared to resume sending money by next month.

Citing confidential sources, reports published Tuesday evening by CBC News suggest Canada is preparing to resume sending money to UNRWA.

Canada halted funding UNRWA in 2010, due to long-standing allegations that the agency promoted antisemitism and was linked to terror groups like Hamas.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reinstated Canada’s $25 million in funding in 2016, because it was 2015-ish?

Suing her fort what?
Palestinian Canadians and human rights lawyers are suing Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly over exports of military equipment to Israel, which they argue violate Canada’s obligations under domestic and international law.

The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, asks a federal court to order the Canadian government to stop issuing export permits for military goods and technology destined for Israel.
Just days after International Development Minister Ahmed Hussen was swarmed by vociferous pro-Palestinian protesters in downtown Toronto over the weekend, his department is set to restore funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) — even as new details about the involvement of the organization’s staff in the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on southern Israel come to light.

One could hardly dream up a more perfect metaphor for the Liberal government’s total and complete moral cowardice over the last five months than the development minister literally caving to an angry mob of keffiyeh-clad demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and serenading him with shouts of “shame!” It may even be too on-the-nose as a piece of symbolism, but here we are.
Hussen was reportedly set to announce the resumption of funding to the troubled UN agency Wednesday morning during a news conference in Mississauga, Ont., but this event was abruptly cancelled late in the day on Tuesday, shortly after Israel released a new audio recording implicating two UNRWA employees, one a schoolteacher, in the Oct. 7 onslaught.

The teacher, Yousef al-Hawajara, was caught on tape calling a female Israeli hostage a “sabaya,” a term ISIS uses for sex slaves under its capture. Assuming it is authenticated, the recording brings the total number of agency workers found to be active participants in the attacks to 14. Israel also said Tuesday it believes that at least 450 UNWRA employees “are military operatives in terror groups in Gaza.”
Make of the timing what you will.

For its part, Hussen’s office has denied that the press conference’s nixing had anything to do with Tuesday’s bombshell development, blaming “logistics” for the last-minute cancellation, according to the Toronto Sun’s Brian Lilley. The development minister’s office also refused to comment on the just-released evidence out of Israel.

Aurel Braun, a political science professor at the University of Toronto, told the National Post the decision to resume funding UNRWA makes little sense, particularly since the reasons why Canada cut funding in the first place haven’t been addressed.

“Aid was suspended because there was evidence so damning that democracies all over concluded there was no ethical or moral rationale to fund an organization that had been engaged with these kind of horrific acts of murder and rape,” he said.

“It’s not that this evidence has changed — on the contrary, more evidence keeps coming up of specific individuals who actually took part.”
As well, with Canada publicly supporting a negotiated two-state solution for Israel, Braun questioned the wisdom of funding an organization that he says is ideologically opposed to such a plan.

“Those who say that they are for the two-state solution cannot logically also say that they can be for UNRWA,” Braun said.

“The very existence of UNRWA is basically an attempt to prevent a two-state solution.”

It has taken the United Nations five months to finally report on and acknowledge what most reasonable people have known since Oct. 7 — Hamas raped, gang-raped, butchered, burnt and often defiled the corpses of women in a campaign of deliberate and co-ordinated sexual violence.

Disturbingly, a UN report also says that Israeli hostages taken on Oct. 7 have been raped and sexually tortured while imprisoned and that such inhuman and cruel treatment is likely ongoing.

And it’s not just women but children who are suffering sexual abuse at the hands of these monsters.

“Based on the first-hand accounts of released hostages, the (UN) mission team received clear and convincing information that sexual violence, including rape, sexualized torture, and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment occurred against some women and children during their time in captivity and has reasonable grounds to believe that this violence may be ongoing,” says the report.

All of these actions are war crimes, & asking which ones are still alive or not is asking too much by Israel?
…& UNRWA is affiliated with this? Happy pre-Ramadan.

Israel accused South Africa on Thursday of acting "as the legal arm of Hamas" after Pretoria again petitioned the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to take measures against Israel.

"South Africa continues to act as the legal arm of Hamas in an attempt to undermine Israel's inherent right to defend itself and its citizens, and to release all of the hostages," Israel's foreign ministry said.

"The repeated requests for provisional measures made by South Africa in order to assist Hamas are yet another cynical exploitation of the International Court of Justice in the Hague, which has already twice rejected the baseless attempts to deny Israel its right and obligation of self-defense," it said.
So on those above notes, Justin Trudeau won’t rule out restoring funding to terrorist-affiliated aid group UNRWA.

The Prime Minister was asked three times about UNRWA funding by Canadian taxpayers on Thursday and couldn’t give a clear answer…but that’s not surprising as clear answers aren’t a Liberal strong point.
“Prime Minister Trudeau, will you be restoring funding to UNRWA?” Trudeau was asked directly.

He never gave a direct answer despite three attempts by journalists. Let me guess….something about Water-Boxes?
Here’s the problem with his thinking, UNRWA is not an agency built for distributing food and medical aid in a war zone, they run schools and many of their employees are teachers. “UNRWA is not an agency, most of its staff are teachers, it doesn’t have the experience of doing disaster relief in emergency zones,”

“The UN knows how to distribute aid, UNICEF World Food Programme etc. It’s time to activate them in Gaza and ditch the aid organization the organization that is a front for Hamas.”

“Given its history, we believe that UNRWA lacks sufficient governance and internal controls to ensure that humanitarian aid delivered by Canada will be reliably delivered to those who actually need it and that there is a serious risk funds will be misappropriated by Hamas,” Liberal MPs Anthony Housefather and Marco Mendicino said in a joint statement.

I think if people are so passionate about Palestine, they should move back there and take all the hand-wringing Gerbal-Brained Wokers with them.
