Celebration in China of U.S. President’s Coronavirus Diagnosis Highlights CCP’s Continued Brainwashing

(Minghui.org)
Oct. 11, 2020

Just like how the Chinese people celebrated the 911 terrorist attack in 2001, many Chinese cheered when news broke that U.S. President Donald Trump had tested positive to the novel coronavirus on October 2, 2020.

This news item quickly became a hot search item on Sina Weibo, a popular Chinese social media, with 750 million reads.

The Chinese people gloating over President Trump’s diagnosis is a reflection of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) hostility education inside China about the U.S., especially when the Trump administration is taking a strong stance that seeks to end the CCP’s totalitarianism.

Such reaction forms a sharp contrast to people in the West. In addition to the well-wishes offered by leaders of various countries, many U.S. citizens stayed outside of the hospital where Trump stayed to show their support.

President Trump’s announcement on Twitter that he had contracted the virus also contrasts with the cover-ups in China, where the top leaders’ health is regarded as a “state secret” and a taboo topic for the media.

After President Trump and the First Lady’s diagnosis, all staff members in the White House were tested. The media published the test results quickly to the public. It is hard to imagine that any media in China could receive such information, and even if it received the information, would likely not dare to publish it.

President Trump left the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and returned to White House on October 5.

When the Chinese people celebrated President Trump’s diagnosis, they were treating the U.S. as China’s number one enemy. Few realized that the Chinese Communist Party itself is the fundamental problem for China.

Sanctions Against the CCP and Their Implications on Human Rights Violators
Oct. 17, 2020 | By Xing Chen (Minghui.org)

Many countries have taken actions against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for waging disinformation campaigns and turning the coronavirus epidemic into a global pandemic that has infected tens of millions.

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), for example, issued a policy guidance on October 2 focusing on the inadmissibility of applicants who are members of the Communist and/or any other totalitarian party. The United Kingdom and Japan, as well as other countries, have planned to implement similar measures.

Members of the CCP and Youth League Barred from the U.S.

“The inadmissibility ground for immigrant membership in or affiliation with the Communist or any other totalitarian party is part of a broader set of laws passed by Congress to address threats to the safety and security of the United States,” explained the USCIS Policy Manual. “Its original purpose was to protect the United States against un-American and subversive activities that were considered threats to national security.”

Immigration lawyer Gary Chodorow said excluding communist organization members is in line with American values and that it was explicitly listed in the 1950 Internal Security Act. In an article on Law and Borders Blog titled “USCIS Policy Manual Update on Immigrant Membership in the Communist Party,” he said the CCP maintains its grip on power by permeating every corner of every citizen’s life.

“The CCP permeates every level of society, pulling strings that control every activity,” he continued. “The CCP has branches inside every state administrative organ, as well as mass organizations at all levels. The CCP branches also exist inside of companies, both private and state-owned.” Even regular people with no political ambitions may be involved in the Party or affiliated organizations, he added.

It was reported that China currently has 92 million CCP members and 80 million active members of the Youth League, a junior organization of the CCP. Together with the pro-CCP internet army, about 200 million people could be barred from entering the U.S..

No Longer a Safe Haven for Human Rights Violators

As expected, this update in the USCIS policy manual triggered intense debate in China.

Hua Chunying, a spokesperson of the China’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, said she was “saddened” to see the USCIS policy update. Netizens responded to her remarks with sarcasm.

“You [CCP officials] always paint the U.S. as a terrible place. When did an inability to go there become a bad thing?” one of them wrote.

“No wonder Hua is disappointed by this,” another one wrote. “She has purchased a luxury house in the U.S. and her daughter also studies there!”

These comments are true. It is common for CCP officials to settle down in the U.S. although they had spent their entire life criticizing Western values and defending Party lines. This includes many perpetrators of human rights violations.

Sima Nan, a pro-CCP scholar, has written many articles defaming Falun Gong, a meditation system based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Since the CCP launched the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999, Sima has been heavily involved in the brainwashing of detained practitioners in China.

Meanwhile, he tirelessly attacked the U.S. to toe the Party line. On January 20, 2012, he posted the following on the social media platform Weibo, “The U.S.is enemy of the entire world… it exploits all countries… like a huge tumor. Everyone questions the U.S.”

Later that day, however, he boarded a plane to the U.S. to spend the Chinese New Year with his family, who already lived there. After the flight landed, some Chinese on the plane spotted him and asked him why he would come to this place of a “huge tumor” and “enemy of the entire world.”

“Confronting the U.S. is my job and coming here is my life,” Sima replied.

He is not alone. Yuan Mu, spokesperson of the State Council in 1989, openly lied many times by claiming no one died during the Tiananmen Square Massacre. He also made many remarks attacking the U.S. and called on the Chinese people to follow the Party line. Later on, however, his daughter went to the U.S., and he also went there after retirement.

There are many cases of this kind. A professor at China’s Central Party School found in 2010 that 1.18 million CCP officials had their spouses and children living overseas. Dongxiang, a magazine in Hong Kong, obtained internal data from the CCP authorities in 2012 that 90% of CCP Central Committee members had family members who had emigrated overseas.

Actions from Other Countries

In addition to the U.S., other countries have also tightened visa approval policies concerning CCP members. According to The Times, The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in U.K. declared on October 1 that it would expand security checks for overseas applicants who want to study subjects relating to national security, due to concerns related to intellectual property theft.

The Henry Jackson Society, a policy think tank based in London, published a report on the same day with a title of “Brain Drain: The UK, China, and the Question of Intellectual Property Theft.” The report said hundreds of scientists from China had been studying in research areas that involve knowledge useful to the creation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

Japan was also reported to increase scrutiny of visa applications from foreign students and researchers to curb Chinese espionage in the country. The Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun reported in early October that the Japanese government was planning to implement stricter visa requirements next year to prevent foreign interference and technology theft by international students and academic researchers, especially those from China.

In addition, Japan’s National Security Agency and a number of ministries will conduct stricter background checks of visa applicants and include suspicious persons in a system shared with other government agencies, including diplomatic officials abroad. Furthermore, the Japanese Foreign Ministry has requested a budget of $2.8 million USD for measures related to closer inspections in the next fiscal year.

Once implemented, Japan will join countries such as the U.S. and Australia in countering the CCP’s intellectual theft, reported Yomiuri Shimbun.

Leaders of the European Union (EU) have also expressed concerns about the CCP. According to a October 2 report by Barron’s, EU leaders scheduled a special summit for November 16 to “discuss Europe’s complicated relations with China.” The summit will be held without China and will address increasing worries over Beijing’s human rights violations and unfair trade practices.

Xi Jinping Holds Onto Power Amid Infighting Within the CCP

Commentary by Wang He
October 19, 2020

In less than eight years, Xi Jinping has established himself as the core leader and his political ideology is enshrined into the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s constitution. This not only places Xi above his predecessors Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao, and Deng Xiaoping, but he is also catching up with Mao Zedong’s legacy. However, now that the CCP is accelerating its own demise, most factions within the regime want to hold Xi accountable.

For example, in the first half of 2020, a few vocal CCP officials have requested for Xi to step down. “Princeling” (a descendant of a former high-ranking official) Chen Ping called for an urgent Politburo meeting to determine whether Xi is suitable to continue serving as the national leader. Another princeling, Deng Pufang, who is also the son of former Party leader Deng Xiaoping, openly criticized the regime’s policies in a speech he gave when he was re-elected as the honorary chairman of China’s Disabled Persons’ Federation in September 2018. Experts say the remarks were a veiled attack on Xi.

What is Xi’s reaction?

First of all, Xi took steps to solidify his authority over the regime and the military.

Xi wants to control three groups: high-ranking officials, dissenters, and big corporations.

1. High-ranking officials and retired Party veterans

Xi wants to crack down on any “non-organized political activities” by veterans. According to state media reports, the upcoming fifth plenum will pass new working regulations of the Central Committee that are intended to cement Xi’s core leadership and prevent him from being ousted by political rivals.

2. Dissenters

The regime punishes critics who openly criticize the CCP, including Princeling Ren Zhiqiang, a second-generation descendant of a senior CCP official, who was sentenced to 18 years; Cai Xia, a dissident and retired professor of the Central Party School, lost her retirement benefits; Xu Zhangrun, an intellectual and a professor at Tsinghua University, was removed from his post; and Xu Zhiyong, an activist and legal scholar, was detained earlier this year. All these incidents happened in the first half of 2020.

3. Big corporations

Financial tycoons, especially those with political ties, have been reined in by the CCP. The CEO of Anbang Insurance Group, Wu Xiaohui, was found guilty of fraud and embezzlement, and sentenced to 18 years in prison. The founder of Tomorrow Group, Xiao Jianhua, was placed under investigation. He reportedly laundered money for high-level CCP officials. The early retirement of Alibaba founder Jack Ma last year came at a time when Beijing was clamping down on private firms. In June 2018, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mandated that all of the country’s publicly listed companies must set up Party organizations for its employees.

Promoting Socialism: Xi Jinping Thought

Many books on Xi’s political doctrine, called “Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” (also known as Xi Jinping Thought) have been published—fostering a cult of personality around Xi. The first volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China,” a collection of Xi’s speeches and writings, was published in 2014, and the third volume was just published this year. On July 20, China’s foreign minister Wang Yi declared the opening of the Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy research center in Beijing as “an epoch-making milestone in the diplomatic theory of New China.” Xi’s portraits have also been put up in many places such as temples and churches.

Party officials are required to study Xi Jinping Thought and are expected to be loyal to the CCP. The regime has severely cracked down on those whose “conduct violated political discipline” according to the 2018 Chinese Communist Party Disciplinary Regulations, such as those who “make a mockery of the Central Committee’s major directives, undermining the Party’s centralism and unity.”

On Jan. 1, 2019, the Chinese app “Xuexi Qiangguo” (which translates to “Study the Great Nation”) was launched, designed for online study of Xi Jinping’s Thought. According to a report by German cybersecurity company Cure53, the app has put individual users at risk of having their sensitive information decrypted and stored.

As Xi faces mounting pressure at home and abroad (i.e., over China’s sluggish economy and pandemic response), rival factions within the regime want to hold Xi accountable.

In “Governance of China,” Xi requires officials to be loyal to the Party and “not to take the old path of a rigid closed-door policy, nor an erroneous path by abandoning socialism.” There’s no alternative and this is the fundamental reason why Xi is trapped in a dead end. Where is his new path?

The only way out for Xi and his opponents is to abandon socialism. But are they willing to do so? It’s hard to tell.

In short, if Xi and his opponents are still trapped within the mindset of pledging their allegiance to the Party above everything else, then they would destroy themselves.

The elimination of the CCP will open up a path of a promising future for China.

Wang He has master’s degrees in law and history, with a focus on the international communist movement. He was a university lecturer and an executive of a large private company in China. He was imprisoned in China twice for his beliefs. Wang lives in North America now and has published commentaries on China’s current affairs and politics since 2017.

Unlocking the CCP’s Black Box of Propaganda
Oct. 21, 2020 | By Song Shan (Minghui.org)

Audio

At the Lushan Conference in 1959, Mao Zedong made the following remark, “Suppose we do 10 things and 9 of them are bad. If people know about the 9 bad things, we are doomed.” As a result, China's state-owned and state-controlled media censored “bad” news and only reported “good” news glorying the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Over 40 years have passed, and the CCP is still censoring information and spreading disinformation to “maintain stability.” Its cover-up of the coronavirus outbreak is the latest example of its propaganda machine at work. As of mid-October, over 40 million people in nearly 200 countries have been infected and more than 1.1 million have died of the coronavirus.

As always, the CCP did not learn any lessons from the resulting worldwide loss of trust in the Chinese government, and instead continued its campaign of censorship and disinformation. Especially inside China, the CCP blocked information such as the United States' immigration policy barring CCP members from being granted entry or visa approval. There is hardly any discussion about the policy on WeChat, a multi-purpose messaging, social media and mobile payment app with over 1 billion monthly active users. This is because people know that once they dare to challenge the censorship, their accounts could be voided, which means that they could no longer make electronic payments, make phone calls, or even take public transportation by showing their health ratings on the app.

Numerous polices have recently been issued by various Chinese government agencies to regulate social media posting. For example, directives include no discussing the CCP’s policy, no discussing orders from the central government, no visiting “counter-revolutionary” websites, and no casually accepting interviews from news media, especially overseas media.

How dark is the CCP’s black box of propaganda? An examination of several examples provides a glimpse into this propaganda machine.

Mandatory App to Study Xi’s Thoughts

While restricting discussions on social media such as WeChat, the CCP forcefully pushes out tools that directly narrate its brand of communist ideology. Xuexi Qiangguo, a Chinese app developed by Alibaba, is a required app, to learn the thoughts of Xi Jinping. Government officials, employees of state-owned enterprises, and public school teachers are required to download this software and study it daily. People who do not earn enough study points every day face punishment or threats of being laid off.

Netizens have often referred to this app as a “wall in a wall.” In China, there is already a “Great Firewall” in place that essentially serves as a virtual Berlin Wall to separate China from the West. This new requirement, like a wall within a wall, makes the fact-deficient internet space in China further crammed with CCP doctrines – forcing the propaganda, or brainwashing, on Chinese citizens.

The situation is similar to that of Nazi Germany. “Once they succeeded in ending democracy and turning Germany into a one-party dictatorship, the Nazis orchestrated a massive propaganda campaign to win the loyalty and cooperation of Germans. The Nazi Propaganda Ministry, directed by Dr. Joseph Goebbels, took control of all forms of communication in Germany: newspapers, magazines, books, public meetings, and rallies, art, music, movies, and radio,” explained an article in the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. “Viewpoints in any way threatening to Nazi beliefs or to the regime were censored or eliminated from all media.”

The Darkness of the Propaganda Black Box

As mentioned above, once Mao energized the state apparatus to dictate public opinion, even senior officials within the CCP were not spared. Peng Dehuai, China’s Defense Minister (1954-1959) and one of the most accomplished generals, was brought down for speaking out about the truth of the Great Leap Forward that resulted in millions of deaths; Liu Shaoqi, Mao’s successor and the second highest leader, also met the same fate for confronting Mao.

Besides top officials and intellectuals who were silenced by the CCP, a large number of ordinary citizens also became its victims in countless disasters caused by the regime.

In August 1975, the Banqiao Dam in Zhumadian, Henan Province collapsed along with 61 other dams, causing a death toll of up to 240,000. The CCP blocked the news and did not partially reveal it until 1989. Since the major cause of the massive collapse was poor construction quality due to the Great Leap Forward, U.S.-based Discovery Channel designated the 75.8 disaster (a reference to August 1975) as the most severe of all man-made disasters, placing it ahead of even the Chernobyl disaster.

However, very few Chinese people know about the 75.8 disaster due to the CCP's information censorship. “The 75.8 disaster? Few people of the younger generation know about it,” said a local police officer in Henan Province.

Loss of life in man-made calamities is brutal; covering it up and blocking information is even more hideous.

One of the most glorious stories about the CCP Army in Chinese textbooks is the liberation of Changchun City in Jilin Province in 1948 without killing anyone or firing a shot. The reality, however, was that the CCP surrounded the city for over 4 months. By prohibiting civilians from going out for food, 150,000 to 200,000 people died of starvation.

When Taiwanese writer Long Yingtai visited Changchun a few years ago and asked about the 1948 incident, many young people had never heard about it. Zhang Zhenglong, a military writer, also visited the elderly in the region asking for details. “I know all about this—everything you asked about, but I cannot speak a word of it,” one old man replied.

“Looking at the man, my feeling was like, I spent so much effort looking for the black box from a crashed plane—I found it, but I cannot unlock it,” Zhang recalled. In the end, he finished his book and published it, only to have it banned by the CCP with finding himself detained.

Even the Great Chinese Famine, with a death toll of 45 million, is treated by the CCP as taboo in literature and scholarly studies. Back then, top officials in the Ministry of Food had collected statistics about how many died in the calamity, but then-premier Zhou Enlai issued orders to destroy all related documents.

Modern Day Lies

One may question the need to focus on history. While many things occurred decades ago and China is different now, the reality is that the same propaganda machine that produced those lies is still running today, producing more pro-CCP narratives day after day, around the globe.

On September 23, 2020, China Central Television, the CCP's mouthpiece, posted news on Facebook with a video claiming that Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist at WHO, announced that China’s coronavirus vaccine was effective. Third-party reports verified that Swaminathan had not made those remarks and the CCTV had used edited video in reporting. Nonetheless, the CCTV kept the video posted and the false news was also propagated through other CCP news networks such as CGTN.

Even military actions are fabricated by the CCP. On September 19, the Chinese military released videos of a simulation of China’s bombers targeting U.S. Air Force installations on Guam. The footage was found to have been taken and edited from three Hollywood films, including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Rock, and The Hurt Locker. Similarly, pictures published by the CCP media on military exercises near Taiwan were identified to be archive photos of Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry.

All of these fabrications aim to mislead people both inside China and around the world. And sometimes there seems to be no limit. During the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, although 9-year-old Lin Miaoke was shown on stage singing, the voice was found to have come from 7-year-old Yang Peiyi who was singing backstage. “It is an order from the Chinese Politburo [to so so],” clarified Music Director Chen Qigang on this issue.

The CCP news media also openly create lies. On February 18, 2019, the English edition of People’s Daily published an article titled “We Need to Learn to Listen to China.” The article praised China’s Belt and Road Initiative and claimed to be written by Jenny Shipley, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. Two days later, the author of the article was quietly changed to “a reporter for People’s Daily” on its website.

Among all the lies, one of the most devastating is the staged Self-Immolation Incident on Tiananmen Square of January 23, 2001, created to defame Falun Gong, a meditation system based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The Chinese regime has conducted a brutal persecution of the practice since July 1999. In order to instigate hatred of nearly 100 million innocent Chinese citizens who practice Falun Gong, the CCP rebroadcast footage of the incident over and over again, and repeated it in textbooks, literature, and all forms of propaganda.

The United Nations, Reporters without Borders, Amnesty International, The Washington Post, and other news media have all identified loopholes in the CCP's narrative surrounding this incident. False Fire, a documentary that analyzed the CCTV video footage, received an honorary award in 2003 at the 51st Columbus International Film Festival.

Sanctions Against the CCP

World opinion of the CCP has changed significantly over the past few months. Especially as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the international community has become clear as to how the regime has misled the Chinese people—and the world—with its cover-up and disinformation.

The city of Flushing in New York is densely populated with Chinese. When events are held there that expose the CCP’s human rights violations of Falun Gong practitioners or of Uyghurs, the Chinese Consulate always mobilized or paid people to harass participants.

As the U.S. government announced that it plans to cancel the pro-CCP Confucius Institutes, and classified People’s Daily and other news media as foreign agents, and placed sanctions against top CCP officials for their crimes against Uyghurs and Hong Kong residents, such pawns from the Chinese Consulate are hardly seen anymore.

On October 2, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) further updated its Policy Manual to deny visas or permanent residence applications to members of the communist party and other totalitarian parties.

Dongxiang, a magazine based in Hong Kong, found in 2012 that 90% of the CCP’s Central Committee members already had their relatives immigrating overseas. The new measures from the USCIS and implementation of the Global Magnitsky Act would help unlock the CCP’s black box of propaganda, bring it to the light, and lead us to a new chapter in history.

Dissecting the Chinese Communist Party’s Propaganda: China’s Past and Today
Oct. 25, 2020 | By Zhi Yuan(Minghui.org)

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is good at generating and spreading disinformation. Inside China, the CCP refers to the era prior to its rule as the “Old Society,” where people lived in poverty with no food, shelter, or clothing. By doing so, it claims that, without the CCP, the Chinese people would still be in poverty.

This lie has deceived many Chinese, who, under the CCP’s totalitarian rule and brainwashed by the CCP-glorifying propaganda, have lost their ability to think independently. As a result, they ignore the human rights’ violations in China, including the persecution of Falun Gong and other minority groups. Similarly, when disasters such as coronavirus hit, people continue to believe the CCP’s narrative and are unaware of the imminent danger.

Looking at history, however, what the CCP says is simply untrue. In the decades before the CCP came to power, people were relatively prosperous and led good lives, with more freedom of belief and much less censorship.

Respect for Intellectuals

The Republic of China was created in 1912 when the Provisional Constitution was instituted to ensure freedom of speech and publication. At that time, China had over 150 independent newspapers. Even during the years when Yuan Shikai temporarily restored China’s imperial system from 1915 to 1916, there were still more than 130 newspapers. People openly criticized the then-government, including Yuan himself, without consequences. In today’s China, however, Chinese tycoon real estate Ren Zhiqiang was recently sentenced to 18 years in prison for remarks hostile to the top CCP leader.

Consistent with the atmosphere of political openness, intellectuals including teachers were well respected and well paid. By 1937 (when the Japanese army invaded China), for example, the average monthly salary was 400-600 yuan for a college professor, 160-200 yuan for an urban middle school teacher, and 22-55 yuan for an elementary school teacher. How did those wages translate into buying power? A regular worker’s monthly wage was about 10-40 yuan, while a family of four could enjoy a decent life on 60 yuan per month.

Moreover, there was freedom of speech and publication at the time. Despite its conflict with the CCP, the Kuomintang (KMT) allowed it to publish newspapers and books. These publications not only openly criticized the KMT but also mobilized students—through the Marxist and Bolshevik theories—to confront the government. How does that compare with the situation in today’s China? When doctors casually shared information about the coronavirus outbreak through social media—an act in line with their responsibility to save lives—they were severely punished. The same thing happened to independent reporters who dared to speak the truth. As advocated by the CCP, from Mao Zedong to its current leaders, any resistance or opposing remarks must be eradicated even before their germination.

Living Standard

Between 1912 and 1949 when the CCP seized power, China faced a series of crises, from the warlord conflicts during the Beiyang Government (1912-1928) to the Chinese Civil War between the CCP and the KMT (1928-1949), not to mention the Japanese invasion (1937-1945). Although 20-40 million people were injured or died during the Sino-Japanese War, plus a famine in Henan Province in 1942, for the most part, people had no problem finding food.

According to a Laogong Yuekan (Labor Monthly) published in July 1934, the average monthly wage of a worker in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, was about 15 yuan. At that time, one yuan could buy 15 kilos (33 pounds) of rice or 4 kilos (8.8 pounds) of pork. So ordinary citizens were able to live relatively well.

Considering the lengthy wars in China, the relatively good standard of living was a remarkable feat, which was largely due to the openness of the political system. To attack the KMT and seize power, however, the CCP generated countless lies discrediting that reality and misleading the people generation by generation.

Chen Boda, a high-ranking CCP official and secretary to Mao Zedong, claimed that four big families of the KMT controlled China’s economy and amassed assets in the name of fighting the Japanese. Numerous pieces of evidence have proved such claims groundless. Documents released by Japanese intelligence showed that even Chiang Kai-shek, the top leader of the KMT, only had 66 million yuan ($8 million US).

In contrast, under the totalitarian rule of the CCP, corruption has become widespread at all government levels. Guo Boxiong and Xu Caihou, two high-ranking military officials, were reported to jointly own a vault with 7.9 billion yuan (or $1.2 billion) besides other assets. Even lower-level officials have amassed enormous fortunes. One deputy mayor in Shanxi Province was reported to have amassed a total of 640 million yuan (or $95 million), which exceeds the combined annual income of 9 counties in poverty.

Even without these examples of “gray” income, China’s government officials’ travel and dining expenses amounted to 9 trillion yuan (or $1.3 trillion) per year. This far surpasses the entire amount budgeted for education and enough to bring all lower-income Chinese above the poverty line.

The Propaganda of Class Struggle

To establish and secure its rule, the CCP has always highlighted class struggle and depicted the wealthy as unethical and enemies of the state. This, however, can’t be further from the truth.

Qin Hui and Gao Wangling, two historians from Tsinghua University and Renmin University of China, respectively, reexamined the CCP claim of “wealthy landlords owning 70-80% of the land.” They found that the number was no higher than 40%, meaning that over 60% of the lands was owned by regular farmers.

It was the same in the urban areas. Here is an example from Xunwu Investigation, a report by Mao Zedong himself in 1930. After an apprentice worked at a small business for three years and learned basic skills, he earned 40-50 yuan in the first year and 50-60 yuan in the second year. “Occasionally, the owner would give the entire business to him [the apprentice] to manage… Later on only part of the profit needed to be paid to the owner, often in the range of 10-30%.” Such a harmonious relationship between the business owner and the employee was the opposite of the notion of “class struggle” that the CCP portrayed about employees having to fight to earn a living.

The Dignity of Life

As described above, although the CCP claimed to liberate all people, the Chinese discovered what the reality was just the opposite. Over the past several decades, countless Chinese have lost their fortunes, freedom, or even lives since the regime took power. Following the Great Leap Forward in 1958, about 45 million died in the man-made famine (1959-1961) alone, a topic considered taboo for Chinese scholars even today.

The harm brought by the CCP is largely rooted in its lack of respect for life, which is evident in the CCP’s destruction of China’s thousands-year-long history.

During the battle between warlords in Zhuzhou, Hebei Province, in October 1927, for example, one month passed and there was hardly any food left in the city. Coordinated by the Red Cross, both sides ceased hostilities to let the women and children out before resuming the conflict. When the food ran out at the end of two months, the two sides settled their differences without holding any civilians hostage.

Fast forward to 1948 and what the CCP did to the City of Changchun in Jilin Province during the Siege of Changchun between May and October of that year. The CCP army did not allow civilians to leave to get food. With a population of about 500,000 at the time, it was estimated 200,000 starved to death.

But such topics remain taboo in China. What the younger generations learn in their textbooks is that the CCP army successfully liberated the city of Changchun without killing anyone or firing a single bullet. When military writer Zhang Zhenglong documented this event in Xuebai Xiehong (Cold Snow, Hot Blood), chronicling the deaths of 150,000 civilians, he was detained and the book was banned.

Throughout the dynasties in China, until the Republic of China, traditional values were maintained by the local communities. Even under the rule of the KMT, the government’s intervention in local affairs was restricted to the county level. For the CCP, however, the Party organization goes deep into every village in the countryside and every street in the urban areas.

China’s budget to “maintain stability” was estimated to be 1.37 trillion yuan (or $200 billion) in 2018. With state-of-the-art censoring tools, especially security cameras and Wechat, it tracks every move its citizens make. How long will this tyrannical rule last? Time will tell.

The US-China Neo-Cold War Is Happening Now

Commentary by Dr. Chin Jin
October 25, 2020

The United States and China have virtually entered a new Cold War, sparked off by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). This year, the CCP has carried out three operations to demonstrate it is a nuclear threat.

The first was when the CCP sent nuclear submarines into the waters of Midway Island at the end of January to conduct military exercises which simulated attacks on Pearl Harbor and tested the integrity of the Third Island Chain. The chain is considered the final strategic boundary between the United States and China, and runs from the coast of Alaska to Hawaii and then New Zealand.

The second was when a CCP propaganda mouthpiece announced in March that a nuclear submarine with the capability to launch a strategic attack on the United States identified a safe launch position in the South China Sea, placing the United States within striking distance of Chinese nuclear threats.

The third incident was at the end of June, when the CCP claimed that its BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, a rival to the GPS, was complete. It would provide eyes for the CCP’s nuclear missiles and allow them to carry out precision strikes across the United States.

The combination of these three threats is equivalent to the Cuban Missile Crisis during the U.S.-Soviet Cold War. Thirty years later, the United States now faces a threat from another red nuclear power.

The United States—forced to defend itself—has entered a Cold War-style all-round confrontation with the CCP.

It began its public response in July and delivered four consecutive milestone speeches, expounding in detail its new foreign policy towards the CCP.

A page of the past four decades of U.S.-China relations has now been turned. From now on, the United States will perceive the CCP as an adversary, and take comprehensive countermeasures to maintain national security, while weakening Beijing.

This confrontation has manifested in four areas, in order of importance: military, espionage, economics, and politics. The U.S.-Soviet Cold War was only a confrontation on the military front, and there was no economic globalization at that time.

Today’s U.S.-China Cold War is taking place during a period of globalization, and the United States has experienced all-out infiltration by the CCP, providing an extremely difficult challenge for the United States to cope with.

In late September, there was a brief confrontation with Chinese nuclear submarines when the United States was conducting military exercises in the Bashi Channel just south of Taiwan.

On Oct. 2, before U.S. President Trump was admitted to hospital with COVID-19, two U.S. Boeing E-6B Mercury aircraft (doomsday planes) with nuclear capabilities were seen flying over U.S. airspace, sending a clear warning to adversaries not to act rashly.

The CCP’s global strategy has deeply penetrated democratic nations.

Regarding the behavior of the CCP, I warned the Australian government as early as 2003, but received no response.

Having dropped their guard against the CCP, the predominant neo-appeasement policy, which has lasted for over three decades, has helped boost the threat of the CCP to global heights.

If the policy continues to offer a free hand to the CCP to develop and prosper, then it is not hard to imagine how pathetic and dangerous the future will be.

Economic globalization has resulted in serious setbacks to the U.S. economy, and it has also given the CCP strong penetrating capabilities against the United States.

Today, the operation of the CCP’s “fifth column” within the United States and other Western democracies is strong and rampant, with public or private assistance from famous people like Henry Kissinger and Wall Street tycoons who have been very keen to side with the CCP.

It is definitely the same kind of people in Australia who have done the same work as Kissinger. But it is not the time to “name and shame” them here.

At present, the most noteworthy issue is when the United States can establish diplomatic relations with Taiwan. We look forward to this happening.

It is my fervent hope that Australia will help the United States in this particular regard, and actively seek to enhance relations with Taiwan so as to help Taiwan get out of diplomatic isolation.

As long as the United States and Taiwan can establish diplomatic relations, this will sink the CCP into a combined crisis of diplomatic, political, and weakening popular support. If Chinese leader Xi Jinping brazenly launches a war across the Taiwan Strait in order to make a political breakthrough, the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, and India can fight the CCP together, and the CCP will be immediately defeated and collapse.

The result would force China to undergo drastic political change, and democratization will be kickstarted.

The U.S.-CCP neo-Cold War is happening in the present—not somewhere in the future.

The United States is being forced to go to battle with the CCP but it must find correct opportunities and good reasons. It seems that the United States is now eager to restore its former diplomatic relations with the Taiwan (Republic of China), but Taiwan is also now apparently nervous.

The United States does not want to fire first; she wants the CCP to fire the first shot. Then, the United States has the legitimacy to go to war as a defender. Therefore, the establishment of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and the United States is the best way to force China to fire the first shot.

But Taiwan is timid. Although it is now the best moment for Taiwan to restore relations with the United States and possibly return to the United Nations, the Tsai Ing-wen government is very cautious about whether it can withstand an initial attack by an increasingly desperate mainland regime, which may cost, according to estimates, hundreds of thousands of casualties.

The advisory team of China experts to the U.S. government has always advocated for the restoration of diplomatic relations between Taiwan and the United States, to force Beijing to fire the first shot. This then will need the military intervention of the United States, Japan, and Australia to resolve the CCP regime’s ambitious aggression, once and for all.

If Xi’s Communist Party makes an error of judgment and refuses to budge, the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations between Taiwan and the United States will greatly increase.

I was tipped off that Professor Miles Yu, Chief Advisor for China Policy Planning to the U.S. Secretary of State, made a low key visit to Taiwan regarding this matter.

Therefore, the 2020 U.S. presidential election is related not only to the United States but more to the destiny of the world.

If Trump wins, yesterday’s demise of the Soviet Union will be the CCP’s tomorrow. If Biden wins, I believe the neo-Cold War between China and the United States will very likely lose momentum, and the CCP will be relieved and continue to push forward to eventually defeat the United States and rule the world.

I hope that Australia will continue to stand firm with the United States to join the coalition of justice of democracies at this critical moment in international politics, until the CCP regime is completely defeated and the more advanced (albeit flawed) systems of democracy prevail.

Australia-based Dr. Chin Jin is the global chair of the Federation for a Democratic China. The group advocates for the democratization of China through opposition to the Communist Party and support for human rights. It was founded following the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.

TikTok is an app often used for entertainment. But could it be a tool for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)? And is the CCP using TikTok to manipulate the presidential election while creating chaos and division in the United States?

Join investigative journalist Simone Gao as she explores the unprecedented danger America now faces from the CCP. She will reveal how Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are used to hijack TikTok’s unique algorithm in order to efficiently spread targeted propaganda to American citizens.

Through interviews with Chinese AI insiders and American military and technology experts, as well as deep research into the effectiveness of prior CCP propaganda efforts, Simone will uncover the extent of the danger TikTok represents.

Does the United States have a plan to counter the CCP? And is it enough to save the Republic?

If the citizens of "the Republic" are so dumb they can be brought down by Chinese propaganda, I'd say the Republic is past its sell-by date.

"Protecting our country from disruptive influences" is straight out of the fascist game-plan.

Did The Economist Aid a Chinese Communist Influence Operation?

Commentary by Austin Bay
October 28, 2020

Audio

On Oct. 26, the Washington Free Beacon published a hard-hitting investigative article exposing a truly appalling and destructive example of communist China’s long-term war on free societies, in this case using influence and information as weapons.

The Free Beacon detailed The Economist magazine’s years of “sympathetic” coverage of China’s Huawei Technologies company. Then the report connected information to a kind of influence by documenting the magazine’s profitable business relationship with the notorious corporate giant. The Free Beacon noted The Economist did not acknowledge that economic relationship for nearly a decade.

Huawei’s deep financial and operational connections to the Chinese Communist Party are no secret. The CCP has final say over Huawei’s international operations. That indicates the CCP was a silent partner in the Huawei-Economist arrangement.

According to the Free Beacon report, written by Yuichiro Kakutani, from 2012 through 2018, the Economist Intelligence Unit (the magazine’s consulting division) published at least seven Huawei-commissioned reports the company used to “advance its policy agendas and deflect cybersecurity concerns raised by Western governments.” Huawei credited the reports with influencing British broadband and communications policy.

But here’s the damning quote that implicates the news and editorial divisions. The magazine itself had “defended Huawei in a front-page cover story in 2012—the year the publication’s consulting division started working with the company.” Titled “Who’s afraid of Huawei?” the story “accused Western countries of using cybersecurity concerns as a pretense to oppose legitimate competition from Huawei.”

I visited The Economist website and read the Aug. 4, 2012, story. The Free Beacon summarizes it fairly. The Economist’s editors called Huawei “China’s new world-beater.” The article mentioned Chinese cyber-espionage, Huawei’s government connections, its “opaque ownership structure and secretive culture,” and other security and competitive issues—column inches devoted to the list. However, the editors dismissed these critical issues as “fretting.” This quote reveals the editorial attitude: “Huawei’s competitors have a vested interest in hyping concerns about it, while disguising their own reliance on Chinese subcontractors and on subsidies.”

Substituting a bland word for a harsh one is a euphemism. The term “euphemize” also has a rhetorical meaning: a statement characterized by evasive or dismissive language. The Economist’s 2012 Huawei coverage dismisses deep national security concerns as frets.

The Free Beacon’s bottom-line accusation: Chinese money bought advantageous (euphemized) treatment, if not favorable news coverage and a positive editorial attitude in a news and business journal long regarded as one of the world’s most influential—influential in terms of its editorial acumen, erudite reporting and savvy story selection. The Economist’s international subscriber base is well educated, wealthy and connected.

It appears the CCP managed to influence The Economist’s purveyors of influence and did so not in one or two instances but for eight critical years. The CCP wasn’t simply targeting The Economist. Huawei has tried to coopt media everywhere. But The Economist allegedly influences the influencers in capital cities around the planet, which gives it unique leverage.

For the past two decades, Huawei has engaged in espionage operations, racketeering, economic corruption and influence operations on behalf of Beijing while positioning itself to dominate global and regional communications infrastructure and international digital systems.

Until summer 2020, the British government was committed to using Huawei’s suspect 5G technology—so the political influence attributed to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s reports lingered. I’ll wager the magazine’s soft and euphemized coverage helped stall attempts to curb Huawei’s activities.

The word “influence” dominates this column. “Influence operations” are a major topic of national security concern. Influence operations are hard to define. In 2009, RAND Corporation offered this one: “efforts to influence a target audience, whether an individual leader, members of a decision-making group, military organizations and personnel, specific population subgroups, or mass publics.”

From the Chinese perspective, Hunter Biden’s alleged business deals in China would classify as an effort to influence an individual leader.

Congratulations to the Washington Free Beacon for documenting how corrosive and effective China’s influence operations can be.

Contrary to What It Claims: Behind the CCP’s Name of “People’s Republic of China”
Oct. 30, 2020 | By a Falun Dafa Practitioner

Audio

In 1949, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) overthrew the Republic of China and established a new entity called the “People’s Republic of China (PRC).” The CCP also refers to the new entity as the “new China,” while claiming that the time before that was the “old China” or “old society.”

A review of the past 71 years of history under the CCP ruling, however, showed that the CCP did not bring Chinese people a better life and that the seven decades had been riddled with thought control, religious persecution, economic deprivation, injustice, suffering, and death.

In other words, contrary to what the CCP had claimed, the “People’s Republic of China” is not for China, not for the people, and not for the republic.

Not for China

The CCP was established in 1921 as a branch of The Communist International. Also known as the Third International, this organization was launched by Vladimir Lenin to advocate world communism. Inside China, the CCP was formed with sponsorship by the Soviet Union and its goal was to overthrow the Republic of China under Kuomintang (KMT) and replace it with a communist entity.

At that time, one of the CCP’s key missions was to “defend the Soviet Union.” It also forwarded to the Soviet Union all its key documents. People now can read the CCP’s internal decisions from Russia’s unclassified communist documents after the demise of the communist party. When Chen Duxiu, the first CCP General Secretary, questioned why China’s party needed to defend the Soviet Union, he was expelled from the communist party.

The nature of communism was already defined by Karl Marx in the “Manifesto of the Communist Party.” “A specter is haunting Europe – the specter of communism,” wrote Marx.

Throughout numerous political campaigns especially the Cultural Revolution in China, the CCP destroyed countless ancient cultural relics and persecuted millions of cultural elites, and thus abandoned the long history of the Chinese civilization and cut off the heritage of traditional Chinese culture. The “People’s Republic of China,” therefore, does not represent China nor it acts on behalf of China.

Not for People

In the past several decades, the CCP abandoned the Chinese people again and again to reinforce its totalitarian reign.

Peasants are the biggest group in China. The CCP led the peasants to its “revolution”—attacking or killing the landlords and wealthy people to divide their lands and properties. In turn, these peasants would join the Red Army to fight the civil war against the KMT.

However, in 1950, a year after the CCP came to power, it started a cooperative—a jointly-owned entity formed by people “voluntarily” to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations. People’s commune was then established a few years later, seizing the land back from peasants’ hands.

In the end, the peasants were left with nothing and had to live under the CCP’s control.

The other big group, the workers, was praised by the CCP as the “leading class” and “the owner of the country.” The CCP used them in its political movements to destroy “class enemies,” including the domestic bourgeoisie, intellectuals, and other groups the CCP intended to target.

When the CCP switched to the reform and opening-up policy, it mercilessly abandoned the worker class. Workers were laid off or forced into retirement with a buyout. The government provided no unemployment benefits to them and was often late in paying their salary or pensions. The CCP just called these victims the “price of reform.”

The reform of the state-owned enterprises made about 30 million workers lose their jobs and put many of them at the bottom of economic life.

Earlier this year, China’s Premier Li Keqiang said that there are 600 million people in China whose income is under 1,000 yuan (US $150) per month.

On the other hand, the officials raked in tremendous wealth. The authorities found 200 million yuan (US $30 million) cash in one of the homes of former National Energy Board Deputy Director Wei Pengyuan in 2014. They brought in 16 money counters to count the cash and 4 of the counters broke down when doing the counting.

Six years later, the authorities reported that Lai Xiaomin, former Party Secretary and Chairman of Huarong Group, took in 1.8 billion yuan (US 290 million). Lai also had over 100 real estate properties, over 100 contacts giving him money, and over 100 mistresses.

The tragedies in China and the absurdity of officials, make the CCP the opposite of Chinese people, rather than “for people” as it claims.

Not Republic

During the civil war, the CCP promised to establish a democratic republic to lure public support. After it took power, however, it quickly turned the republic into a one-party dictatorship. In fact, it added “under the CCP’s leadership” into the Constitution in 1954.

It set up eight small parties to show “democracy.” But these parties had to follow the CCP’s leadership closely. In reality, many of the leaders of these decorative parties are secretive CCP members.

The National People’s Congress is on the surface the highest organ of state power in China. However, its over 3,000 representatives are rarely peasants or workers but rather officials, composed of provincial Party heads, governors, majors, township executives, chairmen of state-owned enterprises, and so on.

“Republic” also means that a country would follow the rule by law and its citizens have the freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

The CCP, through one political movement after another, has not only destroyed people’s freedom of speech and freedom of religion and broken down the intellectuals, but also created in people’s minds the fear for the regime. People kept their mouths shut and dared not challenge the CCP, not to mention publishing newspapers or protesting on the street. Under the CCP’s repeated propaganda, many people gradually fell into the trap of its logic and trusted the party,.

A netizen wrote the following about the CCP: “Among nearly 200 countries in the world,- 20 require people to pay from their own pocket to treat illness;- Four froze their dead leaders in crystal coffin – China, Russia, Vietnam, North Korea;- Four blocked the Internet – China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea;- Three enforced household registration system (locking people to live in one place) – China, Benin, North Korea;- Two forced students to take political education classes in school – China and North Korea;- Two wrote ‘dictatorship’ in its Constitution (the CCP calls its ruling as ‘people’s democratic dictatorship’) – China and North Korea;- One adopted one-child policy: China. And only one country (meaning China) falls into every category.”

Furthermore, the CCP also carried out horrific religious persecution, especially against Falun Gong practitioners. One of the most heinous crimes is forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners.

The suppression of Falun Gong has lasted 21 years and still continues. According to Minghui’s statistics, the CCP regime arrested or harassed 5,313 Falun Gong practitioners in 238 cities of 28 provinces in the first six months of this year. The courts sentenced 132 practitioners to prison.

As mentioned above, under the CCP’s ruling, there is no place for Chinese culture, no place for people, and no place for a republic.

After witnessing how the CCP had covered up the outbreak of the coronavirus, the world, including many Chinese people, has already awakened to its deceptive nature and started to sever ties with the CCP.

I'm wondering if China is trying to (& has had some success btw) infiltrate Canada so as to have a foothold to then gain a better or more access to the U.S. especially if Biden/Harris win. Since Trudeau, who admires the Chinese Gov't, is any indication, China should have no problem coming into this country as long as he's PM. I know, this may be "little out there" but it actually wouldn't surprise me at all.

To stop this we need a Conservative government in Canada and a Trump win in the U.S. Then maybe we can get to the bottom of all the crap that is taking place right now and figure out how & where to go once the swamp and their greedy little bumpkins are thrown out. But, a person can dream - at least they can't take that away from you LOL.

Why Is the Chinese Communist Party So Afraid of Intellectuals?

Oct. 31, 2020 | By Yiqing (Minghui.org)

Intellectuals in China have suffered tremendously since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) usurped state power in 1949. They have been targeted again and again in a series of political campaigns, struggling under ideological suppression and subjected to both physical torture and mental torment. Why is the CCP so afraid of intellectuals, and why does it suppress them so heavy-handedly?

The Petofi Circles and Mao

After Joseph Stalin died in March 1956, a nationwide democratic movement swept across Hungary, opposing the Stalinist model of “total Sovietization” in Hungary. The movement directly targeted Mátyás Rákosi, then general secretary of Hungary’s ruling party, and the Soviet troops in Hungary.

Rákosi’s resignation in July 1956 motivated students and scholars to hold various forums to discuss problems in Hungary. Named after the famous Hungarian poet Petofi in the 19th century, these Petofi Circles attracted many intellectuals. They held seminars and lectures, and invited nationally renowned economists, writers, historians, educators, scientists, and philosophers to give speeches freely. These scholars analyzed the problems of the regime from different angles and put forward strategies to benefit the country and enrich the people. Their ideas won great support from the public, who followed them with great fervor and enthusiasm. Every seminar was a full house.

The activities of the Petofi Circles attracted people across Hungary and formed a huge social force. Other major cities outside the capital Budapest followed suit and organized their own Petofi Circles. Seeing that the shift in public opinion was about to turn into a political storm, the communist party ordered a ban on the club’s activities, but the awakened people had become unstoppable.

University students in Budapest proposed Sixteen Points to the government, including the withdrawal of Soviet troops, bringing Rákosi to justice, and confirmation of workers’ right to strike. Hundreds of thousands took to the streets in Budapest to protest. A few days later, Khrushchev compromised and ordered the Soviet troops to withdraw from Budapest.

At that critical moment when the Hungarian people could see victory coming their way, Mao Zedong, who was far away in China, became furious and kept putting pressure on the Soviet Union and Khrushchev. He also sent a delegation to Moscow, demanding that the Hungarian people be suppressed by force. The Khrushchev clique finally accepted Mao’s suggestion and crushed the demonstrators. The bloody crackdown on the Hungarian uprising shocked the world.

Seeing the Petofi Circles in Hungary, Mao reinforced his suspicion of intellectuals and realized their incredible power in enlightening and gathering people around them. He also realized that intellectuals and the communist party’s totalitarian rule could not co-exist. This was a major reason he repeatedly suppressed intellectuals in China and why he was so fearful of the power of intellectuals. He was determined not to allow anything similar to the Hungarian Petofi Circles to occur in China.

Mao Hated Intellectuals for Their Uncensored Ideas

What happened in Hungary made Mao even more resolute in his destructive suppression of intellectuals. He mentioned many times later that the reason the Hungarian incident occurred in Eastern Europe was that the ruling communist party failed to stick to the doctrine of class struggle and that so many counter-revolutionaries were allowed to live. Mao once said that he was not worried about workers’ strikes or farmers’ petitions because he had experienced CCP cadres to effectively suppress them. Intellectuals were the ones he feared and hated most because they were capable of spreading uncensored ideas.

Although the CCP blocked news about the Hungarian uprising, the movement still had an impact in China. In January 1957, Mao mentioned in a speech that after a school in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province extended its schooling by one year, students, instigated by a small number of counter-revolutionaries, took to the streets in protest. They seized the local radio station and tried to create a Hungarian uprising in China. “Those people inside and outside the party who support the Polish-Hungarian incident are doing a great job!” Mao commented sarcastically. “They talk about Poznan and Hungary all the time. Now the ants are out of the hole and tortoises are all out in the open.”

Mao said at a CCP conference in 1957, “There are also all sorts of weird discussions among some professors, saying that they don’t want the Communist Party, the Communist Party cannot lead them, socialism is not good, and so on. They have such thoughts.”

“The film The Life of Wu Xun, have you seen it? It has a brush pen, several yards long, symbolizing the 'educated men.' When they sweep, it’s quite something. They want to come out now and probably want to sweep us. Does it indicate that they want to restore the old system?”

Wu Xun was a beggar in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. He spent years begging for money to eventually set up a school where indigent children could receive education free of charge. He did not keep even a cent for himself and never got married. He was hailed as a civil educator and commended by the Qing royal court. The Life of Wu Xun told how he begged for money to start a school. The film was very popular, and each show enjoyed a full house.

However, in May 1951, Mao published an article in People's Daily denouncing the film, calling it an anti-party poisonous weed and attacking Wu Xun as “a liberal whose literacy programs implied that revolution was unnecessary.” Consequently, the film was banned and the staff involved in the production was punished.

In 1957, Mao launched a “rectification” campaign to “entice the snakes out of their lairs.” At the beginning, Mao encouraged intellectuals to criticize the CCP bureaucracy, saying that such criticism was not only welcome but also necessary to help CCP cadres in their work. Innocent and naive intellectuals fell into the trap and voiced their opinions and suggestions. Later, Mao and the CCP turned around and launched the Anti-Rightist Movement to purge intellectuals who had shown the slightest sign of dissatisfaction about the conduct of CCP cadres. Consequently, hundreds of thousands were persecuted and sent to remote areas with harsh conditions to be “reformed through labor” (laogai). Many of them never made it back.

The CCP Removed Humanities Studies Out of Fear

From the Hungarian Uprising in 1956 to the disintegration of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, it has been shown again and again that the power of people waking up and learning the truth must never be underestimated. This is exactly what authoritarian regimes fear most.

In order to deceive and control the Chinese people, the CCP destroyed the essence of the traditional Chinese culture and values left from the republican era, and it copied the Soviet model in ruling the country. It carried out a systematic overhaul of the higher education system and removed certain humanities studies, such as sociology and logic. History textbooks were rewritten based on “materialist analysis of history,” and the entire education system was guided by the CCP’s Marxist theories, with class struggle as its main theme.

After the abolition of liberal studies, the renowned Tsinghua University was turned from a comprehensive university to a college of science and engineering, and an education system with an emphasis on science and technology over liberal arts came into being. The number of students in engineering, agriculture and forestry, teacher training, and medical science increased from 70,400 in 1949 to 138,400 in 1952, while those who specialized in political and law studies dropped from 37,682 to 3,830. Clearly, the CCP wanted students to become craftsmen and tools of the state apparatus, with little interest in history and society and next to nothing in logical thinking.

Brainwashing and Persecution of Intellectuals

At the same time, the CCP cruelly persecuted intellectuals, who were keen to maintain Chinese traditional culture, and forced them to reform their way of thinking. Even today, students from mainland China have been trained to refer to history from the so-called “materialistic historical point of view.” Such a structure of history education, totally different from that of the West, was largely attributed to Jian Bozan, a well-known historian and former vice president of Peking University. He combed through Chinese history in accordance with Mao’s Marxist-Leninist method and advocated for academics to serve proletarian politics. His history books such as “The Outline of Chinese History” have been used as general textbooks in university history departments across China, resulting in countless Chinese students being brainwashed.

However, even someone like Jian Bozan, who had contributed so much to the new system of history education under the guidance of the CCP, could not escape persecution under a zero-tolerance dictatorship. Mao advocated that “peasants’ uprisings and peasants’ wars alone were the real driving force for the development of history,” but Jian didn’t agree with this view and said that peasants’ uprisings should not be hailed too highly in the course of history. His view offended Mao, who said at an enlarged meeting of the Politburo on March 17, 1966, “My view is that we’d better take down people like Jian Bozan... they are feudal bureaucrats.” Soon afterwards, Jian was labeled as a “veteran anti-communist.” He was subjected to over a hundred denunciation meetings and forced to confess his “crimes.” When the pressure and pain was too much to bear, he committed suicide along with his wife.

Many others suffered in similar ways. Pan Guangdan, an activist scholar in the early years of the Republic of China, was tortured to death during the Cultural Revolution. Fei Xiaotong, a sociologist who witnessed Pan’s death, criticized the fallacy that “intellectuals are fed by the Communist Party” and said emotionally, “Who said we are fed by the Communist Party! We have never been fed by the Communist Party, but the working people.” He was persecuted for 23 years and not released until after the Cultural Revolution, losing the prime time of his professional career.

The Anti-Rightist Movement and the Cultural Revolution destroyed a generation of intellectuals. For example, Chen Yinke, a most famous scholar in the former Republic of China, was persecuted to death. The well-known writer Lao She committed suicide by throwing himself into a lake when he could no longer cope with the never-ending “denunciation meetings.” Cao Yu, often regarded as China’s most important playwright, could not come up with any works in his later years due to repression of free thinking.

Repentance–-A Most Influential Film Prior to the Collapse of the Soviet Union

In the Stalin era, well-known works by Leo Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Islands were all classified as banned books, and many were burned. After Khrushchev and Gorbachev came to power, some of these books reappeared, and people in the Soviet Union began to learn some truth about the ruling Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU).

In 1987, the film Repentance, which was banned earlier for its semi-allegorical critique of Stalin, was released nationwide in the Soviet Union and became a significant cultural event before the disintegration of the CPSU. The film is completely fictitious, and the plot unfolds as follows: Varlam Aravidze, the mayor of a town in the 1930s, died. When he was young, he promised to build a “paradise on earth” for the people, but after he was in power, he began to trample and abuse those who supported him in the early days. In his later years, he became so decrepit and muddleheaded that he even wanted to shoot down the sun. He put his friend, an outspoken artist named Sandro, into a concentration camp, where he eventually died. Varlam was also responsible for the deaths of many others.

Many years later, Sandro's daughter Katevan tracked down how her father had died and decided to take revenge. After Varlam’s funeral, Katevan dug up the corpse and propped it up against a tree in Varlam’s son’s backyard. After the corpse was reburied, she did it again. Katevan was later arrested. She defended herself by exposing Varlam’s wrongdoings, which shocked everyone who knew him. Varlam’s grandson committed suicide after learning of his grandfather’s crimes, and his son, who had defended his father earlier, dumped his corpse off a nearby cliff. The film reminded people of the brutal tyranny of Stalin.

By then, Gorbachev had been in power for two years and many people knew that Gorbachev's grandfather and maternal grandfather had both been jailed during the Stalin era, and it was impossible that he held no objection to Stalin. The situation in the Soviet Union and around the world at that time also required him to take a more open and relaxed attitude.

At a meeting of the Central Committee of the CPSU in January 1987, Gorbachev announced that he would carry out economic and political reforms. A month later, he told reporters in the Kremlin that the Soviet Union would fill the “gap in history” and that the truth of history would be revealed.

The film Repentance caused a sensation across the Soviet Union not only because it publicly condemned the evil of totalitarianism but also because it encouraged tens of thousands of Soviet people to reflect upon the source and root cause of the evil. For the first time, the film exposed things that the CPSU had always concealed from the public, sowing the idea in people’s hearts: We can no longer live like this.

After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, a reporter interviewed the film director Tengiz Abuladze and asked him why he wanted to make such a film. He asked back, “Isn't this our responsibility?”

The CCP Continues to Poison the Minds of Young Students

When Stalin was in power, he personally acted as editor-in-chief and compiled a book Concise Course on the History of the Soviet Communist Party, which was also used as a reference by the CCP after 1949 when it compiled textbooks on Soviet history for Chinese students.

Upon entering the 21st century, the book A History of Russia: The 20th Century: 1894-2007, edited by Andrey Borisovich Zubov, was used as the history textbook for Grade 11 (second year in senior high school) in Russia. The book restored historical truth and accused the Soviet Union established by Lenin of being a “hell on earth.” The book has completely turned things around based on truth and facts, and Lenin, once hailed as a great proletarian revolutionary leader, was bitterly despised and rejected by the people.

The CCP, on the other hand, still uses textbooks compiled during the Anti-Rightist Movement and the Cultural Revolution. Such teaching materials and books are filled with the CCP’s doctrines and have brainwashed generations of Chinese people.

In the past few years, however, especially after Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in 2004, many people have recognized the violent and deceptive nature of the CCP. Over 360 million have agreed to renounce their current and former memberships in the CCP and its junior organizations, namely the Communist Youth League and the Young Pioneers.

More than 360 million Chinese have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

As the world becomes more clear on what the CCP is after suffering from the consequences of its cover-up and disinformation campaigns in the coronavirus pandemic, China will likely become a better place for its people and the entire world.

CCP Officials Push Anti-US Propaganda While Sending Families to Live in the US
Nov. 2, 2020 | By Jiu Xiao (Minghui.org)

The Chinese branch of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), a mandatory test for non-native speakers to study in the United States, opened for 2021 registration at 10 a.m. on October 14, 2020. Within 5 minutes, all testing slots in Beijing and Shanghai for January through August 2021 were filled up.

The rush was partially caused by testing site limitations due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nonetheless, filling up all slots in 5 minutes was still unexpected and stood in stark contrast to the intense anti-America propaganda perpetuated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the past few months.

Some netizens pointed out that many high profile anti-America warriors had sent their children to settle down in the United States. They include Yang Jiechi (director of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission Office), Geng Shuang (Deputy Permanent Representative of China to the United Nations), Hua Chunying (Director of the Foreign Ministry Information Department), Hu Xijin (Chief Editor of the Global Times), and Jin Canrong (Dean of International Studies at Renmin University).

To summarize the conflicting characters of these officials, one post cited a phrase used by pro-CCP scholar Sima Nan. When he was seen flying to the U.S. to meet family hours after declaring the U.S. the “enemy of the entire world” and “a huge tumor,” he brushed it off and replied, “Confronting the U.S. is my job, and visiting/staying in the U.S. is my life.”

A Never-Ending Exodus

The CCP often incorporates extreme patriotism into its propaganda. One example is glorifying itself while denouncing Western countries, especially the U.S.

“Chinese people are rich now—they can eat whatever they want and have fun wherever possible,” wrote CCP internet army members online. “Why do some people still think the grass is greener on the other side [in foreign countries]?”

It is because of freedom, one netizen replied: Like air, you may not realize its importance, but when suffocating, you would know how precious it is.

“When you want to practice you belief, when your apartment is demolished by the government, when your child is disabled by a fake vaccine, when your boss fails to pay you, when you lose your savings in financial fraud, when you lose your loved ones in the pandemic, when flooding wipes out all your valuables… when you seek protection of your legal rights, you could see the real face of the CCP,” one netizen wrote. “You would lose all your dignity as a human being—you would be stuck on the lengthy journey of appealing your case, or you could be stopped by officials and end up in jail.”

The democracy, freedom of belief, human rights, legal system, environment, and sense of security in democratic countries are some main factors that attract Chinese people. In the past few months, the CCP has become more isolated as a result of its stream of lies and disinformation, as well as its attacks on Western countries. But Chinese people are still dreaming of immigrating to the U.S., as seen by TOEFL’s popularity.

Canada also attracts about 30,000 Chinese immigrants per year. After Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s deputy chair of the board and CFO, was detained in Canada in December 2018, although the CCP smeared Canada repeatedly, the immigration trend from China to Canada did not seem to slow down.

According to a 2018 report from the renowned Tsinghua University, only 19% of its graduates who went to the U.S. to pursue advanced degrees returned to China upon completion of their education. New Oriental (Xin Dong Fang), the largest English testing preparation company in China, published a white paper in 2019 saying that only 28% of Chinese students returned to China after completing their education overseas.

To explain this situation, a vice president at Tsinghua talked about differences in quality of life between China and other countries. In the U.S., for example, one can take out a mortgage to purchase a house after working for a few years. In China, it is much harder for younger generations to become homeowners because the average housing price is much more expensive relative to income levels. Furthermore, the U.S. also has relatively more price stability and lower cost of living.

Xu Chenchang, a professor of mathematics at Peking University, concurred. To do research in China is much more challenging than in Western countries, he said; besides difficulty in securing funding, the corrupt system and widespread data fraudulence are also intimidating for those who want to pursue a scientific career in China.

Lessons from Siding with the CCP

While many Chinese today choose to stay in Western countries, those in the early years of the CCP’s rise who were deceived by the Party’s lies and decided to stay with the CCP often became victims in its political campaigns.

Hu Feng and Li Shenzhi, two prominent scholars in China and fervent supporters of Mao Zedong as well as the CCP in 1949, both learned their lesson a few years later. Mao targeted Hu in 1955 as a counter-revolutionist, and Hu was imprisoned until 1979, several years before his death. Li was also attacked as a rightist in 1957 and later became a strong critic of the CCP’s authoritarianism.

Many of these scholars had the freedom to choose their path. Before retreating to Taiwan, Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China, launched a plan in December 1948 to rescue about 1,000 scholars and arrange their travel to Taiwan. But very few intellectuals accepted the invitation and agreed to move.

Among 81 members of Academia Sinica, the national academy of the Republic of China, only 10 went to Taiwan, 12 went to other countries, and the remaining 59 remained in mainland China in 1949. In addition, among five thousand Chinese scientists who were in other countries, over two thousand returned to China by the end of 1956, hoping to contribute to society with their knowledge.

But what happened next was unexpected:

Wu Mi, one of the founders of Chinese comparative literature, was labeled as a counter-revolutionist for refusing to follow the Party line of attacking Confucius.

Qian Duansheng, one of the high-ranking officials praised by Chiang Kai-shek, was forced to criticize himself at Beijing People’s Congress in 1957 before being targeted as a rightist.

Zhou Shouxian, one of the pioneers of computer science in China, was sent to forced labor in remote Jiangxi Province. He developed a mental disorder and later committed suicide.

Qian Jin, an instrumental contributor to China’s nuclear weapon, missile and satellite technology, was targeted as a counter-revolutionist during the Cultural Revolution. “Those who know English are American spies; those who know Russian are Soviet spies,” said a slogan at the time. Qian denied being a spy and was beaten to death.

Dong Jianyi was born in Shanghai and graduated from Harvard with a MD degree. After returning to Shanghai in 1952, he became Director of the Urology Department at Huimin Hospital. In 1957 he was classified as a rightist and sent to Jiabiangou in Shannxi Province for forced labor. His wife Gu Xiaoying, also a graduate from a U.S. college, went to look for him, only to find that his body had been eaten up with only his head left hanging on the skeleton.

Jiabiangou was part of the Gobi Desert in Northwest China with strong winds and extreme cold. During the Great Leap Forward movement, however, more than 3,000 rightist intellectuals were sent there to grow crops and feed themselves. As food was depleted, they ate grass, rats, lizards, and even human waste, with some resorting to cannibalism. By 1960, less than 1,000 people were still alive.

What happened in Jiabiangou was only one of the countless tragedies in China caused by the CCP. Countless intellectuals’ wishful thinking of the CCP was met with harsh reality.

They include Chen Yinke (one of the best known historians in China in the 20th century), Ye Qisun (one of the pioneers of modern physics in China), Xie Jiarong (one of the founders of the Geological Society of China), Chen Mengjia (poet and archaeologist), Ma Yinchu (economist), the couple of Zeng Zhaolun (former Vice Minister of Education) and Yu Dayin (professor at Peking University), Wang Rongbin (key developer of China’s first-generation submarine), Feng Zikai (painter), Xiao Guangyan (petrochemist), the couple of Fu Lei (translator) and Zhu Meifu, Yu Guangyu (aerospace expert), and Zhan Antai (scholar).

The Class of Communist Elites

To further control China’s politics and economy, former senior official Wang Zhen proposed to have one of each CCP official’s children involved in politics and another in business (when average citizens were only allowed to have one child, high-ranking officials were allowed to have two children). With this setup, CCP officials’ children were able to use their political connections to benefit their businesses. As a result, the princelings raked in large fortunes in the 1980s. A decade later, fearing that high visibility of these assets might smear the Party’s “glorious” image, top officials were encouraged to have their children go overseas.

According to a report by Radio Free Asia in 2011, about 74.5% of the children of CCP officials at minister or higher levels (including those who had retired) had obtained U.S. permanent residency or citizenship; this percentage was even higher to 91% for the officials’ grandchildren.

A survey also found that 91% of the CCP Central Committee had family members who had immigrated overseas. Even for the auditing agency, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, 88% of its members had family members immigrating overseas. For example, Jiang Zhicheng (grandson of former CCP leader Jiang Zemin), Chen Yuan (son of Chen Yun), Liu Chaoying (daughter of Liu Huaqing), and daughter of Yuan Mu are known to have become U.S. citizens. Bo Guagua (son of Bo Xilai) and Wu Guanzheng’s granddaughter obtained U.S. permanent residency. Zeng Wei (son of Zeng Qinghong) is an Australian resident.

According to an anti-corruption official, an investigation in 2014 discovered that more than 4.2 million officials were found to have committed corruption at some point during the past 30 years. About 10,000 of these corrupt officials had fled overseas, with about 7,000 hiding in the U.S. Other sources indicated that the 10,000 officials had transferred at least one trillion yuan or $149 billion overseas.

One report found that 3,220 people in China have assets worth over 100 million yuan (not including overseas assets). Among them, 2,932 (91%) are descendants of senior CCP officials, and their fortune added up to 2 trillion yuan ($299 billion USD).

Wikileaks also exposed that CCP officials have about 5,000 accounts in Swiss banks and that two-thirds of them are Central CCP-level officials. From vice premiers, bank presidents, and ministers to Central Committee members, almost every one of them has an account there.

One netizen once described the multifaceted nature of CCP officials:

Reading Communist Manifesto from Germany.Singing The Internationale from France.Pledging alliance to hammer and sickle flag from Soviet Union.Owning a bank account in Switzerland.Holding permanent residency in U.S., Canada, or Australia, while resolutely telling ordinary Chinese people,“We will never consider the Western system!”

Fewer Safe Havens

Chinese officials have been seeking EU citizenship by investing in a “golden passport” such as that of Cyprus. Anyone who invested 2.5 million euros could become a Cyprus citizen, and the passport would work throughout the 27 countries in the European Union. Reports have shown that nearly 500 Chinese people have obtained Cypriot passports this way since the program was launched in 2013.

Due to tightened regulations from the European Commission, Cyprus revoked 26 such passports in 2019, which included those of some Chinese-born passport holders. In October 2020, Cyprus announced it would stop the “golden passport” program on November 1, thus preventing CCP officials from abusing the program.

Similarly, the U.S. has also scrutinized its immigration policies related to China. One reason was concern for espionage and intellectual property theft. Statistics showed that 90% of economic espionage cases in the U.S. in the past 7 years were related to China, while two-thirds of intellectual espionage cases were related to China. FBI director Christopher Wray testified recently that the U.S. was filing a new espionage case related to China every 10 hours on average.

To curb infiltration by the CCP, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on September 1, 2020, that Confucius Institutes would be closed by the end of this year. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services also announced on October 2 that it had updated its Policy Manual to enforce inadmissibility “based on membership in or affiliation with the Communist or any other totalitarian party.”

Insiders of the Chinese Communist Party See Crises Coming
Nov. 3, 2020 (Minghui.org)

“Most of them just listened quietly—after all, they all work in China’s system and the phone calls are monitored,” said Xiao Xia, “but after I finished talking, they always thanked me again and again. This has happened a lot lately.”

Xiao is a volunteer at the Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Service Center in Los Angeles. She said that she has noticed big changes in recent months when calling people in China to inform them of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of law-abiding people such as Falun Gong practitioners. In the early years of her volunteer work, the recipients often hung up on her or dropped dirty words at her.

As the world became more alarmed of the CCP’s brutality and lies, especially through the coronavirus cover-up, more and more CCP officials, who know the inner workings of the Party, have also sensed looming crises brewing in China and begun to evaluate their options for securing their safety. Many of them have chosen to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations so as to avoid being held responsible when the time comes to seek justice against the CCP for its harm to China and the rest of the world.

East German Trials

What is unfolding in China today was preceded by similar phenomena that had occurred elsewhere in history. One example was East Germany.

It was December 4, 1989, four weeks after the Berlin Wall was demolished. Arnold Vaatz, a physicist who worked in Erfurt where East Germany secret police (Stasi) kept records, found smoke coming out from Stasi’s district headquarters. He and other local citizens quickly went there and sealed the documents including computers to preserve records.

It was through these and other rescued files that people learned how Stasi functioned as the communist party’s secret police and intelligence agency. With 270,000 employees including 180,000 informers, it spied on nearly every aspect of East Germans’ daily lives and was responsible for international espionage.

Through television signals and word-of-mouth, East Germany residents learned about the Western world and about 2.7 million crossed the border in Berlin to West Germany, for both freedom and a better quality of life.

The Berlin Wall was built in 1961 under the order of communist party chairman Walter Ulbricht. The East German government also issued shooting orders to border guards against defectors. “Do not hesitate to use your firearm, not even when the border is breached in the company of women and children, which is a tactic the traitors have often used,” wrote an order in October 1973.

All these later became evidence to hold communist party leaders accountable. Egon Krenz, the last East German communist leader, was convicted in August 1997 of manslaughter. “At least 916 people were killed trying to escape during East Germany’s 41 years of existence, according to authorities, including 80 at the Berlin Wall,” said an Associated Press news on August 25, 1997, titled “East Germany’s last communist leader convicted in border shootings.”

Altogether, 160 people were charged related to these deaths. “I think the wall trials should continue, so the families who suffered can continue to publicize the injustices,” said 56-year-old Klaus-Peter Eich, who was shot in the back trying to escape from East Berlin in 1961, which paralyzed his lower body.

Beneath the Peace on the Surface

Now let us take a look at modern China. Although the CCP ruling appears intact on the surface, many signs have pointed to looming crises.

All public servants, from high-ranking officials to village heads, must submit their passports to their supervising agencies for safekeeping when they are not traveling outside of China. When officials do need to visit other countries, they usually travel in groups which employ a mutual supervision system whereby everyone is asked to keep an eye on everyone else so that no individual can flee or defect without being noticed.

Wang Liqiang, a former special agent, defected to Australia on November 22, 2019. He was the first CCP spy since the CCP took power in 1949 who had revealed his identity to the outside. Heng He, an expert on China issues, considered this very meaningful since Wang worked at the hub of the CCP intelligence network in Hong Kong, and his former supervisor was one of the key CCP intelligence officers in Hong Kong.

The information provided by Wang detailed how the CCP controlled Hong Kong, as well as social media and public opinions in Taiwan. The CCP’s infiltration was comprehensive and deep. Wang’s statements tore apart the iron curtain of the CCP’s massive disinformation network. Wang said he chose to speak out because he had witnessed how badly the CCP treated Hong Kong during the Hong Kong anti-extradition bill in June 2019. He didn’t want similar things to happen to Taiwan.

Netizen 4EverHongKong gave an example of Hong Kong’s suffering: the unusually high number of “suicide deaths” of young people in Hong Kong during the anti-extradition bill movement. This netizen wrote, “38 students committed suicide in 2015, 32 in 2016, and 25 in 2017, but the number suddenly soared to thousands in 2019.” He continued, “Many of the thousands of ‘suicide deaths” were young people clad in black with their hands tied. Some of the bodies were floating in the water, some were deserted in the woods, while others fell from high buildings.” Many of the deceased were known to have participated in the anti-extradition bill movement. Their families suspected that they had been killed by police, much like those students in the 1989 Tiananmen Massacre.

Hong Kong people were not the only ones suffering at the hands of the CCP. Another CCP official provided over 400 pages of documents to the New York Times on November 16, 2019, detailing how the CCP conducted mass arrests and detention of Uyghurs and other minorities in Xinjiang, in the name of education and training. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) also exposed the CCP’s documents on November 24, 2019. The documents detailed how the CCP had built concentration camps in Xinjiang that could hold one million Uyghurs.

An Era of Awakening

China’s National Health Commission (NHC) was aware of the coronavirus outbreak as early as December 30, 2019, several days after the first infection case was confirmed. But like other government agencies, the NHC and its branches at the provincial and city-level all blocked the information, while punishing whistle blowers.

As of late October 2020, the pandemic has caused more than 46 million infections worldwide and over 1.2 million deaths. The loss of human lives has drawn intense reactions from the international community.

Arthur Waldron, China historian and professor of international relations in the Department of History at the University of Pennsylvania, said the CCP has started on a path of decline and is headed towards a similar fate as the Soviet Union when it collapsed in 1991.

A senior CCP official once talked with Waldron about the concern. “He said to me, Arthur, what the hell are we going to do? Everybody knows that this [political] system doesn’t work. We have reached a “si hu tong” (dead-end street),” explained Waldron during an interview late last year.

The official continued, “But what we don’t know is what is the next step to take because … there are mines everywhere, and if we take a step, we may set off a terrible explosion.”

Wang Qishan, vice premier of China, already recognized this back in 2015 when he was secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. “The corruption in the Party is widespread and serious to the point that it will disintegrate,” he said in a standing committee meeting that year, “whether you acknowledge it or not, it is is a fact.”

Ending of the Communism Nightmare

The current situation in China is even worse than when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. “The wall will still be standing in 50 or a hundred years, if the reasons for its existence have not been removed,” Erich Honecker, then General Secretary of East Germany said optimistically in January 1989.

But the wall was nonetheless demolished late that year, followed by collapse of the Eastern Bloc of communism, including the Soviet Union, in 1991.

The overwhelming pessimism of CCP officials has also been confirmed by overseas statistics. Pew Research Center released a report on October 6 showing that views of China had sharply worsened in major Western countries.

“Views of China have grown more negative in recent years across many advanced economies, and unfavorable opinion has soared over the past year… a majority in each of the surveyed countries has an unfavorable opinion of China,” wrote the report, “Negative views have reached their highest points since the Center began polling on this topic more than a decade ago.”

Negative views of China in Australia, for example, increased 24% since last year and has now reached 81%. Similarly, the percentage increased 24% in the United Kingdom and has shot up to 74%.

“The rise in unfavorable views comes amid widespread criticism over how China handled the coronavirus pandemic. Across the 14 nations surveyed, a median of 61% say China did a poor job dealing with the outbreak,” explained the report.

Consistent with these public opinions, government officials have also taken action. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) updated its policy manual in October to step up efforts to bar Communist Party members from being granted entry or permanent residency.

“The inadmissibility grounds for immigrant membership in or affiliation with the Communist or any other totalitarian party is part of a broader set of laws passed by Congress to address threats to the safety and security of the United States,” explained Chapter 3 of the manual, “Its original purpose was to protect the United States against un-American and subversive activities that were considered threats to national security.”

After the CCP enforced national security law in Hong Kong on June 30, 2020, the U.S. Congress passed the Hong Kong Autonomy Act in July to “hold China accountable for its aggressive actions against the people of Hong Kong.” As required by the Act, the U.S. Department of State released a report on October 14 “identifying foreign persons who are materially contributing to, have materially contributed to, or attempt to materially contribute to the failure of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to meet its obligations under the Sino-British Joint Declaration or Hong Kong’s Basic Law.”

In the report, ten individuals were identified as responsible for harming Hong Kong’s interest. According to a press release of the U.S. Department of State, per Section 5(a) of the Act, the Secretary of State has worked with the Secretary of the Treasury to impose asset-blocking sanctions on each of the foreign persons listed in this report.

No need to ponder if agents have wormed their way to the Canadian power structure. They are deep in the finance, education and social institutions.

Dont say anything though, you'll be called racist.

In this majestic universe, the communist devil is making trouble
Fraud and corruption are harming a great nation
All the machinations make people only more despondent
When will justice be upheld and our conscience restored?

"When people are blinded by communism, they often lose the ability to tell good from evil, and their hearts are possessed by the desires to more gains, fame and self-interest.Indeed, the 2020 U.S. election isn’t a choice between two candidates, but a choice between good and evil, and also a choice of the ultimate question for humankind – a free society or communism."

The U.S. Election Is a Battle Between Good and Evil

Nov. 8, 2020 | By Si Xiang (Minghui.org)

Audio Video

The result of the U.S. election is still up in the air. In China, although the Chinese Communist Party has been trying to divert the attention of the public from the election, it still remains a hot topic among Chinese netizens.

On November 5, four topics on the “U.S. election” had 6.41 billion clicks and made to the top ten hot searches on Weibo, a social media platform in China, with 1.414 million comments. Among the four topics, the one about Trump’s legal team filing lawsuits in three key swing states became the most searched topic and had 8 millions comments.

The Final Battle Between Good and Evil

Prior to the election, the Chinese website NetEase posted an article, titled “The 2020 U.S. election: Not the Power Struggle of Imperial-harem, But a Clash of Value Systems and Final Battle Between Good and Evil.”

The article had sharp criticism of the prevalent “fake news” by the mainstream media in the U.S. and their left-leaning policies, such as legalizing the use of marijuana, unisex toilet, homosexuality, and abortion.

The article also said, “The laptop scandal concerning the son of Joe Biden, the Democratic Party’s candidate, is one of the largest corruption cases in the history of the U.S. It revealed criminal sex activities, drug abuse, and corruption of several higher-ups in the U.S. government. Joe Biden wasn’t the only loser in the scandal, but also the traditional mainstream media, almost none of which reported the scandal with the most basic fairness.”

The article praised President Trump for holding the traditional values of the U.S. It said, “They promote traditional marriage, family and basic ethics. They promote hard-working and self-sustainability without relying on welfare benefits. They distinguish right and wrong and do not believe that there is any gray area between the two. If people violate the law, they violate the law.”

In the end, the article said that the 2020 U.S. election is “no longer the absurd imperial-harem struggle plays, but a holy battle between different values, a contest between good and evil, a watershed of the country’s future, and even more so the future of the world!”

More than 5,000 netizens clicked “Like” to the article. Although it was soon deleted from the website, some people continued to spread it on social media.

In addition to the Chinese netizens who openly supported Trump, some of the offspring of prominent and influential senior Chinese Communist Party officials have also expressed their support for Trump on their social media accounts.

CCP's Hope to Have A U.S. President Representing China's Interest, not America's

During a press conference on November 5, 2020, Le Yucheng, the Vice Foreign Minister of China, said, “We hope that the next U.S. government will meet China halfway.”

It is the Chinese Communist Party’s wish that the newly elected U.S. president will represent China's own interest, rather than the interest of the U.S.

According to a 2018 Hoover Report titled “China's Influence and American Interests: Promoting Constructive Vigilance,” it’s said that “China’s influence activities have moved beyond their traditional United Front focus on diaspora communities to target a far broader range of sectors in Western societies, ranging from think tanks, universities, and media to state, local, and national government institutions.”

In other words, the Chinese Communist Party never stops to exploit gaps of the above institutions and politicians to advance its own agenda at the cost of the national interest of America. One such example is the laptop scandal mentioned above.

According to emails recovered from a lost laptop of Hunter Biden, the Biden family has extensive business dealings with the Chinese Communist Party. In a formal statement by Mr. Tony Bobulinski, who was hired to be “the CEO of Sinohawk Holdings which was a partnership between the Chinese operating through CEFC/Chairman Ye and the Biden family,” “the Chinese were not really focused on a healthy financial [return on investment]. They were looking at this as a political or influence investment.” And Joe Biden himself, as the “Big Guy” mentioned in one of emails, received 10% of “equity” stake of the company.

Voter Fraud

Joseph Stalin once said, “I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how, but what is extraordinarily important is this – who will count the votes, and how.”

As the states began to count the ballots on the night of November 3, extensive voter fraud has been reported in many swing states across the U.S.

According to a study by Judicial Watch, a Washington D.C.-based nonprofit organization, 353 U.S. counties in 29 states exceeded 100% registration of eligible voters, for a total of 1.8 million.

In Detroit, Michigan, one poll watcher told New Tang Dynasty TV that in the station she worked at on the election night between 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., they verified a total of 7,000 ballots. Then by 6 a.m., the verified ballots in the station suddenly increased by 130,000.

In Pennsylvania, several post office workers said their supervisor ordered them to backdate mail-in ballots that came in later than November 3, according to interviews by Project Veritas.

In addition, it was also found some votes were cast by “dead people” and there were instances of software glitch that switched Trump votes to Biden’s.

With strong concern of the voter fraud, many Trump supporters are holding rallies across the U.S., calling for a fair election. Meanwhile, the Trump campaign has also filed lawsuits in several states over alleged illegal votes.

The Ultimate Return to the Divine

In the section “Socialism: The Preliminary Stage of Communism” in the introduction of the book How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World, it stated, “Especially in terms of moral values, the socialism of the West uses pretexts like ‘anti-discrimination,’ ‘value-neutrality,’ or ‘political correctness’ to attack basic moral discernment. This is equivalent to an attempt to eliminate morality as such. This has come along with the legalization and normalization of all manner of anti-theist and profane speech, sexual perversions, demonic art, pornography, gambling, and drug use. The result is a kind of reverse discrimination against those who believe in God and aspire to moral elevation, with the goal of marginalizing and eventually getting rid of them.”

It also said that, “Human civilization was transmitted to man by the divine. Chinese civilization has seen the prosperity of the Han and Tang dynasties, and Western civilization reached its peak during the Renaissance. If human beings can maintain the civilization given to them by the divine, then man will be able to maintain his divine connections and understand the Law taught when divinity returns to the human realm. If humans destroy their culture and tradition, and if the morality of society collapses, then they will fail to understand the divine teachings because their karma and sins will be too great and their thinking will have departed too far from the instructions of the divine. This is dangerous for mankind.”

“This is an era of both despair and hope. Those who don’t believe in the divine pass lives of sensuous pleasure. Those who believe await the return of the divine in confusion and disquiet.”

Four years ago, when Trump was elected as the U.S. president, he said “In America, we don't worship government, we worship God.” With the pledge to “Make America Great Again,” he led a tremendous growth of the U.S. economy and called for the society to return to the traditional values. More importantly, he is leading the world to stand up against the Chinese Communist Party and its totalitarianism.

The 2nd U.S. President John Adams once said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

No social system that isn’t built upon the belief to the divine, or morality and traditional values, can withstand the erosion and degeneration of humankind’s morality, including democracy.

When people are blinded by communism, they often lose the ability to tell good from evil, and their hearts are possessed by the desires to more gains, fame and self-interest.

Indeed, the 2020 U.S. election isn’t a choice between two candidates, but a choice between good and evil, and also a choice of the ultimate question for humankind – a free society or communism.

Disintegration of the Chinese Communist Party

On November 2, 2020, one day before the U.S. election, the National Security Council published a new book, titled President Trump on China: Putting America First. Included in the book are important speeches by President Trump and his cabinets on the challenges posed by the Chinese Communist Party to the U.S. and how the U.S. should respond to it.

Some netizens think that the book signals a stronger stance against the Chinese Communist Party and President Trump’s more vigorous defense of the U.S. national interest. They also point out that the book indicated the U.S. is making a clear distinction between the Chinese people and the Chinese Communist Party, and that the strong stance against the Chinese Communist Party is also to help seek justice for the Chinese people who have been suffering at the hands of the communist regime.

One netizen wrote, “Since the dawn of time, justice has never been absent even though it might arrive late. It seems now that Trump’s re-election is still undecided, but that’s not the cliff’s end. If the election has been smooth without any obstacles, we won’t be able to see the real value of justice. If the evil doesn’t jump out to do evil, the battle between good and evil can’t shock everyone’s conscience. It’s not that the divine is backing off, but He is rather making choices. The salvation and joy after the final call will be written into the permanent witness of the history.

“Our hearts are beating so fast. It’s not because we can’t see the light in front of us, but we are excited that the moment for the evil to be eliminated is within touch.”

No one can redeem the Chinese Communist Party’s fate to be disintegrated and communism will be no more.

America’s Venezuela-Style Election Farce
By Cliff Kincaid
November 10, 2020
Excerpt

America sanctions communists in foreign countries who steal elections. Here, communists commit the fraud and expect to occupy the White House.

The Biden-Harris movement should be considered an army of occupation. President Trump, with more legal votes on election day, should remain in office. Trump has said that he won, and he’s right. We have to protect the president from this coup.

Today’s situation is comparable to the war of 1812, when British forces burned the White House. Later, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in a speech to the U.S. Congress about how the British embassy celebrated that event, would say, “Sorry about that.” People laughed.

We should not be laughing now. Biden-Harris are threatening to burn down our country by taking the White House on the basis of fraudulent votes.

……

Regarding the election, we already have enough evidence demonstrating that massive fraud took place. People saw it for themselves. The mysterious votes out of nowhere which arrived the early morning after the election and turned several states against Trump constitute the proof we need. This is the kind of thing that happens in Venezuela.

One analyst noted that the U.S. has now become the joke of the world due to the depraved, ignominious, and low-class cheaters carrying out this fraud in front of us. “It was similar to Venezuela,” he noted, “when the governing party halted the vote count when trailing in the night.” At daybreak, he said, “everybody knew that they had come from behind in every state and never looked back! It is typical to cheat at night.”

Back in 2017 the U.S. Treasury actually sanctioned several communist officials in Venezuela for being “associated with undermining electoral processes, media censorship, or corruption….” The U.S. said that state elections in Venezuela “were marked by numerous irregularities that strongly suggest fraud helped the ruling party unexpectedly win a majority of governorships.”

Are you kidding? That is what is happening here. Censorship? Look at Twitter, Google, and YouTube. Corruption? Look at Hunter Biden’s laptop. Irregularities? Start with Philadelphia and Detroit.

We have photos of “vote counting” facilities in Detroit being boarded up and concealed, in violation of the law. That allowed thousands of votes to be secretly brought on to change election outcomes.

The fraudsters have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar, by virtue of the crumbs on their smiling faces. They are laughing at us, the American people, thinking they have pulled off a heist and there’s nothing we can do about it.

In addition to what attorney David Evans has documented in Detroit, anybody with even basic curiosity can find stories like this, many the result of the fraudulent mail-in voting schemes:

Butler county Pennsylvania loses untold number of mail-in ballots.

Ballots stolen from mail boxes and discarded on roadsides in Washington town.

Group claims 400,000 ballots sent to residents who moved out of state or died.

Mecklenburg residents receiving double ballots due to labeling glitch.

……

One disturbing report from attorney David Evans concerned the “rather unusual looking” so-called “police officers” that were used to keep observers and Republican challengers from looking inside the vote-counting places. He explained, “I say unusual because their uniforms were not consistent. Some did not have badges and some were not well groomed.”

Who were these people? …

In the middle of all this stands President Trump, fighting against the Deep State, Big Tech, Big Media, and other forces.

While Trump has an impressive legal team, and they are pursuing actions regarding hundreds of thousands of illegal votes that must be thrown out, one of my readers suggests a legal case should be filed to correct the fraud in all states by highlighting the “glitch” that switched thousands of votes from Trump to Biden. The voting systems need to be scrutinized immediately…

Two months ago, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declared, in regard to Venezuela, that “conditions for free and fair elections do not exist” and the U.S. would not recognize a scheduled “electoral farce” there.

America’s November 3 election was a farce, and everybody knows it.

One of my readers responds to the effect, “Are you saying that when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016, it was an honest election, but now it’s a rigged election?”

The answer is “Darn tootin.” They didn’t expect Trump to win in 2016 and didn’t prepare. They did prepare this time. You’re a sucker if you haven’t figured it out.

The War on the Constitution

By Jani Allan, Nov. 11, 2020

It could surely not have been coincidental that Joe Biden chose 7th November to deliver a ‘victory’ speech to a couple of dozen Americans in a parking lot in Delaware. It was on 7th November 1917 that Petrograd was seized by the Bolshevik Party.

On Saturday Associated Press informed the world that Joe Biden was the 46th President of the United States. I didn’t think decision desks and news organisations got to decide who is the President of the United States.

I was having supper with friends. We flicked through dozens of television channels hoping for factual reporting, not public relations. All the news anchors, all with the same demeanour, were repeating the same script. Joe Biden. A landslide. More votes than had ever been cast. The Agenda had been set. The defeated old man who occasionally showed up at a car parking lot and shouted cliches at a half a dozen people was to be the leader of the free world? So here we are: It was a nine-eleven moment; that feeling of watching something while thinking ‘This. Can’t. Be. Happening.’

Newsmax had risen to the occasion. They were screening a documentary on Elvis.

***

The defeated old man, the deeply, deeply corrupt old man, was shouting more cliches about how he was going to heal the country. Joe Biden, as charismatic as a bowl of old suet, accompanied by his family and his son Hunter, currently under investigation by the FBI for charges that compromise the security of this country….

The Biden crime cartel has profited richly from America. Many patriots will recall the words of Samuel Adams which are applicable to this egregious clan.

Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

Truth is under attack as never before. A haze of deception enshrouds the world. When people do not sincerely love the truth, they come to believe lies.
---Samuel Adams

We are in the middle of a war which is being waged by tyrannical billion dollar tech companies. They decide what we can see and hear and know. Oh. And say. Harvard law professor Jack Goldsmith and University of Arizona law professor Andrew Keane Woods recently published an article in the Atlantic declaring, “As surprising as it may sound, digital surveillance and speech-control in the United States already show many similarities to what one finds in authoritarian states such as China.”

We’ve gone way beyond that. This is a repressive government. This is a totalitarian, authoritarian government that at this point rules much of the world. Even though Facebook and Twitter are private companies, government officials are encouraging them to continue censoring Republican politicians and conservative viewpoints. Big Tech simply censor stories critical of Joe Biden. A study by the Media Research Center found that Facebook and Twitter have censored President Donald Trump 65 times since May 2018, while Biden has never been censored.

“Twitter has been far and away the biggest offender, labeling, fact-checking, and removing Trump’s tweets and the tweets from his campaign accounts 64 times since the president’s election,” Corinne Weaver and Alec Schemmel wrote. Twitter is censoring the President! Satire overtakes reality. George Orwell couldn’t make this up.

The citizens don’t even seem aware that they have already lost their freedom of speech, but they must surely be aware of the breakdown in the rule of law which is devastating. Big Tech and the Mainstream media also ban or block references to any riots and looting. Oh! They also never show the size of the crowds that show up to President Trump rallies. You only get to see those if you know about a YouTube channel RSBC.

A breakdown in the rule of law is devastating. Our world is filled with nations where government simply does not enforce law and order, and as a result, criminality, corruption, bribery, thuggery and lawlessness are rife, as are the squalor and low standards of living that always accompany them. As America abandons the laws on which it was established, this is its future.

Joe Biden doesn’t seem overly bothered that the fabric of society is being torn apart. Meanwhile, the hatred of the left goes uncensored. Kathy Griffen puts up a photograph of a severed head of President Trump and an Antifa mob act-out eating a raw heart that purports to be that of President Trump.

They are celebrated. Anyone questioning the election results are smartly blocked from all social media. While Joe Biden is saying “We are not enemies, we are Americans,” his Democratic comrades are making lists of Trump supporters so that they can be ‘adequately punished.’

No Trump “sycophant” will go unpunished. Given the demonic venom of the Left it is difficult not to see this as a their intention; that is, to establish hitlists and Gulags. The anti-law ideology that permeates America today actually arouses hostility toward the Constitution— the foundational document of the nation. Big-Tech’s censorship is indicative of a complete disregard and a scorn for the Founding Fathers.

Moral depravity is a leftist trade mark. Trump didn’t divide this country in 2016, he simply won. It was the political bigotry, narcissism & sexism of liberal women that divided this country. President George Washington said in his first inaugural address, “The foundations of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality” (emphasis added throughout). In his famous farewell address, he said, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.”

The reason rejecting America’s constitutional rule of law is so monumental is that it is a form of rejecting God. You have only to see the burning of Bibles, the chanting of “F–k your Jesus” to realize that there is a satanic spirit in the land. A spirit of lawlessness is coursing through America.

This hatred against America’s existing rule of law is not just an emotional reaction among anarchist rioters. It is also a strong ideology that has convicted the minds of reporters, entertainers, educators, schoolchildren, workers and even top members of the government itself.

The danger of Americans rejecting the Constitution is not simply that they disagree with its specific clauses. The danger is that they reject the concept of a supreme law of the land, a higher authority that everyone agrees to abide by and to change only according to that authority. Simply put: They reject the rule of law. “History reveals that empires are destroyed if they fail to establish the rule of law.”

Whereas the founders established the nation on biblical morality, this growing movement is amoral and areligious. It is anti-history, anti-tradition, anti-authority and anti-law.

John Adams once noted “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. For the first time since the Civil War, America’s existence as a functioning republic is on the line.

I suppose one can look at the bright side, we can recount the beautiful story to our children and grandchildren of the short time in American History when a U.S. President actually inspired hope, brought about success to the common man, kept his promises, protected our lives and served the nation’s and people’s interests instead of his own and that of the special interest groups.

Oh what an optimistic time it was.

"It takes courage to see evil, as Sharansky said. And courage is what we must pray for. We cannot be afraid of two presidents with two narratives and two armed camps; for if we do not confront evil, it will destroy us. In that event there will be no president and no country."

Two Presidents, Two Narratives
By J. R. Nyquist
Nov. 11, 2020

Mr. Lincoln arrived in Washington and took up the reins of control. It soon became very evident that, so far as the Republican party is concerned, secession if properly managed is rather a benefit than a misfortune.
—HENRY ADAMS

In his famous essay, “The Great Secession Winter of 1860-61,” Henry Adams wrote, “It appears very generally among our people that our theory of Government is a failure.” This failure manifested itself on February 18, 1861 when Jefferson Davis was sworn in as Provisional President of the Confederate States of America on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol. Two weeks later Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated 16th President of the United States at the East Portico of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. At that moment, America had two presidents instead of one. Two narratives instead of one. Two opposing armies instead of one united army.

It was an error, of course, for Adams to think the division of the country was “rather a benefit than a misfortune.” He did not envision battlefields strewn with corpses. He did not say how countless disputes would be resolved between North and South. Adams was then too inexperienced to see that no benefit could derive from two presidents leading two countries with two armies.

The political polarization of America, prior to 1861, was a gradual process. It took so long, and advanced with such subtlety, that Abraham Lincoln scoffed at the likelihood of Southern secession during the Republican Party’s 1860 convention in Chicago. The South was bluffling, he said. Secession would never happen because the South would lose federal offices and preferments. Of course, Lincoln was wrong. Most Southern politicians didn’t care about federal offices and preferments. They had other priorities. It can be said, therefore, that a long process of polarization led to a breakup of the country and to a bloody civil war.

The polarization of America, prior to 2020, has also been gradual — masked by the country’s prosperity and apparent stability. The country is now divided into two camps, governed by diametrically opposing principles. The differences are now so striking, so profound, that it is inconceivable they will long tolerate one another. The violence of last summer is but a foretaste of what we should expect.

Despite what the media says, Joseph Biden has not legally won the presidency. The election is in dispute because of election “irregularities.” And now, with tens of millions of mail-in ballots, a basic principle of free and fair elections has been violated; namely, the requirement that people show up in person to vote. An election with mail-in ballots, mailed by God-knows-who, was a standing invitation to fraud. And massive fraud is exactly what happened.

Voting is about government accountability. Election fraud, at its core, negates this accountability. Much of our media, and Biden’s partisans, do not want to be accountable. From their lips, talk of investigating election “irregularities” produces scoffing on the one hand, and threats on the other. By various hints we are given to understand that any proper counting of votes may lead to widespread violence. The left, after all, has prepared this threat in advance (for exactly this eventuality).

Since last summer’s looting and vandalism, the left has relied on violence and intimidation. Theirs is the politics of extortion. The left, in essence, is asking the country to forfeit election transparency to avoid violence. If America gives in, the Party of Extortion will extend its dominion over the entire country. Unchecked by police power, outrage will follow outrage. The Party of Extortion, having conquered the police, will begin to exercise police powers of its own. It will then be a question of accepting slavery or fighting a civil war.

How realistic is this scenario? An American friend in South America, who witnessed the collapse of Venezuela and the civil war in Colombia, texted me on election night. Seeing that Arizona had flipped to Biden, he sensed that the fix was in, that the election would be stolen. Having lost faith in the fairness of the process, with decades of Latin American experience behind him, he suggested that civil war would be our only way out. I was shocked. But look at the situation from his vantage point: America could either choose the fate of Venezuela or the fate of Colombia. In the first instance, Venezuelans acquiesced in several fraudulent elections and lost their freedom to a socialist dictatorship. In the second instance, Colombia saved itself by resisting the left in a long civil war.

This dire analysis would strike most Americans as unduly pessimistic. Election fraud, after all, is a Latin American problem and not an American problem. Yet America’s elections do not follow the guidelines of our own Election Assitance Commission (EAC). Of the ten EAC requirments for a free and fair election, the United States falls short on four counts: (1) Votes were cast without proper registration; (2) tens of millions did not vote in person; (3) every ballot cast was not counted; (4) and in the cases of Detriot and Philadelphia, President Trump was not allowed to have an agent inside the polling stations.

Even if most Americans avert their gaze and pretend nothing has happened, the problem is not going away. Polarization follows a logic of its own. In 1860-61 a majority of Americans did not think the election of 1860 would lead to Southern secession followed by civil war. “Let the Southern states secede if they want,” people said. “They will eventually come back into the Union.” This is the kind of wishful thinking that often prevails at the outset of a crisis. But soon enough wishful thinking gives way to reality. In 1861 the Confederate attack on Fort Sumter caused a psychological shift in the North. Suddenly Southerners were viewed as “rebels” and “traitors” who made war on their own country.

In the present crisis, a similar shift in national psychology cannot be ruled out. Everything depends on how things unfold from this point forward. President Trump’s lawyers will prove that massive election fraud has occurred. If the left and the Democratic Party refuses to accept the verdict of the courts, we will have two presidents, two narratives, and two armed camps.

It may be premature to write, at present, of “The Great Secession Winter of 2020-2021,” but we are going to have to confront the erosion of the rule of law in America. This is not something we can hide from. A confrontation will come, either now or later. Meanwhile, in Beijing, the Chinese communists believe they have won two victories against America. First, by disrupting our society with a virus; and second, there is the “Biden coup.”

The political process in America has become, over the years, a process of foreign subversion under the false flag of special interest politics. We have turned a blind eye to this process because we value peace and quiet. Russian dissident Natan Sharansky once said, “In dictatorships you need courage to fight evil; in the free world you need courage to see evil.” If we are not willing to see, if we bury our heads in the sand, America won’t continue as a great power. The truth is, we have been subverted, our institutions have been penetrated and compromised. Absent clearsightedness about this, we are doomed to defeat. The system of the Founding Fathers cannot make up for a lapse in courage on our part.

In 1861 Henry Adams thought America’s “experiment” with republican government would fail because the Founding Fathers were themselves doubtful of its prospects. They knew there would be trouble, especially over the issue of slavery. Henry Adams wrote: “By an unfortunate necessity which has grown with its growth, the country contained in itself, at its foundation, the seeds of its future troubles.” America got through those troubles, with a high cost in blood and treasure. And now we are facing worse troubles.

The new religion of socialism, which has ravaged many countries around the world, now overtakes us at home. It has grown like a cancer, inside the state, inside the culture. If the cancer of socialism continues unchecked, it will destroy the country. With Joe Biden in the White House, the socialists will close in for the kill. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others are already talking about making lists of Trump supporters for the sake of future reprisals.

It takes courage to see evil, as Sharansky said. And courage is what we must pray for. We cannot be afraid of two presidents with two narratives and two armed camps; for if we do not confront evil, it will destroy us. In that event there will be no president and no country.
