Across the United States of America, citizens are disappointed in their government.

While the nation grapples with historical debt, a recession, energy dependence, inflation , terrorism, and wars we cannot afford, our politicians are asleep at the wheel.

The system is broken. Our government has been corrupted by money. We need Congress to solve the nation’s problems, instead our politicians are out raising money for re-election. The country is run by lobbyists - fighting on behalf of big oil, pharmaceuticals, military contractors, labor unions, trial lawyers, insurance companies, food corporations, and on and on. We may never get rid of lobbyists and big financial donors. But we all agree: citizens should come first.

Our government is corrupt. We need to fix it. We have a plan. We need your help.

Jack Abramoff

Former Lobbyist

Jack Abramoff is a former Washington super-lobbyist who became a master of exploiting the lobbying system, and later served three years for breaking lobbying laws. Mr. Abramoff authored the book Capitol Punishment: The Hard Truth About Corruption From America's Most Notorious Lobbyist. Mr. Abramoff continues to make media appearances to educate citizens on the corrupt practices in government.

I love it asking Congress to end corruption. Please they are the problem. Congress now
benefits more than any other group when it comes to the lobby efforts.
Secondly it is not corruption as we know it either, any group going before any level of
government is a lobby that could include business, labour and even the Boy Scouts for
that matter. This does not make it corrupt however, it becomes corrupt when money is
given in exchange for an actual vote. Lobbies have been around since time began and
they will be long after we are all gone.
I have been part of an Agricultural Lobby in BC for a long time. Nothing corrupt about it
at all.
The main problem with our country and the USA is voter ignorance they don't understand
how the system works and they want simple solutions for everything. If we just, is the
first words out of people mouths. If we just do this or that with an instant solution and you
have more problems than you started out with.
