See I kind of view Mary as having pulled the greatest scam of all time. She was caught messing around and came up with a doozy of an explanation...and we've all suffered from it since. virgin pregnancy! Psffft!
I wrestled with it too, but assuming these people are conscious is giving them too much credit.

My mother worked three jobs while raising two kids. Neither of us have had any problems with the law. So f*ck you.
yup my grandmother was widowed at 28 when he didn't come back from the war, she raised three little girls with no pension, no death benefits etc.

My old man was like that and i lived in his house, lol.... It was tough not being able to connect with the male who is supposed to teach you to be a man. Telling me i was stupid every time i did something wrong,destorying any confidence i had in myself as a young child, and other **** etc etc...
Well oh well his loss now.
Now he sits at home wondering what happened because he still doesn't know what happened!!! I get a special perverted sense of satisfaction tormenting with his emotions now. He has to lie to his friends about our relationship, our 1 on 1 conversations last 3 minutes if he is lucky. And now i point out the stupid things he does and ask him if he is stupid.
I guess you can say having both parents in the house helped me develop into a vengeful prick. But if i hadn't told you and you met me in public you would never have guessed.

By the time my father cleaned himself up I was 19. When I was 21 we sort of patched things up as much as they could be. I remember he said "I wish I could have been there and have taught you right from wrong, how to be a man." I said "You did. I learned what not to do by watching you do everything wrong."
Lol. I wouldn't take him seriously. He has a very simplistic world view and, despite there at times being some grains of truth in it, he never gets to that because he stays on a purely superficial level.
It is true that criminals are disproportionately from single parent homes. But it is also true that while single parenthood has increased in the last 30 years or so, crime has decreased. If you are willing to manipulate statistics to support the lie that single parents cause crime using one set of stats, then the same level of faulty reasoning could support the lie that the increase in single parents has decreased crime using another set of stats.

Yea man that's what i told my dad, except there won't be any reconciliation no matter how bad he wants it. I told him I've spent whole childhood hiding from him to the point i learned to function without him. Having him in my life now would only be a hindrance. Kinda sad and pathetic on my part but emotions can run strong sometimes.
