I could have some good conversations with you if you could try a bit harder, not to name call, that is
a big weakness in your posts, so we probably won't chat again for some time.

Any person who disagrees all the time by being abusive and using vulgarities has got a screw loose and needs to see a shrink.

I'm not a fu cking idiot, and I'm also not making a fool of myself, I made some good sensible points,
and your point about problems the mink are causing,is valid, but humans have the capacity to think,
the mink only has his instincts, that is why we have to think for them, protect them, control them,
make sure they continue on living on this planet with us, as the higher thinker than all animals,
we have that responsibility, but unfortunately along with that brain power, many also are mean,
and greedy and thoughtless, and that is a shame.

no one can tell us we are here on this earth to 'use' the animals, we figure out ourselves what our responsibilities are concerning 'all' of us on this earth, and that includes the animals, and we should
do our best hopefully, to do it right, but unfortunately that isn't the case for many.

Nature doesn't give a flying f-ck at a rolling doughnut whether you live or die.

We have no obligations.

the animal kingdom doesn't have 'safeway' to shop at each day, and if the human race had to eat each
day by figuring out how to 'get' food to stay alive, you bet they wouldn't give a crap about anything
else alive either, we are the thinkers, so we should think, not whine and make excuses about how
thoughtless animals are, they don't and can't think like us, they don't have the brain, but they
do have a huge instinct to stay alive, and find the only way they can to do that, that is their
talent to living.

And yet I've seen animals that are smarter than a whole lot of people. My dog for one. (She has enough brains not to get on people's nerves) :)

If you want someone to love you unconditionally, have a bath, brush your teeth, sell the pick-up and find yourself a good mate.

yeah, but animals are still good company. AND a dog will never complain about wanting to go for a longer walk, or hike.

Where does Safeway get it's meat to sell you?

Y'know, when you think about it, "Cecil" is kind of a pansy name for a lion. Puts a body in mind of an impotent Britisher.

Probably just as well he's dead.
Shoudda called him Clint.

Now, now. Don't bring up the origins of their Mock Moose loaf or the Pate de Quoi for sale in the Deli dep't.

I haven't complained about any super market selling meat to the public, that
is part of our lives, I accept that, so where safeway gets their meat doesn't
have anything to do with this thread.

I don't recall any post complaining about 'how' we acquire our meat for consumption.

All meat comes from animals with feelings.

First off, the reply that you quoted was directed specifically to JLM, not to you. My reply to you was in regard solely to your pointed enquiry about my statement that animals are here for us to use. No where in that reply did I demean you or swear. I stated my position. No where did I state that you were a "fu cking idiot" or that you were "making a fool" of yourself.

As for the rest of your post, I brought up the mink and fox to illustrate to JLM that animals DO waste, something he said they don't do. That animals will kill for "fun", which he has implied they won't do. None of that was directed to you as you had not made any statements regarding that.

I posted an article showing what the implications were by "banning" trophy hunting in Africa. The trophy hunts pay for the majority of the costs of conservation in those African countries. Without the hunts, they can't afford to pay for conservationists to help stop the poaching problem. Poaching, which is a major problem right now, will become completely out of control as there will be nothing in place to stop or control it.

As much as people may not like the idea of trophy hunting, at this time it does serve a purpose and over all is good for the local economies and helps tremendously with local conservation efforts.
