I try not to project that "if you haven't been there then" attitude, but when people dismiss those that have with prejudice, it is frustrating.

I like facts, I am prone to editorialise and I know it. But my editorials are based on facts. I have read quite a bit about the ME and have been there. I have seen the mess. It is more then just scary, it is a hooror show of epic preportions.

My aggression stems from my having seen enough death and mutilation that I am almost will to anniolate entire regions to end it.

That is like where some of you get a sence of fascism in my posts or rhetoric.

I'm no one special, I'm just some one tired of it all. I can not begin to explain the suffering and deprivation I have seen. You would likely not believe me if I told you anyways. It is that horrorific.

But I call men brother that serve in the IDF, US Army/Navy/Marines, the British Army and Navy. Most of whom I have kept in touch with over the years. So I tend to defend with my own bias. Golan Hieghts was an eye opener.

So you may have to bear with me if I seem a tad aggressive in my defences of places I have been and the people I call brothers.

gopher I already addressed this in another thread. Why don't you try telling us what the Israeli's did once they realized it was an American ship. Or would that not support your cause?

Besides, I just tried handing you an olive branch in another thread as well. Take it or leave it, but don't keep coming at me with sarcastic attitude, it only serves to get my fur up. And you have said several times you don't like it when I retaliate when you've ticked me off. If you want to post counter points, please keep going, but leave out the smug attitude if you'ld like me to do the same.

The fact is that America although unwilling to accept the lions share of responsibility for creating the problem of Israeli-Palestinian difficulties....for trading with Iran when America regarded Iran as its enemy...for supplying technology to Iraq when America was cozied-up-to by Saddam Hussein that the entire history of the United States from immediately after the Spanish American war is little more than interventionism taken to a ridiculous extreme in the name of well take your pick...Manifest Destiny or the Monroe Doctrine...

Why should America accept the lion's share of responsibility of the Arab-Israeli conflict? Because you say so? Or is it because it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy leaving everybody else out of it?

Who ruled Palestine prior to the 1947 partition? The Brits.

Who partitioned Palestine? The UN (Ya, Canada inclusive, or were you our bitch back then also?)

Who supplied arms to Israel when the five, count them, five Arab armies invaded Israel? Checkoslovakia, AKA The Soviet union.

Who played chess between Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Israel during the 6 day war? The Soviet Union

Who built and gave nuclear capabilities to Israel? The Socialist cesspool also known as France. Don't believe me? Ask Guy Mollet.

Who other than the United States has the resources and the clout internationally to do something other than support the warmongers in Jersusalem?

Who has involved the world in the entire Iraq/Afghanistan/Sudan/Lybian/Syrian/the list goes on and on...in the name of "peace" only to demonstrate their committment to "peace" by invading on the basis a lie?

With great wealth and power comes great responsibility and America fails on a continual basis to behave like a member nation among the community of nations.

You could spend billions?? to lose a war in Vietnam...and didn't learn a damn thing...

You could send a man to the moon but can America come up with any other way to encourage peace among nations than exercising its military frothing at the mouth?

I don't think you're particularly open to admitting the responsibilities that have been failed by the United States to both its own people and the nations of this planet.
