That would mean we do the same to them.

But that would be unfriendly wouldn't it?

I don't know about you but for me a requirement of friendship is trust.

If I invite a friend over for dinner and they bring a guest should I run a criminal check or trust that my friend brought someone I don't need to be concerned about?

It's their border, they do what they feel they need to do. If they don't trust us, they don't trust us. Personally, I think it has been very obvious for a very long time that they really don't trust us and are just looking for an excuse.

So we aren't friends that can be trusted?

It's nice to know your own sloppiness is something you'd trash a trusting friendship over gerryh.

If I didn't know any better I'd think he's pretty hopeful that some of these refugees use Canada as a rest area.

Answering "One" was being too lazy or ashamed?

Or are you just being stupid.

.

well, "one" didn't fully answer the question.

So we aren't friends that can be trusted?

You would have to ask them. They are the ones that don't seem to trust us. You have republican presidential hopefuls talking about building a wall between Canada and the u.s. and you have American "security experts" claiming that their biggest terrorist threat comes from Canada. It's not Canada saying those things about the americans. It's not Canada that requires americans carry visas when flying over their airspace. All those things are American. So, you tell me. Who is the one not trusting who.

Chinese and Indians will immigrate to the one that will take them in order to get across that visaless border and be where they want.

Why not Syrians?

Of course. You think all 50,000 Syrians are going to want to stay in Canada. Hell no.

If Canadian stupidity puts their trust in doubt does it correct the stupidity if they take protective measures against Canadian stupidity?

Canadian Stupidity? Helping out families displaced by a war that the west is actively involved in is stupidity? Well, if that's the case, then colour me stupid and obviously the americans were never our "friends" in the first place.

Oh ffs do I need to get a tally from 2005 on? I have to go to the net and do a research project for you?

I have no intention of living my life scared of the "terrorist boogieman". I grew up worrying about the "communist boogieman" and whether or not one of the 2 idiots on either side of the pond was going to push the button and end the world tomorrow.

You want to buy into the new boogieman, you go for it. I'm not going to. Damn near did, but came to my senses. If the americans wanna lose their shyte over Canada helping out. If the americans wanna lose their shyte because Canada is being a humanitarian. Then let them.

Crime families...

"Canada is a nation built by immigrants..."

Ones that didn't get to naturalize until after the work was done.

What about staying? For example... what if the unthinkable happened... and possibly one Syrian refugee decides he doesn't like hockey and comes to the US... to stay.

Now we all know that is fv cking impossible because fv cking Canada is the fv cking best fv cking country fv cking EVER and no fv cking refugee would fv cking ever want to fv cking leave! lol

Fv cking right Gerry... fv cking fv ck yeah!

Your style is just so Gerryhesque.

Crime families...

"Canada is a nation built by immigrants..."

Ones that didn't get to naturalize until after the work was done.

What work? Grabbing land? Ripping kids from their families and throwing them in residential schools? Transferring Inuit North of home? Passing the Chinese Exclusion Act? Putting Japanese Canadians in camps? Taking away the right of German and Ukrainian Canadians to educate their kids in their languages after they'd already established the schools? Excluding everyone else from the B&B Commission?

And to think they never contributed to the hard work of nation building. For shame!

The communist boogieman never blew up buildings in your major cities, shot up people in your locals cities, or attacked the Parliament Buildings "In the name of Communism."

Not saying you should be scared, but you should support do diligence in keeping the fox out of the hen house.

It's none of their fu cking business, and they have been using that "threat from Canadian border" since 9/11. Remember that? When they accused Canada of allowing the 9/11 terrorists into the u.s. from Canada. When in reality, not a single fu cking 9/11 terrorist came through Canada.

It's them fu cking up, past time they finally admitted it and stopped trying to blame others.
Don't pay it no mind, gerryh. Consider the sources.

First, there's the "report." Note what it says in the article: "A new report from the Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee. . ." That's a favorite trick down hereabouts. This is not a report from the Senate. It's not a report from the Senate Homeland Security Committee. It's a report from "the Chairman." In other words, its the bigoted yapping of one right-wing senator. He had his staff gin up this "report," and he's trying to pass it off as work of the Senate.

Second, Boomster's downloading this from "CIJ News." I checked, and it's a slobbering, terrified anti-Muslim website. Perfect forum for a shrieking anti-Muzzie "report" from a U.S. bigot.

So all the slobbering, terrified anti-Muzzie bigots in Canada will take it as Gospel. But it's just a big political "position paper," playing to the slobbering, terrified anti-Muzzie bigots that vote for Sen. Johnson.
