Chinese Spy Balloon Launched from Hainan Island: Media

China in Focus
Tiffany Meier

The Chinese spy balloon was tracked from the source, according to U.S. officials. They say they’ve traced the craft from its start in Hainan, China, all the way to Alaska, through Canada, and then the continental United States. The question now is, why didn’t the United States take action sooner? And what’s so significant about where the balloon was launched? What can that location tell us about the motives behind it? And are the two superpowers gearing up for a potential hot war?

Chinese Satellite Fired Green Lasers Over Hawaii

Video

Facts Matter
Roman Balmakov

In late January, Japanese astronomers stationed in Hawaii noticed mysterious green laser beams that were being fired over the island. The laser beams are being shot down from space overtop one of the largest mountain ranges in Hawaii.
Initially, when they first reported these beams to the public, these astronomers said that they came from a NASA satellite—they were thought to be American lasers. But just a week after their initial statement, the Japanese astronomers issued a correction saying that these green laser beams were not from a US satellite, but instead, they more likely came from a Chinese satellite.

FBI Official Warns of Threat from Chinese Hackers

Video

China in Focus
Tiffany Meier

The FBI is warning of growing cyber threats from China, ahead of the next election. And the hackers aren’t picky, either. The computer networks of both Republicans and Democrats are getting breached. Personal data on millions of Americans has ended up in the hands of the Chinese regime over the years, all thanks to cyber attacks. And millions of dollars are all funneled away. But China’s not the only player. The FBI is also warning to keep an eye out for Russia and Iran.

EXCLUSIVE: Is the US Military Ready for War With China?

China in focus

In this next part of our exclusive special series with Michael Sekora, founder and director of the Socrates Project within the Reagan White House, we zoom in on whether the United States has a military competitive advantage over China. Following the recent shoot-downs of a Chinese spy balloon and three mystery objects, talks of a hot war and how each side is shaping up are dominating headlines. Sekora noted: "That's one of the things—when it comes to China, it's very, very complex. And that's one of the things that people don't understand. We're used to measuring it in simple terms. And actually, that's one of the things that's gotten the United States into problems with China." "We have continued to redefine competitive advantage such that we could continue to view China as a non-threat," he added. And as for the second problem, Sekora noted, "The U.S. intelligence community continue to misjudge, misestimate, China's progression." He added, "If we can develop a technology strategy which is going to outmaneuver China ... what happens is we can develop our military strategy on top of a technology strategy, which gives us a very precise and accurate knowledge." "That's how we beat China," he added.

Our single best military strategy for China is to quit farming out manufacturing to them. Or any other third world dictatorship.

Chinese Judge: “If We Follow the Law, We Will Lose Our Jobs”

Feb. 19, 2023 | By Aren

(Minghui.org) As a Falun Gong practitioner in China, I often tell people what the practice is and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been suppressing it without any legal basis. Many people I talked to felt the same way and they shared with me their stories of the ruthless regime.

“The CCP Has Never Treated People as Human Beings”

One time I came across a retired railroad worker in his 80s. Despite his advanced age, his mind was sharp and both his vision and hearing were great. We chatted about how the CCP has persecuted innocent people in numerous political campaigns, from the Land Reform Movement (1949–1953, targeting landlords) to the Tiananmen Square Massacre (1989, suppressing democracy). He was sympathetic towards Falun Gong practitioners who have been persecuted for their faith since July 1999.
“The CCP has never treated people as human beings,” he said. “It wants us to please the regime and does not allow us to show any dissatisfaction.” He was glad to renounce membership in the CCP organizations.

“The CCP Owes Me Two Lives”

Bin is a retired employee in his 70s from a public institution and he quit the CCP organizations without hesitation. He said, “The CCP owes me two lives.”
The first life was Bin’s father, who was a Deputy Party Security of a township before the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). After finding out his family used to be land owners, the authorities launched endless attacks on him, including physical abuse and humiliation. He took his own life at age 37. Bin’s mother and five siblings were then forced to move to the countryside, where they were discriminated at and starved. The children were also banned from school.
Another life was Bin's second baby. The fetus was already full term, but under the CCP’s one-child policy, Bin’s wife was forced to have a 37th week abortion. Bin hoped that one day the CCP would be held accountable for its sins.

“The CCP Just Wants You to Shut up”

Dong used to be a successful businessman and a lay Buddhist. He knew that just having money was not enough in China, so he bribed his way into becoming a director at a government agency. During his tenure, he did do things beneficial for the local residents. Since he had money, power, and kindness, he did not yield to bureaucratic officials and no one could earn gray income from the government projects he managed. But this triggered resentment from other officials. They colluded with each other and framed him. In the end, Dong had to resign and went back to being a businessman.
He said, “There are all kinds of problems right now, but the CCP just wants you to shut up. It does not care about anything but itself.”

“If We Follow the Law, We Will Lose Our Jobs”

Song is a law school student and his father is an office director of a city intermediate court. He once interned in the court. After he was done, he told me, “Few judges these days are following the facts or laws.”
There was an intentional injury case with solid facts and evidences against the defendant. The first instance court, however, ruled in favor of the defendant, and the court that Song was interning at was reviewing the case. Some judges gave different recommendations, but none of these suggestions followed the law.
Song chimed in, “Based on these facts, I think the judgment should be corrected in this way.” Everyone else went quiet. After a while, a judge in his 50s came to him patting him on his shoulder and said, “If we follow the law, we will lose our jobs.”
This story from Song explained why there are so many unjust and wrongful cases in China. Judges and the justice system have bent the rules for their own benefits. It is especially the case regarding the persecution of Falun Gong, where prosecutors and judges intentionally indict and sentence Falun Gong practitioners to protect their own political careers.

“These Officials Need to Learn from Falun Gong”

One day, I ran into a retired business executive. He was worried about the chaos in Chinese society and agreed to to quit the CCP organizations. He said nearly all CCP officials are corrupt and they are ruining the country.
I explained that Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and gave him some examples of how myself and other practitioners became more considerate of others and never took things that did not belong to us.
“This is great,” the man said. “These officials need to learn from Falun Gong to be good people.”

China is losing money to the tune of billions. For the first time in two years, more money left China than entered as imports grow and exports fall, and Chinese shipping containers dawdle around empty Chinese ports. What’s driving this trend? Is it all due to China’s draconian zero-COVID policy? Or are other factors at play?

Chinese Dissident Warns of a 2nd Pearl Harbor Attack If US Ignores CCP Threat | The Larry Elder Show | EP. 131

The Larry Elder Show
TheLarryElderShow.TV

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has infiltrated the United States to an alarming degree, not just to steal economic and military secrets, but also to censor academia and bribe politicians, according to Chen Guangcheng, the blind human rights lawyer who escaped communist China and spoke at the 2020 GOP convention.
Joining Larry Elder, Mr. Chen calls on the Biden administration to take CCP’s threat more seriously and help the Chinese people regain control of China.
A Harvard-Harris poll shows that the public has no idea how bad the illegal immigration crisis is. When asked how many illegal crossers are entering the U.S., they dramatically underestimate the number.

EXCLUSIVE: Is a Hot War With China Inevitable?

China in Focus - NTD

In this next part of our exclusive special series with Michael Sekora, founder and director of the Socrates Project within the Reagan White House, we tackle the question: is a hot war with China inevitable? And if so, is the United States ready for it? Sekora noted: "The reality is, if you look at the U.S., we are not prepared to go for a hot war. If you look at, in terms of the Navy, there's a significant number of ships which are not battlefield ready. Okay, if we look at the Air Force, the Air Force is cannibalizing some of the older platforms to keep the new platforms up in the air and battle ready. If we look at the Marine Corps, which we've worked with, they say that they basically have to wait to see what China is going to do and hope like hell they can figure out how to fix it before it goes hot with them." As for what China is doing, he noted: "They will continue to build their competitive advantage. And number two, they will know when they have the required competitive advantage. So even though some of these actions—like the CHIPS Act, like some of the other things, like increasing the [Department of Defense] budget such that we can execute the national defense strategy—China's still chipping away, maneuvering in the technology space and they're not going to engage until they have the required competitive advantage. So point being, is it inevitable? Yeah. Everything we're going to do right now is being done, it just delays that, and it will delay it until China knows they have the required competitive edge. "

China Converting Hundreds of Retired Fighter Jets Into Suicide Drones

China is planning to convert hundreds of retired fighter jets into suicide drones, as they look to gear up for an attack on Taiwan. This is as Blinken says that the Chinese regime could be providing "lethal support" to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
