my people = the 76% believers in the bible.

Are you really as stupid as you come across on these forums West? I'm asking because you've been told at least half a dozen times that 76% of the people DO NOT believe in the Bible. Your stat you keep flapping about only indicates those who claim membership in one of the denominations. It indicates NOTHING about their beliefs systems as individuals. I can assure you that at least half the people who claim to be this or that religion do NOT follow the beliefs or doctrines of their religious group. Again, I will point out to you that if 76% of this country were strong "believers in the bible(whatever the hell that is supposed to mean)", we would be a Christian country and all the anti-Christian issues would not even be raised.

I don`t physically own them, but I feel I can speak on behalf of 76% of the population, because our values are very much the same.

I have a very good idea for you, my friend. Now, it is going to shock your system, so do all these steps slowly.,.

1.TURN OFF THE TV(Go ahead, you can do it..I know it is painful, but be a big boy)

2. GET OFF YOUR CHAIR(This means your ass must leave the security of the seat)

3. PUT DOWN THE REMOTE(It really is NOT attached to your hand!)

4. OPEN YOUR FRONT DOOR(That is that big thing with the handle on it leading to OUTSIDE)

5. LEAVE THE HOUSE!!!(IT can be done, even though there are no television sets outside-there are other things to see!)

6.GO FIND YOURSELF A GIRLFRIEND(Now, this will be a real person and not one of your "Hollywood icons"(as you refer to them). This girlfriend will be flesh and bones, but don't be afraid, real people will not necessarily hurt you.

7.IF FINDING A GIRLFRIEND IS TOO BIG A STEP FOR YOU RIGHT NOW, WALK TO THIS PLACE CALLED "LIBRARY". (Now, inside this strange building are these very strange things called "Books"(kind of like tv without pictures:) ). Pick one of these Books up and read..It will hurt at first to engage your mind, but with a little practice you'll be fine.

PVR's are a great thing you like to avoid watching commericials. Any show I watch, I let it record for 15 minutes or so before I begin watching, that wasy I can press fast forward through the advertising bs.
Westman, do you subscribe to the religious channels on expressvu?

The "creative barrel" when it comes to TV and movies was emptied long long ago...
In efforts to keep the morons paying to be advertised to....you put on porn and hockey and bloody fights and swamp the airwaves with violence and gratuitous violence....
You feed the cravings and appetites of the "consumer"...

PVR's are the only way. Watching a show then having to sit there for 5 min and wait just when the flow was getting going is almost unbearable. Technology spoils us.

Spoiling is one thing....with trade agreements flourishing between those evil Chinese ....Japanese...(everyone other than Canada and America..) has once again resulted in the new conditioning of the western wealthy to purchase MP3 players...cell-phones and all kinds of "disposable" electronics....with the result that batteries are leaching heavy metals into the soil at a greatly increased rate.... Do we hold the suppliers and their advertising minions to account???
No we hold the conditioned consumer to account....make the cost of batteries in landfills the issue for the no-brains susceptible to conditioning the bad guy while multi-nationals accelerate the destruction of our planet....

Durka, that is why I love and cuddle my PVR from ExpressVu always.

If I do not record a show for later, I delay all my shows my 15 minutes. - One-fourth of tv is commercials.

So no doubt you'll just eat those batteries when they need replacing right?
Or will you share your remotes' batteries with the world....to eat...?

Dead baterries, like those small AAA or AA batteries... I just throw them in the garbage bag, and every Monday is garbage day, and they take it far away...

The programming certainly isn't what it used to be. I used to be able to watch nature documentaries all the time, the Discovery Channel had them alot, and I remember PBS had quite a few too. The recent British documentary series Nature was excellent, but is more like special programming now.

The norm is a bounty hunter preaching to drug addicts, starving idiots scheming on islands, vacuous bimbos and bozos exhibiting their mastery of song and dance or lack thereof, snooty people trashing someone for how they dress and all the e-news we can jam into one half-hour.

Plug-in and enjoy...:pukeright:
