Oh sure....then somebody says something about an IED (intermittently eaten doughnut) and the marines start shooting anything that moves and we got a bunch of dead Canadians and Tim Hortons cups with holes in them....;-)

The US troops in Afghanistan loved Tim Hortons. They would be arguing over a double double and the what type of dougnut to eat.

Ya know... I was kinda hoping that this thread was dedicated to a militia group of turkeys that were fighting back against the Thanksgiving practice of consuming their brethren.

I had the same thought actually. I was a bit confused for a few second. I've been thinking of turkey in a different context for the last week.

World war is closeer than you think.

I doubt it. There's no reason for it. Maybe another middle eastern war but not a world war.

It may be a middle eastern battlefield but it will involve players from around the globe making it a world war.

Royal Canadian Marine Corps

On 30 January 2007, the Vancouver Sun reported that Department of National Defence (DND) would establish a 250-member Marine Commando Regiment at its base in Comox, BC. According to the Vancouver Sun, the new regiment would concentrate on maritime operations, be able to react to sea borne terrorist incidents and rescue Canadians trapped in war-torn nations that are accessible by sea. The regiment was to be part of the military reorganization that was also to see the Joint Task Force 2 counter-terrorism unit moved to Trenton, Ontario, from Dwyer Hill, outside of Ottawa. While it was expected to start with about 250 personnel, the military planned to expand the regiment over the years.
