18 WTF Moments From Trump's Unhinged Press Conference

Donald Trump took questions from the media on Thursday afternoon. The hastily called press conference came as a surprise to reporters, who would typically have had a briefing with White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer during that time. (According to reports, Trump walked into the Oval Office earlier that morning and said, "Let's do a press conference today.")

The event was ostensibly meant to roll out his new labor secretary nominee, Alexander Acosta. (Previous pick Andy Puzder bowed out Wednesday after it became clear to Republican Senate leaders they did not have enough votes to confirm him.) But the event had little to do with Acosta, and quickly devolved into one of the most remarkably incoherent spectacles in recent memory.

Here are some of the most noteworthy moments.

That time he batted back reports of chaos in the West Wing
"I turn on TV, open the newspapers and I see stories of chaos – chaos – yet it is the exact opposite. This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine."

That time he confirmed the veracity of the leaks that lead to Michael Flynn's resignation
"The leaks are absolutely real. The news is fake because so much of the news is fake."

That time he couldn't say Flynn lied
"The thing is, he didn't tell our vice president properly, and then he said he didn't remember ... that just wasn't acceptable to me."

Uh............guys...........I watched the entire 90+ minute press conference - the media are merely reporting what Trump actually said - unbelievable and surrealistic as it was. I could only sit in awe.

This bit really struck my fancy.

""The leaks are real. The leaks are absolutely real. The news is fake because so much of the news is fake," Trump said."

Make of that what you will.
Watched a bit and yes it was painful. no decorum thats for sure :))

Trump sounds pretty 'with it' to me...perhaps it's the Media who should be popping the Abilify tablets.

If the Dumpster sounds "with it" to you then you really need to take a good look at how previous presidents acted. Even the incompetent and tongue-tied G.W. Bush is more coherent in news conferences than he is. The public meeting yesterday with Netanyahu was painful to watch. It was obvious that the Dumpster did not have a clue what he was talking about. All the Israeli PM could do was look on in confusion as the Dumpster blathered on about making deals and contradicting current Israeli policies.

Are you going to believe your ears or your lying eyes?

Donald Trump had a news conference today. New Media hardest hit.

The McGurk Effect.

The CBC National on 16 Feb is a perfect example of their cherry-picking and editorializing events and comments to fit the Liberal agenda.

Those who viewed Trump's news conference on u-tube could see it was mostly about listing the accomplishments of his administration so far, and lambasting the media for leaking confidential information and presenting biased one-sided reporting of events.

As the CBC reported, it was about how 'chaotic' Trump's government was, and that Donald Trump talked about blowing a Russian Spy ship out of the water.

Trump's actual comment was the media would love it if he blew the Russian Spy ship out of the water, but he wouldn't do that because he wanted a cooperative relationship with Russia to deal with common enemies like ISIS.

Not quite the same as CBC's version for public broadcast on their national News.

It was ironic that CBC perfectly illustrated Trump's focus on biased news media.

Yep, the human animal can be like that (me included) once in awhile. He'll have a better day today, I think! The media is enough to get anyone's dander up..............they don't know when to shut up at times.

I'll take the CBC for a thousand Locustus . Who else would you believe .
On the top dog yesterday afternoon the hosts were totally agast at the tone of the Trump press conference and the vulgarity .
I will believe them over my ears any day .
