Canadians are like the family with six children who can only afford one coat so they buy the coat for the kid down the street.

This sounds like the beginning of a parable.

"And then they gathered by the sea of Galilee and asked,
'Oh lord, should we ban refugees until we figure out what the hell is going on"
And Jesus said to them "Have you not heard of the Canadian family with six children?"
And they said "tell us lord!"

I'm pretty sure Jesus would have been against refugees and giving children coats.

I think now that Trump has pretty well got it down pat what he's doing, now he should concentrate more on how he's doing it. Some of the execution is BAD. My advice would be "don't go harming harmless people unnecessarily".

Khan has entirely too much to say. There has been much reported about him and his agendas that is suspect. Trump's critics just chose not to publish those reports.
He dishonored his hero son by politicizing his death to promote his own political agenda.
He dishonored his wife by standing beside her and referring over and over again to HIS son as if she were nothing but the baby machine that gave birth. He explained his wife's silence saying it was too painful for her to talk about. Too painful after 12 years? I don't think so. It wasn't too painful for him to talk about it. More likely she was silent to be a good little Muslim wife, subservient to her husband!
Khan should shut up.

What they call "Christian" down there is based on tyrrany against those with whom they do not agree.

"What does the Lord require of you?
To seek justice
and love kindness
and walk humbly with your God."

Micah 6:8

... none of which are done by the above group.

Sask.'s Brad Wall offers support for refugees in wake of Trump's executive order

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall says his province is willing to help people who may be stranded by Donald Trump's recent moves on immigration.

Using a social media platform familiar to the president, Wall said Saturday that Saskatchewan would provide assistance should the federal government in Ottawa need it.

"We stand ready to assist fed gov't re: anyone stranded by the US ban," Wall said on Twitter.

If this was about a stand alone policy on immigration that would be one thing.
In this case its not. It is such a glaring abuse of power the world is saying its
piece. We clearly have a racist policy here. It is also a betrayal of all those
who fought for America in their own country. People who are excluded for being
the wrong color or religion. First there are many who condemn demonstrations
and roadblocks as actions of civil disobedience, are against the law. Yet the
President they support has violated the first amendment, the Geneva Convention
and the edicts of humanity itself. Lets look at some facts here.

1 the current application for refugee status takes 18 months to two years.
2 There are people with green cards and those who met the requirements are band
3 Many who served American interests in war zones with a promise to to America,
are banned.
4 The country that produced the 9/11 terrorists in not affected cause Trump wants the oil
5 If you are a Muslim from those nations no entry if you are a Christian come on in God
Bless You. Some don't see anything wrong here. Remember Timmy McVeigh the terrorist
who blew up the Government building? He was Christian, see terrorists don't come with a
religious label they come with their own Terrorist no religion no creed just violators of the
law just like the President of the United States is now.

During the election theses people debunked the idea they were prejudice or bigots or extremists
or even accused by some as fascists. What is playing out here is they push the boarder of
reality ever closer to being the truth all along.

The good news is, this too shall pass and history will record it all as a sad chapter in American
history. A sad chapter like the civil rights marches of the sixties, the Chinese Exclusion Act, the
injustice perpetrated on the Japanese during WWII. and the list goes on.
How many of these sad chapters does a nation have to write before descent people say enough?
The saddest fact of all is, There are many good people that still have the wool pulled over their eyes
and don't yet see where this destructive behavior is leading. This could be the beginning of the end
of America's Greatness. When you have been the bully of the block for decades and decide to
isolate themselves the rest of the world may well gang up on you.
It will soon be government by demonstration and chaos and its going to get worse. This is going
beyond the sixties its looking more and more like the anarchy of Europe after WWI and we know
how that turned out don't we. The world now is an even more dangerous place Thanks to Donald

But it isn't just muslims you hate. It's Mexicans and other dark people. You're not a racist because you hate Muslims. You're a racist that happens to hate Muslims as well. You may as well embrace it. We all know it, even those afraid to say it publicly

Some of you don't understand what an executive order is. Executive orders are instructions to federal agencies telling them how to administratively proceed on matters that are already law or written about in the Constitution. They are not, as many people here wrongly assume, edicts from the president.

Executive orders have been around a long, long time.

Here is a quick tutorial.

"Basically, an executive order is an official statement from the president about how the federal agencies he oversees are to use their resources.

It falls under the broader umbrella of “executive actions,” which derive their power from Article II of the Constitution, and it is the most formal executive action. Executive actions also include presidential memorandums (which are a step below executive orders and basically outline the administration's position on a policy issue), proclamations and directives.

An executive order is not the president creating new law or appropriating new money from the U.S. Treasury — both things that are the domain of Congress; it is the president instructing the government how it is to work within the parameters that are already set by Congress and the Constitution."

(the underlining is mine - murphy)

Trump is CEO of north america. He's reached the top of the business world. It's probably really his only interest in any of world affairs, besides the networking he gets to do now.

He's shown it's not a muslim restriction. Just certain countries restrictions. Conveniently cause he's boss he gets to cherry pick the countries he doesn't want to ban and those he does.

Wonder what the Rothchilds think about this.

You're welcome.

So few bther to understand. There's a mob mentality around here, more dangerous than the alleged "illegal actions" that posters are accusing Trump of doing.

Even the title, "Trump refugee ban throws lives into uncertainty" is incorrect. Trump does not have the authority "to ban". He does have the authority to instruct agencies on how to proceed under the law as it is presently written however. Laws which only Congress can enact.

But I seriously doubt anyone will read this. It's more fun to act like children and rail against their version of reality. :)

More clauses are needed, but I think this is step #1 in a string of new rules regarding immigration/immigrants. There was obviously a rush to put this one through, and it shows with it's lack of clarity and insight.
