House of Commons In Shock As Ruth Ellen Brosseau Quits NDP To Pursue Soccer Career-Burrard Street Journal

Ruth Ellen Brosseau has shocked the New Democrat Party by announcing her decision to quit politics and pursue a career as a professional soccer player. The NDP MP made the announcement outside the House of Commons today, only days after being elbowed in the chest by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and hours after a video emerged of her “world class performance”.

“Given the recent circumstances I no longer feel safe to continue as a female politician in Canada,” she told the BSJ. “Instead I will pursue a career in an industry that involves no physical contact whatsoever, soccer.”

The 32-year-old caught the attention of the football world, after her exploits against the PM, which prompted Argentine legend Maradona, to tweet his “respect” for Brosseau’s display. He claims her instinctive skills of deception and quick thinking would stand her in good stead for a “long career in football”.

now Trudeau is the victim here? Really? How convoluted
is that? So many justifying his petulantly juvenile behavior
and few seem to remember the original act that started

All over the US Judges at the lower levels (local) are elected. I think the only qualifier is no criminal record and live in the county

It varies from state to state, but philosophically there's no requirement at all for being a judge, except being elected or appointed, as the case may be. To my positive knowledge, we have had Federal judges in the U.S. who weren't lawyers.

For example, here is the section of the Constitution on the Supreme Court. . .

"The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office."
U.S. Const., Art. III, sec. 1, cl. 1.

That's it. The complete list of qualifications. And the Supreme Court has held (in the case of senators and representatives) that the qualifications in the Constitution are exclusive; no other qualifications or limitations can be added except by amending the Constitution.

(This, of course, applies only to Federal Courts; state courts are organized as the state constitutions and legislatures decide.)

As far as I know that is the way it works.. The point being Judge Judy is the authority in the Courtroom and some Judges are the main talker in that room.

Why not have instant Justice, the Sheriff gets a call and he makes a determination then and there but have them be as educated as any Judge.

I guess it's all a matter of perspective.
I think Trudeau helping someone who is obviously being dicked arround makes him a good leader.
