It’s become abundantly clear that Justin Trudeau sees COVID-19 and vaccinations as nothing more than campaign fodder to beat his opponents with while scaring voters.

Trudeau was caught with his rhetoric not matching his actions again Friday.

He had to admit that not all Liberal candidates are vaccinated at an event that broke Ontario’s COVID restrictions.

Trudeau has been campaigning hard against the O’Toole Conservatives over the issue of vaccinations. While the Liberals have said all their candidates will be vaccinated, the Conservatives have simply said those who are not vaccinated are required to undergo daily screening and testing.

Over the past two weeks Trudeau has denounced O’Toole’s position as wrong, ignoring public health advice and even dangerous. Turns out, not all of his candidates are vaccinated either.

On Friday morning, National Post columnist John Ivison put the question directly to Trudeau.

“We know that you’ve told your candidates to get vaccinated. Do you know if they all have and if not, why not? Ivison asked.

“Every single Liberal candidate agrees fully with our approach on this. We have ensured that all our candidates have been vaccinated or are getting vaccinated. I believe there’s a couple who are about to get their second dose now,” Trudeau responded.

Let’s be clear, if any adult is waiting on their second dose at this point in time it’s because they only recently got their first dose. Pfizer has a 21-day window between doses and Moderna a 28-day window, meaning they only got their first shot before the campaign began at the party’s direction.

In addition, to be considered fully vaccinated, they need to get their second shot and then wait two weeks. According to the rhetoric from the Liberals, anyone campaigning before that would be putting the public at risk.

Trudeau’s admission that not all of his candidates were vaccinated came as he held an event in Mississauga, the heart of the vote rich 905 belt around Toronto, where he broke Ontario’s COVID-19 restrictions. There was no social distancing possible in the small restaurant where the Liberals held the event.

And whether the event was classified as a private gathering or a restaurant, it was in violation of the Reopening Ontario Act.

“We’re going to continue to do everything we can to keep people safe. We will always follow the public health guidance,” Trudeau said when asked about breaking the law.

It’s a joke.

This is a man who wants you to re-elect him and his party to a majority because they take COVID-19 seriously when they don’t at all — it’s a political tool for them. Even his claim of making vaccinations mandatory for federal workers was proven to be false, just like his rhetoric on candidate vaccinations.

Then there is what is happening with COVID across the country.

Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief medical officer issues a statement Friday on the state of the fourth wave. It was only a written statement because her news conferences have been cancelled by the Liberals during the election in case something is said that makes them look bad.

The seven-day average for daily case counts since the election was called is up 77%, the average number of people in hospital is up 75% and the average number in ICU across the country is up 61%. It was Justin Trudeau who called this election in the middle of a fourth wave while warning about the dangers of COVID-19.

If Trudeau were as concerned about COVID-19 as he claims, he wouldn’t have called the election, he’d be at his desk working on the issue instead of making false statements hoping to scare up votes.

What's pathetic was watching Singh prop up Groper's corrupt, inept minority govt then as soon as an election is called he's throwing Groper under the bus. Not that I give a shit about Groper but it sure does tell us what Singh is all about.
Singh is a Sikh extremist at heart. He also has a law degree but didn't spend much time in private practice. Original name was Dhaliwal. Migrated over from provincial politics. Basically contributes nothing. Living large though with the golden pension in view. Sad

IU'm still amazed about the part where turdOWE managed to fill a restaurant. Unless they are all members of the Liberal Party financed media.
