The Spanish word "ilusión" can mean either illusion or delusion.

Which leads me to believe that the word for "brilliant" in Spanish may well have other meanings. Once in a blue moon a single word has two opposite definitions..............(One that comes to mind is "cleave".) I strongly wonder if that is not the case with the Spanish word for "brilliant"! :lol:

Cuba may be mellowing, but it was a sideways shift from Bastista to Castro.

Yeah, well, I wouldn't exactly call Castro brilliant so his judgement about who is brilliant and who isn't is iffy, IMO.
As a human, I think Castro's right up there with other despotic duds and culls.
