DJ and music producer Diplo has outlandishly declared that he dated both former prime minister Justin Trudeau AND his new paramour, songbird Katy Perry.
Diplo spilled the tea on a recent appearance on the Smart Girl Dumb Questions podcast.
According to the New York Post, American DJ Diplo was discussing the lusty nature of Quebec with host Nayeema Raza when Trudeau came up. Diplo called the province a “horny” place, with Reza adding that Canada had “a hot prime minister.”

Perry — recently split from heartthrob Orlando Bloom — and Trudeau are a newsome twosome. Diplo said he previously dated the I Kissed A Girl warbler/astronaut.
Then he added: “I did date Trudeau, too. That was a weird one though because I’m just … I’m not in the positions.”
Fan asked if Diplo was joking about Trudeau
The Post noted that Diplo did not appear to be joking about Trudeau trysts.
But the podcast was quick to retreat on its official YouTube account that clarified that the DJ was, in fact, making it all up after a fan asked him if he was serious about dating Trudeau.
“lol!! no that part was a joke,” the account replied back in the comments section of the episode.
Dated singer back in 2014
As for Katy Perry, 41, that’s another matter. They dated back in 2014 after they were spotted at a slew of music industry parties and Coachella. In 2017, Perry took a tally of her lovers and ranked Diplo third behind Bloom and John Mayer.
Diplo responded on Twitter at the time, writing, “I don’t even remember having sex.”
He followed up the tweet with, “I won the bronze in sex Olympics.”
Perry and Bloom called it quits earlier this year, and the very unpopular former PM entered the picture shortly after. They had their first public appearance last weekend in Paris where they were snapped holding hands. The couple were in the City of Light to celebrate her birthday.
A source told the tabloid that Trudeau, 53, has been gushing that he is “crazy” about Perry and claims “she is the perfect woman.”

“They are simpatico on everything including politics, kids and French food,” the source told The Post. “Both have a sparkle for each other.”
Trudeau separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, in 2023. They share three children together: son Xavier, 18, daughter Ella-Grace, 16, and son Hadrien, 11.
The parents both posted images celebrating Halloween this year with their youngest — Trudeau was dressed as a shark that looked a lot like the infamous ‘Left Shark’ from Perry’s 2015 Super Bowl halftime show, while his son was an injured surfer. Gregoire Trudeau went trick or treating with them, dressed as a lifeguard.
