yup not a big deal freezing your political opponents bank accounts , putting Canada under Emergency measures over a peaceful protest . There has never been this kind of spontaneous gathering of middle class Canadians and it is growing , but to you it is a fart in a windstorm . Shows how out of touch you are .
Tell little Grandson , sorry Billy when our freedoms were being stolen and the governments tore up our charter rights I thought it was just some pig farting and went back to sleep .
Yes, you pissing and moaning on the internet is SO MUCH GREATER a contribution to Canada that his 35 years in SAR!

Sloly saw the writing on the wall. His inept and ineffective handling of the protesters was going to come down on him anyway.
Peterborough cheif of police has still not given reasons.
Peterborough mayor took a temposary leave of absense due ot health reasons
All left before the war measures act.
The tweet is BS assumptions.
The War Measures Act , that was P.E.Trudeau . But nice story . What would you have had Sloly do, send the cops in to break heads ?

So 35 years in S&R allows him to be an Internet warrior . Is the only service to ones country through military service?
His 35 years in S&R provided both a pay check and a pension . Great it is a necessary service and needs people and they do deserve their renumeration.
However is his paid service more valuable to the community than local volunteer S&R . Remember they often work in conjunction and the locals are on scene first .
How about the volunteer fire fighter is that service does or only Military count ?

The last couple weeks have been crazy and I’m tired. Trying to stay ahead of the protesters at the borders and juggling about 30 different trucks and drivers around all this insanity….& then trying to juggle around the government switching rules with respect to ArriveCAN, and this goddamn DEF/DPF environmental bullshit that just doesn’t function in a Northern climate.

That DEF/DPF is environmentally friendly because it keeps the machines in the shops.

Poor you. Don't understand the difference between the right to contribute and the quality of contribution.
Poor you , you still won’t answer if military service is the only contribution one can make ? Is 35 years of paid service more valuable then 5 years of volunteer service doing similar things ?

Sorry, didn't see the question. No, of course not. One can serve many ways. Being educated, like knowing the difference between "then" and "than," makes one's contribution more valuable.

Really spelling is an important contribution to society , good to know . But you might be pleased to know Taxslave agrees with the proper usage of then and than . Me I am to lazy and just print . Sorry if it confuses you .

So. . . where does it end up?

I figure there's three possibilities.

Most likely. . . pandemic ends, everybody gets back to pre-pandemic status, whole thing becomes a minor footnote in history, like the Vietnam War protests down here.

Less likely but pretty good chance. . . this accelerates in Canadian "culture" the role of performative outrage, as fat, dumb, lazy people decide that it's easier to take to the streets than to actually think their way through the process of devising, defending, and communicating a coherent position or grievance. Mass protests become less and less effective as it becomes normalized. Like what happened here. The March on Washington in 1963 was a cultural earthquake. Now we have several a year, and nobody gives a shit, except to complain about the traffic hassles.

Not a chance in hell but thought I'd mention it to round out the list. . . this provokes actual change in Canadian society. Vanishingly unlikely because there is no goal here.
The stage is being set to remove the protestors by force from Ottawa, they are setting up fencing, hand delivering removal notices, threatening protest leaders with arrest warrants, to justify in court their actions.

It's shit like this that brought the EMA into effect.

They've been ASKED to leave; they refuse.

TOLD to leave, they refuse.

They are disrupting Ottawa locals who, ironically, want THEIR 'lives' back.

The "mandates" are being lifted.

They can fuck off home now.
Yeah.......Who do they think they are....BLM...Anifta....Natives?

You say that like it's somehow responsive to my post, which you quoted.
