Do you understand what he's referring to? I acknowledge he's referring to an event in Canadian history and so non-Canadians might not understand what he's referring to, so I'll cut you some slack.

Give them a choice. They can work visa-free or we can buy them a ticket back home. Of course they can apply for refugee status, and then that's for a judge to decide.

Let them work? Let them work at what? What kind of skill set do you imagine they're bringing to Canada? You think these are a bunch of doctors, engineers and IT professionals?

These people have no education and few job skills. They are coming here at a time when we are on the cusp of a technological revolution which is going to eliminate millions of low-skilled jobs. We are bringing in tens of thousands of people every year who are going to wind up as sullen, unemployable people on welfare.

Like I said. If they are found ineligible for refugee status and can't find work, send them back. But if they do find work, then why not let them work visa-free? A person has a right to work.

Citizens have a right to seek employment. No one is obligated to hire them . These illegals do not have the right to even seek employment so if they do it will be under the table at low rates making harder for citizens to find decent paying jobs

Perhaps you should ask that question of those who are presently working for more than the newcomers will work for.


Ask those same people who are working at present, but who will be displaced the new workers.


Canada is just now at a point where we can help the poorest of our workers with a decent minimum wage.


I fear for that needed move as the immigrants come in to consume our sparse resources and disposable political income.


Did Trudeau say a 30 billion deficit?
