Well, if someone is going to make an issue out of one politician's suspected drug use, it would only make sense to maintain a level "playing field" by bringing up another politician's confirmed drug use.....................don't you think? -

He did not say whether he has responded to police attempts to interview him. He did not say whether he knew Anthony Smith, the man, later murdered, who stands beside him in a notorious photograph with two others. His performance left a hundred questions hanging.
The mayor has not even come close to explaining his behaviour or making up for the spectacle he has made of himself. At the very minimum, he needs to give the city a full account of his actions, his associations and his issues.
If you listened to the mayor on his show, you would think that he was simply a guy who had a few too many drinks from time to time.

Speaking in general terms, when a person's behaviour needs correcting I'm in favour of correcting it by taking the mildest action that will work. I think Mr. Ford may have been quite devastated by the insinuations of the past 6 months, which has resulted in him seemingly taking a close and critical look at his past performance and taking steps to improve. Maybe now we should let the matter go until his upcoming election day. There's bigger (well maybe not bigger) but more important fish to fry!
