When I heard it was Odor, I did a fist pump - how very fitting that he should bear this loss. Sometimes what goes around comes back.
I got a little nervous for a bit when the bats were going for the long bomb but when Josh got that lovely double, I got all tingly. These guys seem to make a habit of heart-stopping wins. The look on the Ranger managers face said it all. Bye bye Texas.............again.
I'm really happy they did in it three as they have a few days to rest and recoup. If we're lucky we might get Fransico back and I fully expect to see Devon on the roster. I was so happy for Joe Biagini - to see him come back from a bad inning and perform like he did - full creds. Kudos to our entire pitching staff, they did what was asked of them.
Well done Blue Jays you gave me yet another reason to be thankful this day.
Biagini pitched well. He had one ball the Rangers hit -- Pilar came within 2 inches of catching it. The 2 runs were Sanchez's. If they hadn't won, they would have been screwed. Gibbons burned the candle at both ends with the bullpen tonight. Texas would have been slightly better still having their closer.
Liriano can be back for game 2. Normally if you do substitution, you cannot bring player back next series. Exception being concussion protocol. In that case, he must be inactive 1 week and be cleared for return medically. That is why they did not deactivate Travis. I think they may want to add Goins on ALCS roster to give more infield depth.
Almost cheering for Boston as it would mean 2 starts against Price (good for 2 wins I am sure) and it would mean their ALDS went 5 games. But either Cleveland or Boston will be tough.
