Can't seem to get the offense to fire up 2 days in a row. Need the offense firing when Stroman is on the mound these days.

they were up against a very very good pitcher today, and Donaldson didn't start it off very well,
with that dumb baserunning, that could have made such a difference, right at the beginning of
the game, a great hit, just to throw it away, he had lots of time to see how fast the outfielder
got the ball, he had no business trying for 2nd, I guess it has become such a common thing for
him to get the doubles, not this time.

looking forward to the Colorado series.

They lost game 1 in Colorado. Had 4-0 lead going into 6th. Estrata gives up a 3 run HR but lasts to end of inning. Bullpen gives up 6 more after that. 1 solo HR by Encarnasion in the 9th was too little too late as the lose 9-5.

I have also noticed that each day there seems to be a new lineup. I know Batista is injured but moving people up and down the order may get confusing. Find one you like and stick with it. Let the batters get the feel of it and build on it. I understand you need to adjust things when Thole is catching but other than that aside from off days it should be roughly constant.

Too tired to stay up and watch Game 2 last night after the hail/rain delay in Denver. Watched Blue Jays in 30 this morning and am happy to see they managed to pull off a win against the Rockies.

You can see the thin atmosphere is tough on the Jays.

You sure love your baseball team Mowich. I remember as a boy my grandma always following her beloved LA Dodgers. She would sit and play her crossword puzzles and listen to the Dodgers on the radio. I've always been a Cubs fan.

Well Walter, the thin air didn't get to the Jays yesterday or today as they take the series against the hot-hitting Rockies 2 games to 1 with today's win. The Jays went 3 and 3 on the road trip and are back to TO for their series against the Cleveland Indians.

I do, Ludlow. This is only my second season following the Jays but I am totally hooked. They have given me a new appreciation for baseball. You mentioned once before that you are a Cubbies fan so when I hear the scores about other teams and the Cubs are playing I do think of you and wonder if you're watching or listening to the game.

cubs have been poor in recent years, but they now have madden for manager, his second year, they are

doing very well, and threatening to be a post season team.

My sister Mary will be a happy camper tonight - she's been an Indians fan for over 30 years and her team just won their 13th in a row against the Jays tonight. I believe that I just saw one of the finest pitching performances this year - too bad it was by a Jay. Carlos Carrasco struck 14 Jays tonight, went 7.1 innings and gave up just 3 hits and I don't think he threw a high ball all night - he was that good.

Josh Donaldson's homer in the 4th was the only point the Jays would put on the board all night. RA pitched well. He walked one, gave up 3 earned runs and struck out 4. Brett Cecil's return to the mound was what the team and fans were hoping for as he went 3 up, 3 down.

Marcus Stroman will start for the Jays in front of the sold-out Canada Day crowd. He goes up against another hot Cleveland pitcher Josh Tomlin.

The Cubs have had seasons like that before. Last year they had a pretty good team too that lost to the Mets in the NLCS I believe. Before that they made it to the NLCS and were on the verge of winning it. Then an opponent hit a foul ball just in the stands (1 row). The Cubs fielder had a beed on it and almost made a catch. But some poor kid grabbed the ball as a soveneer. This seemed to spark the opponents who proceeded to rally that inning and win that game and then the series. Security had to escort that poor fan from the stadium (not because he was ejected -- he did nothing wrong -- but because the was a real possibility he would have been hurt really bad by rabid Cubs fans who blamed him for the Cubbies collapse.

Indians have now won 13 in a row. They are hot. Jays really picked a bad time to face them. Of course all streaks come to an end. But if Stroman dishes up what he has the last couple of starts expect a lopsided score on the side of the visitors tomorrow.

I'll be at our Canada Day celebrations tomorrow and won't get home in time for the game. Will have to watch Blue Jays Rewind Saturday before I go to work.

well, its fun to watch a team at the top of their game, on a streak, even if it isn't the team I would
want, pitcher was awesome tonight, jays can be humbled by this game, its good for them, but if they
don't improve that bull pen, doesn't matter what they do at bat, unless they score about 20 run every
game, they will go down, sure hope they are working on it, good to see cecil back.
