As a good union man as well as a public service employee, I wouldn't think of it. I do have vacation days I plan on taking

I don't remember if it was a world junior game of an Olympic playoff game but I remember trying to convince the bosses to allow it in the lunchroom with no luck....if it's not allowed for Hockey, I doubt we'll see baseball

Typical hack.

Game 1 -- Price
Game 2 -- Stroman
Game 3 -- Estrata
Game 4 -- Dickey
Game 5 -- Price

Buerlie and Huchinson don't make roster.
Also only infielder as backup (Pennington). Kawasaki also did not make the roster. They carry 11 pitchers and a whole bunch of outfielders.

The Rays have always given Jays trouble. Rangers less so. No TV blackouts for baseball. Unclear which games will be available for MLB.TV. I will probably just listen to the game audio on MLB.TV or bring in an AM radio. The AM station stream is blocked due to rights issues.

What I am concerned about is Price. His post-season history is horrible.

I watch the games on Sportsnet.........watching the Astros and Yankees right now........that Keuchel is scary good..........I was cheering for the Astros.....may have to switch if Keuchel keeps this up. They have a woman on the broadcast who I find most annoying........the two guys aren't bad. Astros up 2 - 0 top of the 6th...........sorry bottom of the 6th.

I really saw nothing wrong with the Jays celebration after their lock on the ALE, IRBS. They are strong healthy guys............if they can't party for one night then have a day off and come back fresh on the second day - I would be tres surprised. I also thought the decision to start Buerhle was a good move by the Club.............I imagine Mark feels pretty bad ...........but s*&t happens.........could have been pulled earlier?..............I leave that up to wiser baseball heads than mine.

There will be a few disappointed fans when they hear that Meunori will not be playing anymore. He's become one of my favorites.........though Brett Cecil is top of my list.

I wonder how many bosses in Toronto just might do the good thing, Cannuck. Then too, there is always the internet. I am quite sure that a lot of laptops and various other devices will be tuning in.

When the Blue Jays aren't playing its "Anybody But Yankees". Go Astros!

I know Cannuck but have you been watching the Astro's pitcher..............he's hot! The Yankees have already pulled Tanaka and there's been a string of replacements since. He - Keuchel - faltered a bit in the last inning........but he still got out without a run scored.

I was watching the game before as well

Ah...........sorry then. Come on Sipps ..............strand ARod on base.

Yeah, Sipps. The Yankees have a long row to hoe..............down 3 top of the 8th .............does not look good.

Ah dear................the fans are booing their team. Well the Yanks have one more inning to win or tie the game..........way things are going I think the Astros.........baring any snafus...............will win.

She is a softball player. I don't mind her. I liked when they had David Archer (TB pitcher) for a couple of innings. Had good insight on the pitchers.

3 - 0 and Yankees down to their last out. Astros win.

The celebration happens. That is baseball tradition. But they threw away 2 games not just 1 after. IMHO it is those games which cost them home field. As to Mark, I am unclear why they pulled him on Friday. He had pitched 6.2. Let him pitch 2 more. I think the result on Sunday was expected.

3 - 0 Astros and they are off to meet the Royals. It was outstanding pitching by the Astros tonight.

Or a continuation of the Yankees slide. Looking at the AL East this year, one could view it as a Blue Jays surge. But one could also look it as a Yankees choke. The Jays definitely played their way into the playoffs. But I think one can look at the Yankees loss of the division as a choke.

After seeing a bunch of stats about their season, I would have to say I agree with you, IRBS.

The Toronto Blue Jays have made the cover of Sports Illustrated for the first time since 2005. (Sports Illustrated/Canadian Press)

One game playoff is a crap shoot. That's why winning the division was important.
