Tories fess up to hundreds of thousands in undisclosed donations

Who were the "donations" from anyway... In my experience if you want to get to the bottom of what's going on, best to follow the cash....If these " donations" come from Canadian shills of "special interest", then I would say that there is a problem... If grass roots support, fine...

Either way, the conservatives will wear this one after all their squeaking about accountability...

We all need to find a new group, the whole barrel's sour...How can we move forward with any of these??

I wouldn't say "fine" at all. If the CPC interpretation were allowed to set precident there would be no end of "conventions" political parties could hold off the books and no limit to the advertising and pamphleteering that could accompany it. It would make a farce of even having a limit set in the first place.

You can put away your crystal ball, because I think it's a dud. I am actually a Conservative and proud of it. I believe that this past 11 months or so under this government has been a breath of fresh air. To think, a Prime Minister who actually follows through on his election promises, does what he said he would do .........
Yeah, right. Whatever happened to the senate reform he was talking about? Whatever happened to his promise that he wouldn't hand over nifty jobs to friends? What happened to the transparent gov't that the verbally stingy Harper was talking about? I could go on, but I think folks get the idea.
Just because I think he isn't as bad as ChRETIeN or aPAULing Martin or Brian Bullroney doesn't mean I think he's some kinda god like Cons do.

As far as I know they are being held up by the opposition and the senate and for very good reason. Or so I've been told. I do not follow this particular part of politics.

?? They were mugged? Held up? Bushwhacked? ;)
Um, I spose you're referrring to the senate reform thing. That still leaves the couple dozen other items that Harpy gabbed about in campaigning that somehow went awry or just plain didn't appear. Pols are pols whatever their brand, for the most part; duds n culls. Um, besides that, he's from Tranna. His facade is Albertan, but he's still got a lotta Tranna in him. Easterner's like ignoring the west except when they need something.

BBL, gotta go push snow around. :(

Things that have or are being done:

1. GST reduction
2. Child care payments
3. New equipment for the military...aircraft, ships, icebreakers etc (about time too....Liberals cancel helicopter orders at the cost of tens of millions of dollars, only for the unrelaible Sea Kings to take more military lives)
4. Action on the wheatboard.
5. Strengthening voilent crime laws.
6. Amending the Dangerous offender procedure to ensure these individual have to prove why they are worth while in society.
7. Softwood lumber....what were the Liberal's doing with this, while many peoples lives in the lumber industry sufferred. I realise not everyone likes the deal but at least we get 4/5ths of the $5 Billion back)

Probably many more...but iI am Christmas sleep deprived and can't think!

Good.
2. Child care payments
Better than the Glibs plan.

Again, better than the Glibs plan.
4. Action on the wheatboard.
Wheat Board is still around pissing farmers off.
5. Strengthening voilent crime laws.
