He is right. most of us just want the dam thing fixed. And no more whining from Quebec.

Might be fun to engage a Constitutional challenge on whether or not Que has a 'distinct society' relative to every other society in Canada.... Might take all the starch outta these morons that feel they are owed a free lunch.

Then again, might be fun to hold a referendum in the ROC to vote on whether or not we kick Que out of the federation... Give 'em what they've been whining about for all these years

Our laws should not separate people by race, culture, ethnic background....there are some here that disagree with me on that note. I have asked repeatedly for somebody to provide examples of where divisiveness has improved a society. As of yet, I've had no takers.

...........Having to put up with people contradicting the conbot line.:

Harper says people 'fed up' with constitutional battles - Politics - CBC News

Oh jesus, that hurts. Laughing that much.

He's a ****ing megalomaniac.............****ing sociopath..............Should be put away.

A pretty ridiculous post for a Hater to use as an example.
This story behind this OP shows Harper doing the right thing for Canada and all Canadians (except separatists).

The back story is that some Quebecois separatist author wrote a book in Quebec alleging that the Supreme court of Canada improperly briefed Canadian and British
Government officials during the patriation process in 1982 or so.
At the time and a little later the Supreme Court of Canada reviewed itself and its actions and found all in order.
This was all under the Liberal Government of Pierre Elliot Trudeau.
So no matter what the reality is this one is all on the Liberals and PET.

So now Mulcair is trying to rally support in his home base of Quebec.
Primarily by locking in the Sovereigntists against the BQ.
So Mulcair dredges up this idiotic book and wants a search of the official records of the Government of the Day and the Supreme Court and no doubt an inquiry.
It's all a separatist anti- Confederation, anti-Canada ploy to suck up to Quebecois votes.

So if Harper really was such a jerk he would have gone along with Mulcairs assinine request.
After all the Liberals would take the fall no matter what.
But no.
Harper says enough is enough.
No more trying to destroy the nation.
No more self inflicted navel gazing.
And no more pandering to the separatists.

He made the right decision for Canada.

And I do tend to suspect that Harper is indeed getting a little fed up with the Quebec separatists.

This OP is good reason in itself to vote for Harper's in the next Federal election.

If I was a Harper Hater I would have gone with the missing billions in the terrorism funding issue or the closing of the Coast Gaurd base in BC.
Just saying.

But to fix it, you have to open it. I'm sick of it too, but if Harper just sweeps it under the rug, guess what, we'll still be discussing it 100 years down the raod. Once it's fixed then we'll finally be able to put it behind us. So, if he's sick of it, you'd think he'd want to open it to get it over with once and for all.

Sounds like 1980.

My relatives are gainfully employed in their various professional capacities.
And I retired at 54 without may I add a pension.

Your pretty quick on the thumbs and implied insults.
But can you debate me?
Can you refute what I said in my post regarding the OP?
Thought not.
