You are still ignoring the simple question here though, in your situation, what would you do if your rights were being infringed on? What good is a right with no mechanism to defend it?

Defy the law.

This is the third time I have explained to you that rights are a defense against gov't power, therefore the only people that can deny you your rights are the government, thus the only response appeal to the SCOC, and if that is either unattainable or denied, rebellion of one type or another.

Does that really sound preferable to filing a human rights complaint?

My problem with Levant has nothing to do with his politics. It is his tactics.

Do you really think he achieved anything by doing that interview? What changed because of it?
I don't listen to or read anything of late by Levant.

And yes, absolutely I believe Levant's fight made a difference. It brought attention to a quasi-judicial organization that has been destroying people with impunity. People I might add who didn't have Levant's resources to fight back.

I can ask again, what changed because of it?

Religion and all of the sects of religious belief should be subject to the law
of the land and pay taxes. If they have exemptions from law based on faith
and have a tax free ride they should give up tax exempt status.
Religious groups should be tax exempt for actual work on the ground helping
the poor and homeless etc. For raising funds and church building they should
pay like anyone else.

What changed about AIDS after Rock Hudson died? People became aware. As a result they educated themselves. Became engaged. Not everyone of course. There still ignoramus out there who will say its GAY disease or God's Vengeance. But for the most part the public changed its attitude.

In the case of Levant vs the HRC. Most people were not engaged and hardly noticed. Now, the HRC faces scrutiny for its actions, while before it went unnoticed. In fact noted liberals have even called for its removal and question its usefulness. So, much has changed and hopefully, it will be eventually be disbanded.

Of course there will always be folks who aren't going to see the bigger issue. I know I'm going out on a limb here actually answering your questions, if I'm wasting my time simply say so.

Newspapers/Journalist not being harassed for what they publish. They lost all credibility with the general public by pursuing this case, 1st in Ontario, which rejected it, then shopping around and found that BC would accept the complaint.
2 purposes were served.

This is all getting kind of muddled. The quote you cite here was from a conversation about the interview in the OP and his misleading rants.
