Re: Have American Women Lost the Art of Being a Woman? A Chinese Woman's Perspective

Well, in china's defence (not a position I ever expected to find myself in, believe me!), a lot us are that shallow.

I believe I covered that...... only if they are as shallow as YOU and china.

Re: Have American Women Lost the Art of Being a Woman? A Chinese Woman's Perspective

This reminds me of all the single women out there who continue to live it up, without any thought to their declining market value.
They are, or should consider themselves, possessions to be bought then? Nice touch of misogyny.

I'll remember that Da Sleeper .

What do you really expect when you perpetually post threads that are designed to take pot-shots at everyone on these boards?

To be perfectly frank, you're getting off lightly with the responses to date.

Re: Have American Women Lost the Art of Being a Woman? A Chinese Woman's Perspective

It is interesting that in American women are valued. In China baby girls are aborted and abandoned and viewed as worthless. That is where this attitude landed them.

The view taken of women in China is tragic.

Soon women will be highly valued though and men will be used as army fodder because the men will be seen as expendable since there are now so many of them and not enough women to match up.

Awesome post.

You make it sound like every girl gets aborted and viewed as worthless -mine wasn't neither majority of other baby girls who " arrive in this world very safely " .For your informations the doctors are not allowed to tell pregnant mother the sex of the baby ( obviously for that reason).
I agree with you that the Chines prefer a baby boy and that there are cases that a baby girl is 'eliminated' .

To be frank I think you are a very frustrated person , pity .

That's an extremely odd comment coming from an individual that appears to exist on these boards for the sole purpose of begging for attention.

By in large, my observation is that you have little to offer in the form of ideas or opinion, just acting the part of a cheerleader for all things Chinese.... You really are no different than the stereotypical evangelical preacher that talks only of fire and brimstone - and wonders why only a handful of the blind fanatics follow their malarkey

Despite your belief that you may be strengthening perceptions of your newly adopted land, I expect that you are doing far more damage than good.

Abortion for the sole purpose of sex selection is permissible in the USA. That's why some women from China and India come to America to do what they could not in their own countries. It's a form of medical tourism.

Re: Have American Women Lost the Art of Being a Woman? A Chinese Woman's Perspective

We spend so much time stating what women should be instead of who they are.
Women should be what ever they want to be and yes they should have attitude.
Nothing worse than a woman who is dominated by some fool who thinks he is a
man. I have told all the young ladies in our family "stand up for yourself" they
won't be pushed around.
Share the work and share responsibility but don't let anyone hold you back in life.
When women are equal we won't have to talk about feminism anymore period.

Just trying to give you some friendly advice.

This same dynamic may be the reason that the Chinese authorities ran you out of that country... Think about it
