Your need is so much greater than ours ...

Bollocks. Our economy is performing better than yours and, indeed, better than any other major developed economy.

In 2015, Britain produced more jobs than the other 27 EUSSR Member States combined. In fact, Yorkshire (population 5.2 million) produced more jobs than France (population 64.4 million).

It will be interesting to observe the territorialistic inclinations. Might not we see some savagery? Raids for women and sheep?

I hope so. If we don't see a rival tribe turn up at another tribe, set fire to the twig and branch huts and run away with one or two of its women slung over their shoulders I'll be very disappointed.

I wonder when strong drink gets invented?

It is thought that intentionally fermented beverages may have been consumed as early as 10,000BC, so it is plausible we could see them getting invented during the series.

Of course it goes without saying that all of these participants are contraceptive free.
Have you seen the women? You'd have to be mad, blind or desperate to want to participate in carnal passions with anything of them. If I was in one of the tribes the only reason I'd be nicking any of the rival tribe's women would be to get extra people to do the cooking and cleaning.

The women of the first tribe to arrive in the wilderness:

Suzanne Wyatt, 52
Retired A&E consultant from Cardiff who is the oldest member and is picked by the other tribe members to be their leader in the Bulgarian wilderness

Aimee Berrington, 25 Gospel singer from London

Lucinda Stott, 32
Fitness instructor from Hartlepool

Megan Owen, 24 Professional stunt rider from Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire

Blackleaf when did weaponry first come into play ? That would be interesting to know.

Not necessarily talking about hunting tools but rather weaponry needed for war. Tribal war I guess in those days.

This is how the econuts want everyone to live.

This is how they'd make EVERYBODY live if they had the chance.

The earliest surviving arrowheads date to around 62,000BC and were found in what is now Natal in South Africa.

The oldest known bows andd arrows on Europe were found north of Hamburg in Germany and date to around 7000BC-9000BC - so the bits in 10,000BC showing the tribes hunting animals with bows and arrows could actually be historically inaccurate.

But it seems that for hundreds of thousands of years, the human population was so tiny that they were able to avoid armed conflict with each other. There is no evidence of warfare amongst Homo Erectus.

The earliest evidence of warfare between humans - modern humans arrived around 200,000 years ago - is in rock art in northern Australia that depicts fighting between hunter-gatherers and dates from around 10,000BC.

The earliest known actual battle from archaeological evidence took place in what is now Turkana in Kenya around 8000BC.

EPISODE 2: At Lake Camp, leader Suzanne sets her tribe to hunting, foraging and fishing, unaware that a second tribe has arrived at Wood Camp and is trying to find the lake - 10,000 BC - Season 2 Episode 2 - Jan 21, 2016 - Video Dailymotion

EPISODE 3: After realising that they are not alone and must compete for resources, the two tribes agree a pact to share the fishing gear and the catch 50-50. The Crays would like to poach champion fisherman Dan, but will he defect? - 10,000 BC - Season 2 Episode 3 - Jan 27, 2016 - Video Dailymotion

EPISODE 4: The Snake tribe decide to move to Hunt camp, but will the Cray tribe get there first? - 10,000 BC - Season 2 Episode 4 - Jan 28, 2016 - Video Dailymotion
