On my way through the highways of Montreal years ago I witnessed a woman knitting a sweater while driving! I kid you not!

Watch an episode of Canada's Worst Driver, HH. People behind the wheel do all kinds of stupid thoughtless distracting things.

Country people don't generally text and drive. Too dam hard to roll a fatty while holding onto a bottle of shine and drive as it is.

We do, do we? I'll have to share that comment with my friends here in the country.

I've seen others putting on eye liner!
Lipstick, make-up, blush, clothing - I kid you not, curling their hair.......the list is endless. On one episode of CWD, one of the driver's would light intense and burn it on her dash, read tarot cards and wave an Eagle feather around all while driving.

Northern Ontario,
With the last Iphone update you can't text and drive and can only speak if you have Bluetooth in your vehicle, a passenger can disable the feature and one drawback is that a driver can disable it too.
One thing I don't like about it is that if have something to do on my phone while parked, I either have to turn of the engine or disable the feature....
To re-enable it the fastest way is to turn of the engine then turn it back on...

Do Android phone have that too?

Technically, if they were taped to the steering wheel, they weren't 'handheld' devices.

that said, new cars all come with big screens and GPS and menus to scroll through, which I think is ridiculous and makes the whole situation worse.
