It's not the fact that you object to nude photos that I find objectionable, it's the characterization of someone willing to pose nude as being willing to do anything else for money. No way. Some maybe, but no, for some, many, women, that is their limit. That's as exhibitionist as they're willing to get, because it fits into their morality. A body's a body. There's nothing wrong with nudity. That fits into my moral scheme. To imply that a woman is willing to do other things for money based on the fact that they'd pose nude is more immoral in my view than the pics themselves.

Yeah, I will come your way on that comment, as I'm sure many would not do other
acts, that I obviously was connecting to the nude photos.

As for the fact that they 'don't consider' their family... how would you possibly know? My cousin made sure the whole family knew when she was going to be doing a nude shoot, so no one would accidentally buy a magazine with her in it. And if they did, ew, the creepy factor's on them.
Hmmm, I guess some do and some don't, whichever it is, i disagree with the decision,
that was the reason for my first post.
Pretty shocking for my husband when he opened that magazine. We were very close
with her parents, and if they did know, they never would want us to know, they would
have been too embarrassed, so that is why we made sure 'never' to mention it to anyone, especially them.

And, yes, I have known people, who could take their clothes off
in front of anyone, almost anywhere, and didn't care, and it depends
what your stand is, how one would describe those people. There are people
who go about their daily tasks, in their own homes, nude, whatever, it takes all kinds.
So, I guess those people could pose for nude pictures, and not give it a thought.

Do those porn stars, all pumped up with 'stuff', actually attract 'men'? If they do,
something is wrong with the men as well, as there really can't be anything sexually
arousing about those bodies at all, or do men really expect real women to look like
that, I wonder.

How in hell did we get to "porn stars"? And how did we get to "pumped up with stuff"? Talloola, you are imagining things again.

I applaud the hijacking efforts in this thread. This was a derailment of decent proportions. I'd say the thread train is laying on its side by the tracks now...

I have no problem with nudity or nude photos, but do have a problem with the many stroke books on the stands..Playboy is probably the classiest one of them, tho.

Now, on the one hand, My moral views about how I would act are similar to Talloola,

On the other hand, I don't view people with a different view of modest as *****s.

Lets face it, to nearing a billion people on this planet Talloola would probably be considered to be walking around like a tramp.

As im guessing you let your hair (on top of your head) be seen like it wasn't a "naughty bit" as alot of cultures believe it to be (on par with flashing your knockers)

Over a billion more see nothing more wrong with a woman being topless compared to a man and walk around day in day out without a shirt on. Both in western countries (such as Canada) and ancient cultures (in South America and Africa).

And hundreds of millions more are nudists and don't think there is anything wrong with wandering around naked like god made you.

So while Im quite happy with my Victorian normalities, I don't go around insulting people who shares different views than me (Especially considering "glass houses" compared to more strict views of modesty)

There are two thoughts I have for 'women' or 'men' who take their clothes off and pose
for pictures.

1) They will do 'anything' for money, and probably doesn't stop at 'just' picture
taking.

2) They have no pride in themselves, and don't give one thought to their families
who can open a book one day and see their own relative looking back at them
'completely', how embarrassing for all, except the sleeze ball who posed.

My husband was looking at a 'magazine' some years ago at work, as most of the
guys do, and was very shocked to see a 'relative' of ours looking back at him,
completely naked. When he told me about it, we both felt uncomfortable,
and promised we would never reveal that information to anyone in the family,
as I'm sure her parents new 'nothing' about it.

I suppose most would think we are 'just' old fashioned, but I'm happy to be,
thanks. I remember saying that about our parents, over other things that
were more innocent than that, so, I wonder what we will think is 'OK'
100 years from now.

no big deal in my opinion. Plus the situation has to be taken in context.

I think it's strange that you say that someone who sells pictures of their bodies naked has no pride in themselves... If I could sell my body and naked pictures of it, i'd be rather proud of myself.

and who should be more ashamed... your relative (presumably grand-daughter or neice or someone of similar age) or you husband, who was reading a magazine which contained naked pictures of women of a similar (exactly the same) age as his grand-daughter/neice/state-relation-here?

BINGO!

And I happily look at pictures of naked girls half my age.....very happily!

Why should they be ashamed that they are beautiful?

Well, I can only give my opinion from my upbringing and my own culture, and even the
countries who walk around topless, I'm sure aren't on the shelves along with playboy,
it is 'just' their normal everyday attire/non attire, whatever they do as a culture, but
whatever it is, they are not selling it.

Yeah, the posing/reading thing is just a circle, one can't exist without the other, and he
wasn't reading it out in public, or at home, or, he didn't buy it, picked it up in the lunch
room I guess, and I would do the same, we are curious critters, and when something is
a little 'different', we want to see. It's our 'reaction' to what we see that is 'key' here.

I knew when I sent my first post, that I would get 'flamed' reaction, and I think that drove
me to do it, even more, as I wanted to know what you all think, and where I fit in, so, my
age and time in this world has shown up. I am a little surprised that there aren't more people around here, more like myself, I guess I am the oldest, and the most 'old fashioned',
but after saying that, I am happy to be 'who I am', so, don't look for 'me' any time soon,
on the cover, or in playboy, or hustler.;-)(do they have a 'senior' edition), hmmm,
maybe I will put more time on the tredmill today.

I'm too lazy to look this up at the moment, but I remember reading of Alexander The Great reporting visiting a society who would just have sex right on the street right out in the open.

Inevitably society does pendulum swings. Forget that imagery for a moment. LOL !!

And why this "swing" so to speak ?

Because both extremes reveal, again, so to speak, their excessive negatives.
