Amanda Lee, 50, from Crewe, Cheshire, has been treating her town like it’s her very own private bathroom for years, and has been ordered by police to stop.
Lee has been convicted 15 times dating back to 1996 for offences including anti-social behaviour, harassment, public order, and abusing the emergency system, reports news outlet Cheshire Live.
Police issued her a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), which prevents Lee from doing these five things in the “exclusion zone” around her town:
She can’t be in possession of alcohol in an open container.
She can’t use abusive language or threatening behaviour in a public place nor use a dog to threaten or intimidate people.
She can’t contact police on the emergency numbers 999 or 101 unless she has a genuine reason for doing so.
She can no longer “urinate or defecate” in any open space, public or private.
There’s also a street, Preece Court, that Lee is no longer allowed to enter.
“She has persistently shown no consideration at all for the actions her offending has had on others,” police constable Alex Barker said, according to Cheshire Live.
“There comes a point when you have to say enough is enough and take additional action to protect the community and businesses in the area.”
If Lee breaches the terms of her CBO, she could receive a maximum of five years in jail.

The patient who received the kidney is recovering and was compatible with the organ, but the patient who was supposed to get the kidney is still waiting for the life-saving transplant surgery.
University Hospitals released a statement on Monday acknowledging the mistake, reports Cleveland.com.
“We have offered our sincerest apologies to these patients and their families. We recognize they entrusted us with their care,” read the statement. “The situation is entirely inconsistent with our commitment to helping patients return to health and live life to the fullest.”
According their website, University Hospitals is “one of the nation’s leading health care systems, providing patient-centered care that meets the highest standards for quality and patient safety.”

The botched surgery happened on July 2, reported the New York Post, where the hospital issued another statement saying they are “dismayed” by the error.

Kanna Osawa, who owns Torosha sweet shop in Maebashi, about 100 km northwest of Tokyo, wants to promote the potential of nutritious and environmentally friendly insects.
“I want our customers to eat insects and realize insects are an option for food, rather than to eat them (out of curiosity) just because they are insects,” the 25-year-old entrepreneur told the Washington Post.
Osawa, from Tokyo, grew up with a love of bugs despite living in the large metropolis. She was good at catching crickets and toads in her garden at home and at local parks.
After graduating from high school, Osawa got a job with a company that cleaned fish tanks.
When that didn’t pan out due to her aversion to commuting on crowded trains, she moved to Maebashi in 2017 where her boyfriend, Nobuhiro Honma, 26, lives.

She worked several jobs before the coronavirus pandemic hit last year. When stores began to close up shop, that was the spur for her to jump all in to start her own bug-based baked goods.
At first, Osawa thought of opening up a cafe with various insect specimens on display. But what pushed her to actually use bugs in her sweet treats was an exhibition on eating insects last fall that she attended.
Osawa then rented a tiny metal-roofed building and renovated the whole space herself. She purchased powdered crickets and used them as an ingredient in bread and other candied goods.
“I want to make (eating insects) so accessible they’ll be sold at a trendy goods store,” Osawa said.
Pound cakes and cookies are made by her boyfriend, and the store also stocks other goods from around Japan.
There’s also coffee that is infused with insects, along with accessories with insect motifs.
But for those who don’t want to munch on a bunch of insect-infused treats, the store also offers baked goods that do not use cricket powder.

Fire crews responded to a call about a bee swarm in Marana, Ariz., northwest of Tucson, where six people had been stung multiple times, according to fire officials.
Three people were stung “hundreds of times” and rushed to hospital, according to officials.
One of the victims, an unidentified man, was later pronounced dead.
Three firefighters who responded to the call were also stung “multiple times,” officials said.

Ripper’s unexpected rise to fame came when Carel ten Cate, a professor of animal behaviour at Leiden University in the Netherlands, began investigating the evolution of vocal learning among birds.

During his research he stumbled across a recording from the summer of 1987, which appeared to capture the male musk duck swearing repeatedly and mimicking the sound of a closing door.
The moment was a “special rediscovery,” Cate said, explaining in an email to The Washington Post that the find was “pure coincidence.” Cate contacted Peter J. Fullagar, the scientist who had recorded the talking bird, which was 4 years old at the time the audio file was created.
Their research, which was published Monday in the Royal Society scientific journal, indicates that captive musk ducks appear to have the ability to imitate human speech. In Ripper’s case, the phrase he was captured repeating sounded exactly like “you bloody fool.”

Vocal learning among most animals is an advanced trait and relatively rare, although some groups such as songbirds and parrots have demonstrated their ability to learn words from humans.
Cate described the discovery of vocal learning in a duck species “extra remarkable.”
Although it is impossible to know for sure where the duck got the phrase from, it may have been language picked up from his caregiver, the report said.
Musk ducks form strong maternal relationships because the species reproduce in small numbers – which means mothers have more time to interact with their young.
This may explain why hand-reared musk ducks like Ripper, who was raised at Australia’s Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, form strong human connections with their caregivers and are more likely to mimic their behaviour.

In the study, which took around two years to compile, researchers said that they had also received reports of two male musk ducks, raised in the United Kingdom, mimicking human noises they had been exposed to, including coughing sounds.
Musk ducks can only be found naturally in Australia and are known for their large, powerful builds and stiff black and brown feathers. Males have what experts describe as a “large bulbous lobe of skin,” that dangles underneath their bill and inflates as they seek a mate.
Females have a smaller pocket of leathery skin that hangs underneath their bill and are smaller in stature.
The duck’s name derives from the odour they emit when attempting to attract a mate.
“We never thought ducks were capable of this,” Sean Dooley, public affairs manager at the conservation organization BirdLife Australia told The Post on Tuesday, adding that the findings came as a surprise.

“This was not on my bingo card,” Dooley joked, but added if he had to pick a duck species to exhibit such a talent, it would be musk ducks, which he called “incredibly unique and charismatic.”
When it comes to mating rituals, males put on an elaborate display – kicking and splashing the water while making loud whistling sounds during the day and night, according to BirdLife.
“They pull out all the stops,” Dooley said of the ritual.
Cate said he hopes the research will inspire other scientists to analyze the ducks.
“There is still a lot more to examine on this species,” he said.
And, while Ripper is no longer alive, his surprising story has brought joy and amusement to some in Australia, where citizens in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne remain under lockdown restrictions amid outbreaks of the delta variant.
“As we enter week four of L4 lockdown, this is the kind of distraction I need. Brilliant,” read one tweet, while Dooley said that many more people were paying attention to birds and the outside world as a result of the global health crisis.

This may explain why hand-reared musk ducks like Ripper, who was raised at Australia’s Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, form strong human connections with their caregivers and are more likely to mimic their behaviour.

In the study, which took around two years to compile, researchers said that they had also received reports of two male musk ducks, raised in the United Kingdom, mimicking human noises they had been exposed to, including coughing sounds.
Musk ducks can only be found naturally in Australia and are known for their large, powerful builds and stiff black and brown feathers. Males have what experts describe as a “large bulbous lobe of skin,” that dangles underneath their bill and inflates as they seek a mate.
Females have a smaller pocket of leathery skin that hangs underneath their bill and are smaller in stature.
The duck’s name derives from the odour they emit when attempting to attract a mate.
“We never thought ducks were capable of this,” Sean Dooley, public affairs manager at the conservation organization BirdLife Australia told The Post on Tuesday, adding that the findings came as a surprise.

“This was not on my bingo card,” Dooley joked, but added if he had to pick a duck species to exhibit such a talent, it would be musk ducks, which he called “incredibly unique and charismatic.”
When it comes to mating rituals, males put on an elaborate display – kicking and splashing the water while making loud whistling sounds during the day and night, according to BirdLife.
“They pull out all the stops,” Dooley said of the ritual.
Cate said he hopes the research will inspire other scientists to analyze the ducks.
“There is still a lot more to examine on this species,” he said.
And, while Ripper is no longer alive, his surprising story has brought joy and amusement to some in Australia, where citizens in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne remain under lockdown restrictions amid outbreaks of the delta variant.
“As we enter week four of L4 lockdown, this is the kind of distraction I need. Brilliant,” read one tweet, while Dooley said that many more people were paying attention to birds and the outside world as a result of the global health crisis.

Toronto Police say investigation was launched after officers responded to a “suspicious incident” in the area of Danforth and Coxwell Aves. around 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 24.
“It is reported that a man attended a daycare multiple times and removed soiled diapers from a garbage bin,” Det.-Const. Greg Yan, of 55 Division, said in a statement released Friday.
The unidentified man is described as 18 to 22 years old, about 5-foot-5, and he was wearing a red baseball cap with a grey brim, black track pants and black running shoes.
He was also carrying a black/dark blue backpack.

The otherwise healthy 47-year-old was on vacation in South Africa at a nature reserve when the cobra struck from the toilet and clamped on to his genitals, according to the details published in Urology Case Reports .
The man waited three hours to be transported by helicopter to the nearest trauma centre, some 350 kilometres away, after suffering what the medical journal described as the first case of “snouted cobra envenomation of the genitals.”
During that presumably torturous wait, the victim reported feeling “a burning sensation in his genitals and a pain that ascended through his groin to his flank, upper chest, and abdomen.”

When he arrived at the hospital, his genitals were swollen and a deep purple colour, which doctors say indicated scrotal necrosis – more commonly referred to as “flesh-eating disease.”
He received multiple doses of a non-specific snake venom antiserum and broad-spectrum antibiotics, according to the medical report.
“The scrotal necrosis was reported to involve the entire fascia (skin to internal spermatic) and was excised with extensive margins,” read the report. “The defect in the penile shaft was treated by superficial debridement and a vacuum assisted closure pump.”
Nine days later, the man returned to the Netherlands where a plastic surgeon performed a “penile shaft debridement, with extensive resection of dead tissue extending into the corpus spongiosum to the fold of the preputium.”
Following that, a graft from his groin was placed over the penis.
He was discharged from hospital two weeks later.
In the man’s follow-up appointment, doctors found the wounds had successfully healed and function and sensation to his penis had fully recovered.

According to 9News , the unnamed 30-year-old was eaten by the carnivorous fish after jumping into a lake where he drowned.
Fire department officials from Brasilandia de Minas stated the man was fishing with friends on Oct. 31 when he jumped into the lake located on a farm.
A firefighter who recovered the man from the water said his face and other body parts were mangled by the piranhas. The victim’s body was found four metres from the shore.
Currently, it’s unknown whether the piranha attack occurred before or after the man drowned. His friends also jumped into the water but they were able to swim to safety.
