We compete directly against Australia and New Zealand for every morsel that we export. The Brits will just view us as an imperial possession and will not give you anything preferential. There is no CANZUK to be had other than a common cultural agreement. It's an illusion. Asia is where the action is, now and for the forseable future. The US is going down.

Canadian farmers can't compete with countries that don't have seasons. We have to grow and harvest forage to see our animals through our cold winters but in the South, they can graze their animals all year long (which costs a lot less).
