The tragedy is that there is no going back to how "things were" now. Too much damage has been done and far too much trust has been lost due to the Trump instability. ( mental status and actions )
Buy Canadian ( or any country EXCEPT the USA)
Travel to any nation ...........EXCEPT the US ( unless one absolutely has to )
One does not treat their neighbor the way Trump is ...........tearing apart so many years to positive relationships and working together. It is really insanity.......as there is NO NEED for it. One should build on what one has and make it better. NOT destroy one of the finest international relationships on the planet.
Sure there were issues.....but those can be worked out if both parities want to .What the US has done is exposed it's weaknesses for the wrold to see , and removed any remaining trust that might have existed. Greed for wealth and power are the governing issues now for that county.
It is hard to say good bye to what used to be a good friend. And try to establish the most constructive relationship we can. And yet...IF they had another crisis , or terror attack.............we would be there to help ASAP as we did before.
