No I wouldn't say a world event. Baseball is probably bigger world wide that football.

My point being that if you don't even know what and when the Super Bowl is, then you
are out of touch with current events. Because it is publicized that well.

I don't watch TV or read sports in the paper. The girls have been going on about some singing show that ws supposed to be on last night.

What boggles my mind is that even the CBC gets sucked into making a 'news' story out of a professional entertainment event.

It shows the power of marketing, and it shows how out of touch we are as a society. Our 'news' consists mainly of entertainment and fluff, because people don't want to deal with anything difficult.

"Tedious" or not, some of the best commercials are aired during the SuperBowl. They're usually entertaining.

The Doritos unveiled 2 new flavors.. WHUUUT!
