The reason for the rvealing of the Quran ayat: it explains a lot.
It will give more understanding in case one knows why such an aya was revealed.

A large part of the Quran needs explanation; some of the ayat are ambiguous, and others are plain. Some of the ayat have the apparent meaning and other hidden meanings are also peresent.

The time interval of about 1400 years, since the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed: the language implications of some words became different. The Quran prserved the Arabic language from disappearing.

Many of such ayat are explained in The Universe and the Quran and Man after Death

I shall give here some examples of the ayat in the non- translated part of the book : المتشابه من القرآن


Hay, son of Akhtab, the chief of Jews in Yathrib thecity of Prophet Mohammed came together with some Jews and discussed many thingswith Prophet Mohammed, then when they went out;

the Jews said to Hay: Is Mohammed the promised prophet?

He said: “He is : certainly he is!”

They said: “Will you believe in him, while he is one of the Arab, and is not one of us?”

Hay said: “ I am his enemy till death.”

Therefore this aya was revealed:

110وَدَّكَثِيرٌ مِّنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّن بَعْدِ إِيمَانِكُمْكُفَّاراً حَسَدًا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُالْحَقُّ فَاعْفُواْ وَاصْفَحُواْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ اللّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ​

The explanation:

110 A large number of the people of the Bible [lit. Scripture: i.e. Jews] wish they could turn you [O Muslims] back as non-believers,

after you have believed [in Mohammed],

because of their envy,

after the truth [about Mohammed] has become manifest to them [that is the saying of Hay: “certainly he is!”];

but forgive [their words of transgression] and pardon [them as long as they do not hurt or fight you]

till God brings His "command :)Am'r)" [: the Mehdi or Paraclete, who will fight them if he likes]; surely, God is Omnipotent over all things [so He can guide them or terminate them.]

“For the days will come on you, when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, surround you, hem you in on every side,

and will dash you and your children within you to the ground. They will not leave in you one stone on another, because you didn't know the time of your visitation."

islam is not of God! Mohammed said with his own mouth , he had spoken to a demon and was going to hell! He married a child of about 6 years old ,raped the kid at 9 years old!
Even the prophet of Islam, Muhammad, practiced his faith in ways that contradicted the Quran. The Quran said Muhammad was sent to show the mercy of God to the world. But he became a military dictator, attacking, killing and taking plunder to finance his empire. How is that showing mercy? Allah, the god revealed in the Quran, is not a loving father. It says that he desires to lead people astray (Surah 6:39 , 126). He does not help those who are led astray by him (Surah 30:29) and desires to use them to populate hell (Surah 32:13).

islams only great desire is too wipe out Israel! it is because of Abraham, He had two sons ,one was rejected , the other accepted! Ishmael who was rejected started many nations .He was the rejected one! He was a wild man. his hand was against all and all were against Him! We see this in many muslim nations . How they kill each other without mercy or feelings! They kill every day on the earth in most all muslim lands!
It really amazing as many muslims are part Jew! you would think , they would try to help the Jews! But satan has them tricked to hate the JEWS!

The response of the sons now is like the response of the fathers in the past: as is described in the aya explained above.

Prophet Mohammed was envied and then denied because they could not accept a prophet coming from the Arab; and they say Ismael was rejected: no, but they say this out of their rancor, hatred and envy.

The reason for revealing the aya 2: 118

The Arab who were ignorant about the heavenly books like the Torah of Moses, demanded that God Himself should come and tell them that Mohammed is truthful so follow him, or that an objective miracle (other than the Quran) should come to them like the staff of Moses, so they might then believe.

So this aya 2: 118 was revealed:

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ لَوْلاَ يُكَلِّمُنَا اللّهُ أَوْ تَأْتِينَا آيَةٌكَذَلِكَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّثْلَ قَوْلِهِمْ تَشَابَهَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ​

The explanation:

119 (Those who know not, say: 'Would that God have spoken to us, or that a portent have come to us!' So said the people before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike. We have clearly explained the signs [of revelation] to a people who are sure [of faith.])

The interpretation:

Those [Arab, the people of Mohammed] who know not [about the past heavenly books like the Torah of Moses], say:

'Would that God have spoken to us [to tell us that Mohammed is truthful so follow him],

or that an [objective] miracle [like the staff of Moses] have come to us!'

As such said the people before them words of similar import. : It means the past nations who denied their apostles said similar words and demanded similar requests. And when the miracles came to them, they did not believe, so similarly when the miracles that you request come to you, you will not believe just like the past nations, but you will say: this only is magic and sorcery. Your hearts and your opinions are similar to each other; because of your ignorance and stubbornness.

While those who know and understand: they will believe by mere observing the marvels in God’s creation: the sun, the moon, the water, the tree, the fur and the feather and rocks and plains.

So how don’t you believe, while We have revealed the Quran with its clear and obvious revelations indicating the truthfulness of Mohammed? Aren’t such revelations enough for you to believe?

Their hearts are alike: It means alike in blasphemy, hardness, objecting to the prophets and stubbornness.

We have clearly explained the signs [of revelation indicating the truthfulness of Mohammed] to a people who are sure [of faith, and so they believe in the Quran .]

The Grade 2 Class who were ignorant about the heavenly books like the Daily Mail of Jack Layton, demanded that Mrs Smith Himself should come and tell them that John Smith is truthful so follow him, or that an objective snack time (other than the Sears catalog) should come to them like the staff of Jack Layton, so they might then believe.

So this chocolate cake 2: 118 was revealed:

have to wonder why I have returned so many of their packages, guess I don't believe enough. lol

The reason for revealing the aya 2: 120

Prophet Mohammed used to forgive Jews and Christians, and seek to please them; that they may convert and become Muslims; so God admonished him not to do that, in this aya:

وَلَن تَرْضَى عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلاَ النَّصَارَى حَتَّى تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَى وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلاَ نَصِيرٍ​

The explanation:

(121 Never will Jews or Christians be pleased with you [Mohammed] unless you follow their creed.

Say: "The guidance of God [revealed in the Quran] is the [true] guidance."

But if you follow their vain desires even after the knowledge that has come to you, then – from God – you will have neither patron nor any helper.

The interpretation:

(Never will Jews or Christians be pleased with you [Mohammed] unless you follow their creed.)

It means: they will not be pleased with you whatever you forgive them unless you follow their religion.

(Say [Mohammed, to them]:

"The guidance of God [revealed in the Quran] is the [true] guidance.") It means: The Quran guides you to the correct way, so follow it.

Then God started to alert him to their cunning, deceit and their designs

(But if you follow their vain desires even after the knowledge that has come to you) which We have acquainted you with.

(then – from God – you will have neither patron) that takes care about you (nor any helper [that helps you against them].)

That is because if you follow their vain desires, they will leave, cheat and kill you as did they kill Zachariah, John Baptist and many other prophets.



The summary of the aya:

God says to Mohammed: Don’t forgive (or be mild with) Jews and Christians that they may convert ; but invite them to the Quran and wrangle with them with wisdom and good admonition, so any of them is guided: it is for his own advantage, and any who is blind to it then it is against himself, and you are not guardian over them.

Those that feel a need to convince others that their way is the only way are not convinced themselves of their own righteousness. They need others to believe as they do. They think that if others believe then there must be validity to their beliefs. But it doesn't work that way. There is not strength in numbers, just mob mentality. And we all know just how unruly mobs can get. People die and are maimed by the self righteous every day, particularly in the Islamic world. As I have said before, just look at the Middle East to see how pissed your god is at your people.
